posted a message on Ben Brode on Announcements of Announcements, Gadgetzan, Nerfs, & More

It's not about how difficult this would be. I'm sure they could create code for this in about an hour, or whatever.

You have to think about the bigger picture. People who want to troll are going to troll. Say they add this option, everybody knows most people are going to have it enabled by default (Maybe new players won't, but sooner or later most people will tick that box). Once people catch on to that, the community will create new trolling that bypasses emotes. Maybe it's mousing over your hero over and over before lethal, maybe it's using arrows from declaring attacks for 15 seconds on your hero's face. Maybe more roping. We'll all be back here complaining that they should remove enemy visible targeting arrows or card light ups on mouse over, or whatever the new salt inducing strat is.

At least with the current system it is limited to emotes, which judging by how often people throw them around, you could think that most players do not assume EVERYONE insta-squelches. So a lot of trolling stays in the emote system, without costing the player time.

posted a message on Khadgar, new Mage Skin, on the iOS Store!

I assume they released a skin for a class that already has a skin, as it would be pretty weak to release say, a rogue skin- and now the only way you can get any alternate skin for rogue is through a charity promotion (which if you are reading this from the future, may already over).

Anyway WWF is a pretty good fund as far as funds go. They generally use a decent chunk of the cash they receive to actually, you know, help animals. If you wanted to donate for that reason, there are certainly many worse charities you could choose. And you get a cool skin to boot.

If you're curious, you can Google them and check out charity reviews. Please note however that many large charities such as this do spend a ton on staffing and management, so the actual percent of your dollars that get to the cause will vary greatly, and most certainly be reduced.

    Food for thought.

Would you rather get 3 random spells for 5, or a 6/3 body and discover a spell for 6?

I know everyone hates this card, but why not run Silent Knight over the stalker? The one extra toughness on the stalker isn't nearly as good as the divine shield on the knight, and can still be kept in stealth and buffed late game, and make even more favorable trades.

posted a message on Dragon Priest + Stats & Guide

I've been playing priest for almost a year now, and I've been testing Dragon Priest for a few days. I've settled on this deck for the past day and a half.

I've been playing and testing it between ranks 12-8 before I settle on a deck and push for legend, maybe with about 30-40 games under my belt. I did replace one shadow madness for Vol'Jin with good results. Many people are running Yseara or other high toughness but low attack creatures, and since we do not run Mind Control I feel we need something to deal with them. I also run one hungry dragon over one of the Dragonkin, as two of them seems a bit much- Your buffs are usually used early to trade favourably or saved until late game to buff Chromaggus for a double draw on turn 9. a 3/5 for 4 without the buff really doesn't cut it in a tempo deck. Finally, I do run Boom in place of Toshley.

Overall, the deck preforms above average. I'm not sure it's something that could be taken to legend easily, as some times (especially when you go second) your hand is just way too slow for the first 3 turns. This really isn't the fault of the deck creator, I just think the meta is too fast for priest a lot of the time right now. The games where you do pull that Whelp into turn two Blackwing Tech to Dark Cultist you almost feel like you're cheating, but more often than not your hand ends up being Dark Cultist/Four Drop/Shadow Word, even with an aggressive mulligan, as you watch your opponent set up the board for two turns.

I'm not sure about Wild Pyro. It's clearly the MVP of many control priest decks, but in this deck it seems it rarely lives long enough to get a burn off, once again especially if you go first. Also, remember that we do not run circle of healing, which means we have two less spells than an average priest to proc Wild Pyro (which you do use sometimes, like running pyro into a haunted creeper and then circling.) Testing could be done with Shadow Boxer, Gilbin Stalker, or if you're ballsy, Fairy Dragon.

I'm going to continue to play this deck, I anticipate being able to take it to Rank 3-4 with a little work, but I'm anxious to see any meta shifts that might make this deck even better.

Thanks for posting the deck, I've had a great time with it.
