Points taken, concepts cleared, and diplomatic answers intention versus hard facts seeking won't get us anywhere as the discussion went south.

Pretty interesting approach..

The order of expansions undoubtedly influences how decks are forged at a specific point of time. But now to the big question, if expansions A, B, and C are going to be release-finalized at point X; would their order of release influence the final outcome decks?!

Definitely yes unless you specify point Y and enough thought is put in.

In other words, forge a squad of Xixo, Kolento, and other significant non-famous but hardcore-influential creative players + specify a specific deadline for measurement and comparison; and voila! You've got yourself answered.

I drag the pack from the stack Number (adopted from WoWCrendor back in open beta) or drag the pack from the center.

Then preferably start by revealing the top right hand card.

Where's the problem?

Get 5 gold twice and you got 10. If they'd just cut all gold rewards like 35 to 30, 55 to 50 and so on, you'd just get some gold less, which makes some packs in the long run.

Because why would anybody play on the Blizzard server and pay for their cards (or play many hundreds of hours), when they could just go on a private server and instantly have all the cards? It's not like playing on a private WoW server where you end up in a world with maybe 5 other players, which makes playing on them much worse than paying for the real thing... You only need 1 opponent in Hearthstone to play it.

And players making up their own rules would make the game a mess... Why do you think they need half a year to develop GvG, which is in the end just a bunch of cards with an attack, health and mana value and some text written on it? Because Hearthstone's simplicity makes it extremely hard to balance. 

I'm seeing this warning used incorrectly, and it's not good!

This is how Hate Speech is defined.
Hate speech is speech which attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, or gender.

Using this incorrectly leads to appeals which quite frankly I can't say no to approving because the users aren't wrong, even if they were in the wrong about something in their post (trolling, flaming).

If the "Hate Speech" post doesn't fit the definition above, and it doesn't fit any other warnings, reconsider giving the user a warning.

For record's sake, here's the definition of Flaming.
Flaming is a hostile and insulting interaction between persons over the internet, often involving the use of profanity. It can also be the swapping of insults back and forth or with many people teaming up on a single victim.

I've also noticed that used incorrectly. If you are ever slightly unsure about how to deal with something, it's completely okay to come to Slack and ask #hearthpwn-mods. I would prefer if at this point any of our newer mod team members allow someone who has been here longer to answer these questions just to ensure we've got a good consensus on what is and isn't allowed.

If you bring something to Slack, mark the report as Escalated so no one else will touch it. This is a good use of this reporting option! It should also be mentioned that yes, if something is Escalated, that means it's been assigned to someone else and you should ignore the report.

A New Legendary Crafting Tier List Has Appeared!

The ratings in the thread are more than my opinion, they are opinions of people I know, myself and popular Steamers such as Trump, Reynad, Sjow, etc. I am ranking the Cards in Tiers/Brackets I am doing this because it is impossible to rate them from 1 to X.

This is not a tier list of the best Legendaries, this is a Crafting Tier list. This list is used to find out which Legendaries to craft and Disenchant. Arena and non-competitive play have no bearing on this list. 

I have arranged the Legendaries this way to not only show their importance in constructed but also to inform readers on how/why they are useful. If you have any questions about the tier list ask them, if you believe the tier list should be changed in any way, PM me.

Remember: If you would like to know what Legendary to craft, please include the decks you play and the decks you are going to play. This is necessary and someone can help you a lot easier.

• Archmage Antonidas - tech in tempo and freeze mage

Old Gods Expansion

• Xaril, Poisoned Mind - Tech for Miracle Rogue(increase winrate VS control)
• Yogg-Saron, Hope's End - techable for druid, mage and warrior 

One Night in Karazhan

• Medivh, the Guardian: - Usable in Control Mage and Warlock decks
• The Curator - Used in many Midrange decks such as Dragon Priest and Taunt Warrior
• Moreoes - Used in Quest Rogue as control tech.

Cards that are usable, but see little play and can be replaced easily(keep for specific reasons)

These Legendaries are usually out of meta and weird tech choices that you probably will not see anymore but are still viable options that may be playable later.

• Ysera - Playable in many control and dragon decks

• Soggoth the Slitherer - playable in control paladin and ramp druid

• Princess Huhuran - playable in midrange hunter

Initial Moderator Setup

Now that you are a moderator and know all of the rules, there's some additional setup you need to complete before you start tackling moderator duties headon.

1) Enable Show Deleted & Spammed Content

The delete feature on our forums is a soft-delete, meaning the visibility of the post/thread is changed, and contents of threads are never lost. Unfortunately, moderators by default are unable to see deleted or spammed posts, so you're going to want to enable the option to view them.

