So, I had an interesting concept for a series of cards: real life nations, existing today or historical, represented in Hearthstone. However, the only nation I could do any justice to was the Holy Roman Empire (HRE). So, here it is:
I like the idea of using the Karazhan chess mechanic in a normal game of Hearthstone. Such a mechanic also fits with the HRE as, in the nation, the nobles ran amok and did pretty much whatever what they wanted. The higher attack than health represents the potential strength of the HRE if it would have unified and the extremely low health for the cost represents the lack of stability within the Empire. The balance reason for having such low stats resides in the effect. As, if you are flooding the board, you can get a lot of guaranteed face damage with the Auto-Attack mechanic. But, it can also lead to you losing board control and, if your opponent gains board control with HRE on the board, it can be quite difficult to regain control. I also believe this card promotes strategic gameplay. What are your thoughts? I also would like to see your attempts at recreating a nation, modern or historical, in Hearthstone.
Welp. 5 days and approximately 4k dust later, I finally beat the bastard with all nine classes. It was SO damn luck dependent but I suffered through. It was worth it though. Arthas is an awesome hero. I know none of you care that I did it but just felt like bragging.
I can't quite think of what I want it to be but I know I don't I particularly want divine shield support despite it being the most likely. I just don'tb think that divine shield is a very unique design concept compared to what all the other classes. The other death knights either support the class's main themes or ideas (which paladin doesn't really have one) or push a new archetype. And blizzard has been trying to push divine shield paladin at least since Whispers of the Old Gods. I'm just sick of it. Though, if we're being honest, it'll probably something to do with Murlocs. Blizzard loves to ruin my favorite class with those little shits.
Staleness is bad, variety is good. That means some things need to change. We've had the "activate when X is in hand" for long enough. Time for something new
I love how you say this when we have had the same murloc mechanics since the game was created. Also, it wouldn't be stale if blizzard introduced some cool, unique things to happen when you have x in hand. But when you have "Gain +1/+1" or "Deal 3 damage" then it gets stale.
I think a lot of people are misunderstanding me. Blizzard said regarding Drakonid Operative that they wanted to give dragons one more big push before they rotate out. I just hope they keep supporting Dragon Paladin so that it may yet have its time in the sun.
I for one cannot wait for the end of dragons in any class. They are boring now after so many years. It's time to say goodbye. If you like them so much play wild.
Again, I said this earlier. Dragonadin cannot compete in wild. So, as much as I would like to, its simply infeasilble.

Let Dragon Priest and Warrior die. I don't care too much as they have had their time in the sun. Dragonadin, however, has never shone. It has always been inferior to the other two and I thought it might have its time to shine as the top dragon deck but you had to rotate Azure Drake. Please, Blizzard, don't let dragon paladin die. Let it have its time in the sun.

Rant: why does paladin ALWAYS suck so much?

That picture from Skyrim though. Cool idea but so OP.

Since I refuse to play anyfin paladin because I hate that deck, I am wondering how good would the water package in a midrange pally without Anyfin?

Yea, I like it a lot. I just wish Paladins would get some synergy to go along with Ragnaros, Lightlord but who knows maybe.
