I must admit I have only played around 5 games (which I won all) around rank 4-3. 2 against Hunter, 1 against Zoolock, 1 against Galakrond Rogue and 1 against Quest Druid. You are probably right though and I got very lucky against the Hunter early game, but once you reach the later turns its usually smooth sailing, because you have so many board clears and removal options. An Omega Mind + Earthquake is usually a full heal. King Phaoris followed by a Shudderwock usually ends the game then. But yea like I said I have a very limited sample size..
Awesome deck! I tried something similar with Highlander, but this is much more consistent and viable. It's really fun to keep clearing boards of Zoo Warlocks and Aggro Hunter, while healing out of range. Too bad a lot of the cards are getting rotated out soon :(
Embiggen Druid is such bullshit. Wow you just played a 7/6 4 mana Faerie Dragon and a bunch of other untargetable bullshit? Also why nerf Wild Growth and just print a waaaaay better version of it. That makes zero sense Blizzard...
Pretty fun deck and surprisingly strong (at least around Rank 5)! I tried some Spell/Elemental hybrid to test out the new Animated Avalanche card, but this works much better. :)
Thank you Blizzard! Usually it takes you 1-2 months to long to do some nerfs, making the game super repetitive and unfun. I can't wait for the nerfs and to not face the same Shaman deck over and over again!
Maybe its because I have only been playing Whizzbang and his less than refined decks, but Quest+Galakrond or just Galakrond Shaman seems super broken. They generate incredible tempo with their 2/1 with rush, seemingly being able to turn the table within a turn with just that 3/3 5 mana guy and his two 2/1s with rush. Usually that 5 mana gets evolved into a Boulderfist Ogre or something. You can never play more than 3 minions really because of one of my most hated cards (MCT). At the same time thanks to all the lackeys they manage to produce a lot of value too. Not to mention the 5 mana for 2x 5/6 with taunt (remember when 4 mana 7/7 seemed broken?), 7 mana 2x 8/8 with rush and a 5/2 weapon etc. I just hate playing against this deck... I can't wait for some nerfs, because they seem desperately needed.