You now have two new options under my preferences that you should enable. They are called:

• Show Delete Content
• Show Content Marked as Spam

2) IP Address Whitelisting

In order to access the moderator control panel, you must be logged in from a trusted / whitelisted IP. Your IP address has already been whitelisted when you were first brought on board the team, but if you have a dynamic ip, or by chance your static ip decided to run away, you're going to need to get the new address whitelisted.

To get your IP whitelisted, you have two options:

• Option A - Ask another moderator / administrator to manually add you to the whitelist.
• This is accomplished by having them visit the control panel, going to the membership area to get to the users search tab, and then typing your username in. Once the profile is brought up, they will click on the IP Security tab and then whitelist the IP address at the top. It is not mandatory to remove IP addresses from the whitelist, but it's certainly not a bad idea if you're never going to be on that IP again.
• Option B -  Attach your mobile phone number to your account to whitelist yourself automagically.
• You now have a new option under my account which allows you to specify a Mobile Phone Number. If you are ever caught on an IP address which is not whitelisted, you will be prompted to input a code that will be sent to you via text message. This is by far the best method for account security!!

3) An Important Note on Spam Content

It is VITAL that you understand our spam filter.

Content which is marked as spam is put into our spam filter. These posts will then be used to decide what other content on the site should be marked as spam.

Putting in threads that are not spam can seriously fuck up our filter. 

Some spammers use messed up tactics to spam their links which could harm our spam filter. The following types of threads should be DELETED instead of spammed to make sure our filter is good!

• Spammers posting reddit links.
• Spammers posting content which is highly hearthstone related. (Card names, duplicates of other posts people have made)

4) Forums We Don't Touch

Unless you're on the Fan Creations team, we don't touch that forum - that's their domain. Any reports you see for this forum simply set them to escalated and let them deal with it.

The only time this is not true is if there is spam content on the forum. Spam content must be removed ASAP.

5) Slack

You should already be in Slack since we've got you on board, but you may want to review our "Slack and You" thread which details our move over to Slack for mod communications.

This does add a bit more moderation potential to the site. As I said in Slack:

• We don't currently have a warning for people writing unreadable text. This will be added in the coming days.
• If people are posting text that is not readable, it should have its formatting removed through an edit. Exact rules to be determined on it after we see how it is used in the wild. Any questions about particular cases, please bring it up in #hearthpwn-mods on Slack.
• Currently you can't edit other users custom profile fields, the tech our new bios are done through, so if anything needs to be removed, please let me know and we'll wipe it manually in the DB.
• Fill out your profile and let people know some more about yourself and even what you do around here! If you want to include some links to the rules or feedback forum, it may not be a terrible idea.

The After Hours Site Update

Hey there, don't be scared! Me and Molster have made a few additions to the site this evening in our everlasting sleeplessness. It's very interesting how constructive you can be when attempting to be non-constructive...

You can now fill out a bio for your profile!

Our user pages have been a tad on the blank side, so now you're able to add a bio!

• You can edit your bio via your account profile page.
• Your bio will display on your user page. See mine right here!
• Include whatever you want to tell everyone! Tell us about your favourite games, show us some cool screenshots of your epic plays, your favourite song, whatever!
• All content must be still within our site rules. If you abuse it, expect the wrath of the mod team!

You can post in color on the site!

This one has been of great debate since the site has been around. We've finally decided it's okay, we'll just warn those who abuse it!

• You can now post with different colors, font sizes, and font families.
• If you abuse this feature by making text unreadable, expect a warning. My text on "color" above, yeah, probably not the best idea for readability.
• Use this to your full advantage to make your deck guides and forum posts look excellent! Get creative with formatting your content.

You can now embed Twitch streams and Twitch vods using our video embeds button

This has definitely been requested by someone in the past and now it's possible! Just grab that link for your favourite vod or channel and use the usual button you would use for youtube videos and we'll automatically embed it for you. Great for including gameplay vods in decks and such!

We're closing in on the launch of a new expansion, and that's awesome. This one is going to be very special in that we've got both of Hearthstone's expansion styles merged which is going to make for some fun times.

Creating this thread to detail the launch goal. Will update as needed prior to launch. If there's anything you can lend a hand with, let me know. I will of course bring stuff up in Slack.

• Theorycraft decks post featuring all the new hero class cards.
  • This would be a good post the night before launch.
• Budget decks post (maybe trump will be putting decks out again?)
  
  • Maybe not needed. This works well with the next item
• Expansion mega-post which includes links to absolutely everything people will need.

• Consistent spotlights of pro player decks.
  • Maybe a post every day for the first few days of the expansion which include 3-5 decks for people to play along with some general guidelines.

  • After the first few days, going back to a weekly format on Tuesdays for pro decks is A+.
  • Keep promoting these decks, and community favourites, on social without a main page post.
