posted a message on [Top 32 Legend] Freeze Mage

In which universe is freeze mage a better option than quest mage? Seriously, this deck is so outdated. Also you have limited damage making druids, warriors and heal heavy decks a pain in the ass to play against while on the other hand quest mage gives you an infinite amount of damage turn. They also prey on the same type of matchups (slow decks), but quest mage simply does it better. There's absolutely 0 reason to play freeze mage while quest mage exist. I used to play a lot of freeze mage and I enjoyed the deck but now it's just dead. Don't be fooled my friends.

posted a message on Which Kobolds Legendary to Craft?

I would exclude Rin: there's no point of crafting a legendary card for a deck that aims to replace all your class cards with other ones. Also it's the more meme deck of the 3, so I would build around the other two.

    I don't know about 90% ....

But this deck is Amazing! I only use Lyra over Elise (cause I dont have elise). The thing is, I think this version is better than the one that cycles through the entire deck because this one doesnt necessarily require you to draw Anduin and Raza to win. You have so much value in this deck that no control deck can outvalue you, you are not going to lose in fatigue nearly as much and in the end it's incredibly fun to play. Definetly recommended. As OP said, it's a bit weaker vs aggro but a bit does not mean 40% WR.

    Good job sir

posted a message on Should Brawl be removed from the game?
    Quote from ZenthonTitan >>

The trouble with warriors is that they do not actually have a good form of AOE board clearing. The least they have are the likes of WhirlwindRevenge and Ravaging Ghoul, but those would still leave bigger minions on the board and would be hard to remove because of the control warrior's slow play. Patron warriors are a relatively more aggressive deck which would feature more early game threats, so it can effectively deal with whatever comes from the opponent. Brawl is a fun game changer that can reward or punish you depending on how your luck runs.

posted a message on Control meta?

    Hi everyone!

Is it just me or the era of control meta has arrived? I'm currently at rank 7 on EU and around 70% of the decks I face are control. We are talking about N'Zoth paladin, Control priest, ramp druid, control warrior (a LOT of control warriors), all C'thun decks (some of them can be considered midrange-ish but still they rely on a 10-drop) and so on. I mean, I'm not complaining, I love control style. Did you notice the same?

If you netdeck you have to endure being called a "netdecker", because that's neither a lie nor an insult but a fact. If you have a negative connotation for the word, it simply means that you know yourself that it's a lazy way out and showcases a lack of (deckbuilding) skill.

That's all there is to it.

Te be honest, "deckbuilding" is the actual skill in HS, since the game itself so easy to pilot. Give a new player a FOTM tier 1 deck, and I can assure you he can reach legend within a month. Tho, the HS card pool is limited and many decks auto-build themselves to a certain degree, so even that point is kinda moot.

What agitates me is when a FOTM netdecker face shaman BMs on top. That's prime jerk asshat behavior. That's like cheating on a test and then boasting about being "so intelligent". It's pathetic, really.

    On topic :

There is no skill PLAYING this game. There are 6 years old children in legend ranks.

99% of the skill in this game -> deck building, sorry op.

Being able to reach legend with a netdeck only proves one thing : that you have functional eyes and brain, and no girlfriend.

100% of pro players know how to build decks. You don't build decks, you're not a pro player, that's it.

I actually agree with what you are saying: I think that this game is mainly based on:
    -deck
-luck connected to finding a good matchup
-luck connected to having good draws
-luck connected to your oppenent having good draws
    -general rng luck
Your winning chances are for the most part relying on luck and creating the deck. I don't really agree that ALL pros are actually all that good: just look at Dog or SilentStorm playing on tournaments and you'll understand what I'm talking about. If you think that 99% of what makes you a good player is deckbuilding, you might be right. In that case I suck at this game. But this means that also 90% of the HS players suck at the game.

Wow, you are like so cool writing with numbers and stuff. How do you do that? Is it because you didn't have time to attend school?
There's nothing constructive to be said to a thread where you're just stroking your ego.
The website didn't work, but I actually quoted chiribuchiriba with that comment. That wasn't referred to you.

It's actually: Being a netdecker doesn't make you a bad player. You can be the best player in the world (not talking about me ;)) and still netdeck.

Disclaimer: For those wondering: the point of the thread is: netdecking doesn't make you a bad player, yo can be a very good player and still netdeck. That being said, you won't find any kind of modesty in this post. If that's a problem for you, simply avoid posting a reply.

Yes, I admit: I never make my own decks. Sometimes I try, for example when a new expansion comes out. But after 1-2 weeks, I just come here to see what this community has created and 'borrow' the decks. Why? Because I suck at deckbuilding. And that doesn't make me a bad player: I honestly think my skill level is comparable to the pros'. I'm not even kidding: I reached legend 3 times (the only times I tried) and consistently reach rank 5 every month (who doesn't) mostly with control decks (so you don't come up and say that everyone can reach legend with face hunter or braindead decks like that, because I never use them). Also I follow many hs youtubers and most tournaments and often I find myself thinking a better play than the pros do. An example: semifinals 2015, thijs vs ostkaka. I saw the play of pinging my own face in freeze mage mirror before he made the play and before the casters started saying 'what an amazing play!!' or whatever. I also wouldn't have missed lethal if I were ostkaka playing patron by whirlwinding before attacking with the patron close to the flametongue totem. You are free not to believe me, but I can bet my ass I'm not lying nor telling the story bigger than it is. I'm just actually that good at the game. That being said, one thing I cannot do that pros actually do is deckbuilding. Also I think that not all pros are actually good at it. Because deckbuilding is an art and it's incredibly hard to come up with a competitive deck. That's why I netdeck. Also why is that a bad thing? I mean, I don't even like that part of the game, it's incredibly boring. I like playing games with a good deck, doesn't matter if it's made by me or not. Also, if people just post their decks here, why shouldn't I use them? Then what's the point of posting at all? Well, these are just my thoughts, let me know what you think on the topic
