posted a message on Is paladin DK Hero power not RNG?

I’m pretty sure the person who said 37.5% odds of completing the combo first try assuming full removal each roll is right. The odds of this occurring six games in a row should be 0.27% though. So you are right to assume the odds are very low. That said, if you’ve played several hundred or even thousands of games ever you are gauranteed to experience things that are this rare so it’s not completely surprising that it happened to you.

posted a message on I just got the bat... advice?

I shoved it in my control lock as the finisher/pressure generator with the two +2/+2 sells instead of blood bloom, arcane tyrant, and Glinda. I feel it is an easier combo to pull off (one less card required) and the blood bloom combo often couldn’t be played because the health loss was too risky. I haven’t had a chance to play it much though, just 4 games since I put that together. The bat won one of those though, against spell hunter. Two were easy Aggro wins, and the other was a shudderwock whose combo went in the wrong order (I rushed Rin, but he still put the whole combo together) and I cleared his shudderwocks.

I got stucked at rank 3 for a week and almost lost hope of hitting legend this mont. Than I picked murloc mage and had amazing win streak into legend rank, it felt so funny and dirty :D

I'm loving this deck. Got me from rank 10 to 4 in no time.

Is it worth crafting? I'll have to use all my dust and won't be able to craft Dorian but it just looks so fun. Is it worth playing without Dorian?

I crafted Aluneth for it, and I am loving this deck, but I will say that Dorian with Aluneth up wins games on the spot. Maybe I still would have won those games just with Aluneth, but the synergy when someone doesn’t clear Dorian’s murlocs ends games immediately.

    double gnomeferatu, the darkness

What happen when gnomeferatu remove a candle? Or you only play darkness when opponent already was in fatigue?

I tried control without lackeys and with Glinda, voodoo doctor for healing, double gnomeferatu, the darkness, skulking Geist, and Deathwing. I haven’t played it lately, but suspect that recruit hunter would be a huge problem because of the redundancy of ways for them to recruit. Gnomeferatu wouldn’t be likely to mess them up like it does with the other combo decks.

wouldn't mind if you share your deck

I can’t get the deck import working right on my phone, but here is the code. Both the darkness and Deathwing are just finishers, usually when opponent is in fatigue. I almost never drop them when I think the opponent can remove them still. Deathwing I’ve considered removing. He has only won me a few games. Usually he is used when my opponent manages to stop the darkness, but had to use his last resources to do so.

posted a message on To anyone hoping to craft Tempo Mage

I just crafted Aluneth for murloc mage and it’s been a ton of fun. I climbed from 10 and zero stars to 8 and 4 stars on two win streaks with 1 or two losses in the middle. I’ve been stuck a bit the last ten games, but the book drew 2 spells in 6 of those games. It’s not an insanely fast climb or anything, but it has a good chance against everything but odd paly and odd rogue so far. Hunter is also tough, but definitely more like 50/50. It smashes even warloc. If you crafted Aluneth I would give it a try. A note though... initially I thought it was supposed to be played all out Aggro like other murloc decks, but that isn’t the case in most matchups. You have to hold off dumping your murlocs until you can combo them out of removal range usually.

Hail Mary in Monster Run as Toki. I had lost on the second to last battle if Yogg couldn’t save me. He cast Mind Control on their minion for the win as his last spell. He also won the game against infinite Toki.

Why would he be able to pull any minion? His effect relies on Attack not Cost. Do you mean Oaken Summons?

I wrote the wrong minion. I have edited original post to fix.

posted a message on Oakhart Barnabus Interaction

While playing a tempo based Jungle Giants deck I just discovered that Grizzled Guardian can pull any minion once you drop barnabus. Anyone who was already aware of this interaction refined a deck around it? I don’t have a lot of the big legendaries so I can’t imagine being able to put a good big minion deck together for it, but it seems like a deck a lot of people would enjoy if even remotely competitive.

*Edit* I meant Grizzled Guardian not Oakhart

posted a message on Jungle Giants - fun card to play?

I'm playing a fast jungle Giants using the 2 cost generate a 5 attack, the 5 attack adapt 3 card, Ancient Brewmaster, (amazing in jungle Giants, either provides 3 towards quest or sometimes combos for OTK with C'Thun), the 5 drop choose your secret deathrattle (amazing in jungle Giants also, provides very necessary aggro/tempo board clear) and a C'Thun, Hadronox, Taunt package (I almost never need or draw hadranox, but C'Thun and the above 5 attack C'Thun minions are fantastic). It's extremely fun and fast enough to stay competitive against midrange decks and even aggro or tempo is winnable. I usually complete the quest by turn 8 and on turn ten flood the board from ultimate infestation or nourish.

posted a message on Burgle Mechanic "Nerf"

My instinct was to be critical of this, but I think this makes more sense. I've always been a little baffled that it doesn't steal cards from their deck, since that makes more sense in terms of how stealing actually works.

Edit: I'd say that it should actually even take the card from their deck, but that would be further fuel for Mill Rogue and make Rogue a very hard counter to all combo decks, which would be game breaking imo.

posted a message on Golden Renounce Darkness worth the 1600 Dust?

Edit: didn't read your post carefully enough. I wouldn't craft a second one unless you're really committed to renouncing darkness as often as possible. The best use of renouncing darkness I've seen is as a single copy in an already viable deck used to out value an opponent or as a back up plan in bad matchups.

Decided to theorycraft my idea. Here's what I was looking to try. Maybe someone who has the cards can see if it's alright enough to have some fun with. I'm missing the Lich King (replaceable), Jungle Giants, and both Ultimate Infestations so it's not testable for me.

posted a message on Cut the cord; abandon Standard! :)

Didn't start playing until November 2016 so I avoided cards that would rotate out like the plague. But now that I can buy them again I'm going to do so. Just got the three rotated adventures. Still need to get at least 50 packs from each of the expansions. After that I have a feeling I'm going to play a lot more wild than standard (I will start playing some wild as soon as I'm done with the adventures).

I really wanted to try a C'Thun Hadronox deck using the quest. It would use the pull back pandas. However, I wanted a OTK to be doable if you completed the quest before pulling C'Thun (using the smaller pull back panda and innervate) but the nerf means you'd need to draw both cards after completion to pull it off. I don't think the deck would be amazing, but it'd be really fun.
