posted a message on Can We Talk About Coldlight Oracle?

Now that Rogue is losing coldlight (cause let's face it, oracle was basically a rogue class card who sometimes found his way into Freeze Mage) can we please get Gang Up moved to the classic set?

Went 13-4 from rank 20 to 15 in Standard, good starting budget deck for casual players. I swapped out the Cobalt Scalebanes for a Drakonaid Operative and Kabal Songstealer, or two Operatives. Lost to two shamans, one evolve, the other elemental, devolve screwed me both times, meanwhile the other two loses were mostly from missplays.

Weird reference here, but when you play Animal Companion against Kel'Thuzard it summons Mr. Bigglesworth, which is a reference to Austin Powers and Dr. Evil's freaky little bald cat, Mr. Bigglesworth

Image result for dr evil mr bigglesworth

posted a message on Warlock Hero Reveal - Bloodreaver Gul'dan

You guys are acting like summoning a board full of minions isn't affecting the board. xD

I'm not saying this card is great or anything, because I'm keeping my judgements in reserve, but if you manage to summon a Voidwalker, a Doomguard, and two or more other minions, you've significantly altered the board state. What made Call of the Wild powerful? The synergy of the beasts, and the taunt/charge, which is similar to this, except for an additional justicar trueheart effect, and five armor, which compared with a pre nerf call of the wild, is probably way more value. And four demons isn't hard to pull off nevermind building a deck around this like N'zoth. (I'll concede the beast synergy has way more value then the demon synergy but meh, I'm sticking to this.)

In an aggro meta, this might not have much value or any at all, but in any midrange to controlish meta (Wild.), which it looks like midrange might be a thing again (even a small %) in standard, then this card will be golden just like N'Zoth is. It's impossible to judge what the meta is going to look like at the release of this expansion, nevermind what the more refined decks will look like? Remember all of those horribly incorrect card ratings of Un'Goro? Who knows, it could be the Rogue DK that wins this expac with a new refined Quest deck.

    Plus that hero power, omg!

Edit: and you can always play around discarding this card with your doomguard, sure there's the odd games where you'll lose it, but if that's the case, you should have some sort of redundant win condition to fall back on in place of it if your playing this deck. Priests that have Lyra also have that OTK shit, if you wipe a druids board they have another one next turn, Paladins have their early game murlocs into late game Tirion's (and always, fucking, two Tirions in each Pally deck, now 3).

    Quote from Megido_Thanatos >>

2 claws and 2 jinyu is staple in shaman now so you only need 1 overload to make this playable (6 mana 8/8 elemental) but seems not good enough to play outside elemental deck

Not so much the Jinyu's, but I could see this being staple in aggro shaman, two lightning bolts, two lava bursts, an ancient knowledge, and you have 3 mana 8/8's, which means two could be played along side shamans 3 mana spell "Give your minions deathrattle, add this card to your hand." I could see it being a very solid finisher along with a flametongue.
(I play wild, but go ahead and insert any other 2 overload card in place of ancient knowledge.)

posted a message on New Card - Happy Ghoul

It reminds me of the 4 mana 3/3 with taunt that has its cost reduced by the amount of your weapons attack. It didn't get used for a long time, but I could see this being used by priests to help stem the tide of aggro a tiny bit, or maybe by... Paladins with lifesteal/Truesilver?

Might have some use in the new Handbuff Pally Meta were facing xP

posted a message on New Warlock Legendary - Blood-Queen Lana’thel

I think this card is more like Knuckles then Bolvar, which is still not a good thing :(

Knuckles is a 3/7 that deals damage to the opponent's hero as well as the minion. So, a little less versatile, but more efficient. The lifesteal on this makes it so the target doesn't matter as much, whereas with knuckles you want to be taking beneficial trades, to add all the extra damage you can. Knuckles also has beast synergy, whereas this doesn't have any demon synergy,

Knuckles still doesn't see play in this meta, I can't imagine this would either. Both Discardlock and all hunter decks are considered aggro or Midrange, meaning these two cards would fill a similar niche. And knuckles still hasn't found his niche, will Blood Queen Lanathel find hers?

    *disclaimer: wild player, not standard*

posted a message on Crafting Rotating Goldens

Okay, just so I know I'm reading this right. Does this mean we can go ahead and craft a golden Rag/Slyv or any of the rotating cards, and get a full refund, plus keep the cards?

Because... Thats awesome! My extra 7 drakes are sad, but I'm pretty sure I'll be further ahead this way.

I'll trade you your White Eyes for my The Mistcaller... Ughh, whenever I see that card I still think, maybe, one day...

Best craft, and I still grin about this, Yogg Saron, because I knew the nerfhammer was going to hit it.

(Okay, it was like a coin toss between that and Nzoth, but I pulled that one already.)

I'd be curious to know EXACTLY how the pity timers work. Like what exactly is the number, is it spread across all packs, does it stack or reset. It's pretty much confirmed that it exists, but the specifics if known, really aren't that easy to obtain. At least, not when I last looked into it.

Well, it was hard not to skip the Kripp down below, that video actually answered quite a few of my questions. SOOO.... nevermind my questions.

posted a message on How did my Opponent play a second Kazakus?

Sometimes after playing a few matches in a row of the same match up, I kind of get messed up thinking they used, say two Totem Golems, and then a third one pops out and kind of screws with me a bit. Could this of been the case?

I'm not advocating it, but I've started using a deck tracker to avoid that problem.

    Quote from DerGReif2 >>

I find it kind of funny xD I play wild and I enjoy it so much and some others cry that some cards will disappear... they are not gone just in a other format. time to try it boys. (no Secret paladin Dr7 arguments please, that's not true at all xD)

Actually I play wild almost exclusively as well, none of these rotations will affect any of my decks.

Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, and Thunder Bluff Valiant. You will be missed my friends. At least we still have Doomhammer.

    no.

i dont believe blizzard/team 5 would print these kinds of cards that aren't exclusive to MSoG with no intent on printing more in future sets.

I think your correct here. We didn't see any support for C'thun because it was a stand alone type deal. I think now that the no duplicate effects are across multiple expansions we're very likely to see more of them in the future.
(Although, the archetype may die in between rotation and the first or second expansion/adventure post-rotation.)
