posted a message on New Warrior Card - Blood To Ichor

My question is how does this rate against Inner Rage? They both can ping for 1 and both give you +2 attack on board. The difference being that Inner Rage is 0 mana, the damage has "charge" if it's used on a minion that's been on the field for a turn, but if you use it on the opponent they get the +2 attack. Blood to Ichor cost one mana, the +2 attack isn't instant, but it comes with it's own 2/2 body, and you still get the body if you use it on an opponents minoin, unless it's used to straight kill something.

posted a message on New Warlock Card - Dreadsteed

I know this card on paper sucks but just the fact that an infinite minion now exists does open up some interesting ideas. I feel like just by the nature of this card's effect eventually this guy will be used in something, just maybe not right away.

posted a message on 4 hour maintenance Tuesday - Release of TGT?

Considering they said they'd be revealing more cards next Friday, I'd say no. It's not uncommon for them to do maintenance Tuesdays, it doesn't mean the launch of any major patches.

Seems like an interesting card. It's like a Mechanical Yeti that happens on Battlecry and had a huge range of randomness. You could get the Mind Blast you needed for lethal or give your opponent the UTH they needed to clear your board. So many possibilities it's hard to say if the RNG is worth the 3/4 for 3.

Mages are playing this guys 100% Being able to start at 2 damage before any Fallen Heroes is so strong, plus this guys is just asking to be the target of Effigy. Get his effect, then get a good 6 drop like Bloodhoof, Sylvannas, Sky Golem, or even best case a Coldarra Drake.

I could see this being played if your deck doesn't have any good 2 drops, since you can play this on turn one and just hero power turn two while still getting something small out of it.

posted a message on The 4th Button - speculation?

While it seems some sort of Tournament mode is most likely, I think it would be interesting to see what they name it. They went thematic with their draft mode, why not the same with Tournaments and call it something like Battlegrounds.

posted a message on Strengths of Double Mind Blast in Prest

See I realize already that the Velen style OTK decks don't work, but this isn't going full blown Spell Power/Velen OTK. This is just putting two Mind Blasts in alone in a Dragon Priest deck, which from my experience tends to have a Spell Power out between Velen's Chosen and Azura Drake. The little testing I've been doing with it right now has been really successful.

posted a message on Strengths of Double Mind Blast in Prest

There have been a lot of conversations lately about the strengths and weaknesses of Dragondin and how its major weakness was no finisher burst like Warrior and Druid, but Priest has a similar issue. Most don't have a large burst combo, yet there seems to be a really obvious combo sitting right in front of Priest players that I just never see. Double Mind Blast. Two cards, four mana, 10 damage. while it's not as powerful as Savage Force it's the same as a whirlwind triggered Grom. It's a simple two card combo that can scale with Velen's Chosen and Azura Drake, both cards that seem popular in Dragon Priest. Obviously it doesn't have the same flexibility that the other popular combos have, however if you are running a Wild Pyromancer like most Priest at least used to, it can be an emergency spell to trigger it for only 2 mana. Best of all I think it's the fact that it's only 4 mana. Compared to the 9/10 mana combos of other decks, you could theoretically play a Drake or two Velen's Chosen in the same turn you Mind Blast x2 if the situation presented it for a massive burst.

Has anyone experimented around with this? Is it something that can work as well as it does on paper in practice?

posted a message on New Card - Axe Flinger

Having played around with this guy I think I realized the best way to describe him. He's a big leper gnome. At worst he only does 2 damage to the face, however there is so much more potential damage just sitting in this guy. At most he'll do 10 damage with his passive alone, and that's not including whatever damage he gets in by going to the face. I feel like this is a guy that wins a lot of games for the deck without being obvious about him being the cause.

posted a message on Wing 2...Why isn't their a single word from Blizzard yet?
    Quote from DarkArchon21 »

I know there is some threads already on this but they don't really have any answers. Not understanding how this is supposed to be out any time now and Blizzard hasn't said a damn thing. Why do people have to guess and this confusion with lack of communication? Bullcrap in my books...We shouldn't be left wondering. When is this thing going live ?

But they have communicated. It's coming out the same time as wing 1 did. So tomorrow. Probably around 1pm EST.

posted a message on New Card - Lava Shock

I think this card is getting a little overhyped. While I think it opens up possibilities for Shaman, I do not think it's nearly as good as people are making it out to be. It's commonly said that playing something to make bad cards better, tends not to be good, as there will be times when you'll have one without the other. Circle of Healing is probably one of the only heavily combo'd cards that sees a lot of play, and that's just because there are so many situations where Circle of Healing can be good, not just the single combo. In order to make this card constantly good you'd have to run a lot of 2+ Overload cards. Here's a list of cards that fit that bill.

    2 Overload:
    Doomhammer
    Feral Spirit
    Lava Burst
    Lightning Storm
    Forked Lightning
    Dust Devil

    3 Overload Cards:
    Neptulon
    Earth Elemental

While you can in late game turns play multiples of these cards and then get rid of a large amount of un-usable mana, half of the point of overload cards is to use them early game to set the board ahead at the cost of a slower next turn.

While this card can be good, technically being a better backstab at 2 overload and only getting better with each additional overload you remove, I feel the card is just too situation in most cases to be considered as good as this thread seems to be hyping it.

This is the kind of card that an Aggro warrior really needed. I think it'll be a great help to them for sure. Control Warrior is in a great place, so them adding a card like this that gives Aggro Warrior a little more reach is something I think is very healthy for the game. The more possible decks that can be built from each class the better imo.

posted a message on New Card - Grim Patron

Boy I hope this isn't a sign they are never gonna fix Warsong Commander, because her plus Grim Patron seems like a stupid combo. Killing a theoretical infinite amount of 2/3 minions just seems like such a cool moment.

I'd probably remove one fan and add in a sprint.

Edit: I'd also get rid of shadowstep entirely and put in violet teacher and piloted shredder.

I tried running one Sprint before, and it just seemed like a completely dead card more often than not. As far as dropping the Shadowsteps I'll need to do some testing as they represent further damage and have won me multiple games, but it is possible that having Shredders or Teachers could present more overall damage and value over the longer periods of time.
