ManaGrind is proud to announce that we are collaborating with Major League Gaming (MLG) http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/ to grow and expand the competitive Hearthstone community.  We have been working very hard the past few months trying to establish a competitive scene and are taking the next steps to bring this dream to fruition.

Come and compete with some of the best players Hearthstone has to offer! Anyone with beta access is encouraged to sign up and join in on the fun. Do not be discouraged by the big names that will most likely be joining, this is your chance to grow as a player and expand your skill set. It is an important milestone in all Hearthstone players careers. 

Important!

• You will need an account on the MLG Gamebattles website.
• When creating your team, you must place your BattleTag in the "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft player name" input field.
• If you reach the semi-finals, you must provide a copy of your deck to the ManaGrind Admins. Players who refused to do so will be forfeited.

Prizes

• Winners of the Open tournaments will receive MLG credits.
• MLG Credits can be used to enter paid tournaments on the MLG website.

This Weekend's Tournaments

We will be running two tournaments this weekend. One for North America, and another for Europe.

The North American Open will begin at 2PM EST on Saturday, February 1, 2014, and is open to everyone with a North American Hearthstone beta account. New players, please read this guide for more information on how to join the tournaments, and see this page for more information on the rules.

The European Open will begin at 6PM CET on Sunday, February 2, 2014, and is open to everyone with a North American Hearthstone beta account. New players, please read this guide for more information on how to join the tournaments, and see this page for more information on the rules.

ManaGrind is proud to present it’s current roster for both the NA and EU competitive Teams! As some of you may know ManaGrind has been one of the important players in bringing a competitive aspect to Hearthstone since the Alpha stages of the game by producing various forms of content ranging from webcasts (ManaCast), articles, and reporting deck lists from our numerous weekly tournaments. This amazing adventure has led us into constructing our own competitive Teams populated by some of the most competitive and decorated players of Hearthstone. Please note that we did not include the complete list of achievements from each player but simply a few notable ones per individual. These accomplishments are also not all up to date, they are simply a glimpse at some of our players’ triumphs. We are excited at the thought of hosting or joining higher profile tournaments in the future and facing our competition!

4. Top 8 or top 16 are required to submit a screen shot of their decks to the Tournament Admin.

In the last two I have been in, decklists have been submitted using the Hearthpwn deckbuilder tool rather than decklist screenshots.

Edit: The actual tournament page includes the proper wording:

7.) Top 8 or 16 (top cut) MUST submit decklists to the tournament managers. This should be done using the Hearthpwn.com deck builder. Once the deck is built do not save it, but copy the url in the nav bar and send to the tournament manager so it can be featured in an Hearthpwn article.

After receiving feedback from the previous tournaments we have changed a few things including:

• NA now starts at 2pm EST (Previously did at 4pm EST)

• EU now starts at 6pm CET (Previously did at 7pm CET)
• You can use the following time converter if needed http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/

• Added to [General] rules: "All players must enter their Battle Tag in the "Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft player name" Section when creating their team."

• All players who reach the semi-finals will need to provide a copy of their deck to Managrind admins. Players who refuse to do so will be forfeited.
