LunacyHS posted a message on nerf Knife Juggler - The Most Abused Card in the GamePosted in: Card DiscussionA pretty simple nerf that won't completely starving buzzard the card, make it a 2/2 for 2. It'll still work incredibly well with muster for battle, imp-losion, haunted creeper, etc. It's just the card is already aggressive enough with its mechanic that it really shouldn't be a 3/2. That's what makes it so good, I think it's a way to still make the card viable while also keeping the spirit of the card intact.

Weapon (1) Loading Collection Alright so i have been kind of flirting with this type of hunter deck long before TGT. I'll go through the weird choices and why. Please keep in mind i just revived this idea in my head and built the deck, it is not even remotely finalized and i look forward to your response.
First off, the overall mech theme. This mech theme on hunter kind of draws on a zoo buffing type play style.. It does this through having many mechs, mech warper, metal tooth leaper and enhance-o-mechano. Do you run these buffed minions into face? It really depends on the board, but i would say you do. This aggro type of play compliments the control type seen in the later mana stages, as it isn't really expected. Is this powerful? It was OK in pre-TGT, however i don't really know how i feel about it right now.
Secondly, having to balance this zoo type buffing with traps and the ultimate decision to not take eagle horn. I realize horn is a sick weapon and in most variations of the deck, i do include it. Is it a mistake to not have it? Probably, but share your thoughts anyways.. To be honest, in most variations of the deck, i don't even include a single trap, instead deciding to take 2x deadly shot and 2x steamwheedle sniper. This has proven to be inconsistent. Even 1x steamwheedle can be inconsistent, however being that there is no draw present before 4 mana and even when played, Jeeves does present some tempo loss, the sniper does play into being conservative with the hand. Drawing mechs with hunter has proven to be a tricky ordeal and i would like some insight into your thoughts beyond just Jeeves. Also, with many more 2 mana minions going past 2 health and even into 4, this does reduce snipers effectiveness even when you draw him early.
The Gladiator Bow does try to play into a CW type of play with synergy from the heal bots, however overall it does so quite frivolously. It does have a nice dual function as a finisher in combination with the hero power/mech buffs and so that is why it is in.
You may notice the very strange choice of having 2x feign death with practically no death rattles. Even when i do have a chance to use them, i usually will only use one of them, saving the other for my 8 and 9 mana synergy. The general idea is to always play Foe reaper first, then if he does end up surviving, using thermaplugg, then attacking whatever board he has, to get a maximized 3x leper gnome off the attack. If they end up dying, that is ok, they will still deal damage and if they do not, that is what i end up saving my other feign death for. This combination does not present itself very often and more often than not, will generate atleast 1 dead card in my hand between the two legends plus saving 1 feign death. It is very novel, however i do think the idea is fun, with the ever-so-slightest of potential, mainly drawn from my opponent thinking i am grasping at straws this late in the game with the hunter. At this point, i usually have 1x charge of glad bow left and between board/dps done already, it should be easy to finish, even after a tree of life is played. (Anymore healing than that and the burst dps maxes usually).
I feel like the quality of mech minions i am currently running could be expanded upon. 2x flying machine has worked well in the past. So has 2x annoyotron, 1x demolisher, however i don't really know what to think about it in the current meta. Piloted Sky Golem has proven to be like, the shittiest piece of shit card and it probably will not be staying, but thoughts anyways would be nice.
BGH is also a little questionable, since if i am playing against a full control deck i may be in trouble regardless, but i prefer to be on the safer side of the meta.
So theres my obscure hunter idea. Let me know what aspects of it you think are viable, which are not and what ultimately should be cut/added, as i am having some difficulty making effective decisions on it myself, mainly around secrets, eagle horn, mech minions and late control. Thanks for reading, i look forward to your response.
Also forgot to add owls!
There is definitely a lot to take in with this deck.
People have fiddled around with the idea of mech hunter for a while and have varied success. Trump even brought the deck to a tournament once! (and lost D:) However, I think it is interesting and therefore viable.
Hunter has been very weak recently and in need of some revitalization. Im not saying that this is the savior of decks for hunters, but it does bring back some old concepts that could work in the new meta.
My first impressions:
This deck is very very cute. Which means it is fun to play when everything works exactly how you want it to on paper. Its also INSANE when everything works the exact way we want it. But unfortunately that will only happen roughly 5-10% of the matches you play, and therefore makes the deck inconsistent.
You mentioned the eagle horn bow: This weapon is NUTS: especially if you buff it once, and Gladiators bow doesnt come close to the value/damage you will be dealing with it. In addition it fills out the important 3 slot of your deck.
A lot of your removal and minions and clunky slow and inefficient. Unfortunately there is no other way to say it. There are simply better options out there currently in terms of both minions and removal.
In response to your feign death choice: The card only works in very niche sitautions, which means it will most of the time sit in your hand as a dead card and you wish you were running just about anything else.
This is just my quick overview of your rough draft of the deck.
I will list my add/cuts here:
1 bgh (need to further your game plan not defend against others) -2 steamwheedle (to slow, you are an aggro deck not a control deck), -1powershot (you want to be killing your opponent with minions
-2 arcane nullifier (you dont need taunts in an aggro deck, even with buffs, it goes against your game plan) ,-1 jeeves (only need 1) -1 gladiators longbow
--2 feign death, -1 flying machine, -2antique (you dont need heals in an aggro deck), -1enchanceo mechano (you only need one)
+2 eagle horn bow, +1 spider tank, +2 mechanical yeti, +2 cogmaster, +2 mad scientist, +1 freezing trap, +1dr. boom, +2 clockwork gnome.
These changes make your deck both more aggressive and more consistent. Your goal is to tempo out your opponent and use your strong minions to maintain board control.
Tell me how it works out! Reply back with results/how each card did.

LordPikachuStarscream posted a message on Help me with making my Mill Deck More viablePosted in: DruidQuote from LordPikachuStarscream jumpI have been playing mill druid for a LONG time. It's one of my favorite decks. This is the list I use, and it's stronger than any other list I've encountered:
Mill Druid - ft. Yolowing Unknown Deck by LordPikachuStarscream - Jul 27, 2015Minion (16) - 1x Deathwing
- 1x Big Game Hunter
- 2x Coldlight Oracle
- 2x Deathlord
- 2x Grove Tender
- 2x Keeper of the Grove
- 2x Wild Pyromancer
- 2x Antique Healbot
- 2x Youthful Brewmaster
Ability (14) - 2x Force of Nature
- 2x Tree of Life
- 2x Starfall
- 2x Naturalize
- 2x Poison Seeds
- 2x Swipe
- 2x Wrath
Loading Collection Main changes I'd recommend to your list:
1.) 2 Starfalls, 2 Poison Seeds. This combo is absolutely mandatory.
2.) 2 Antique Healbots. Also mandatory.
3.) Cut Mulch. I experimented with this card and it's okay, can be really good if their hand is full, but with mill you're helping your opponent to draw cards, and as such, it is critical that you get 2-for-1 trades as often as possible. Mulch simply reduces the enemy's tempo. It doesn't trade.
This. OMFG DW is evil, never even thought about that.
Dropping Deathwing after you've exhausted all your board clears and the opponent goes all in is so glorious, just the best feeling in the world. Plus, mine's gold, so it feels even better. :p

I have tried decks for fun with this. Running all the 1 cost spells, then using it to refill the hand. Getting the 1 mana spell effects on the board can be handy. The really cool thing is that if you have 2 in your hand and you play them, you will begin to get x2 the cards off 1x spell, which can be fun if you have the coin.
As others have said, it is way too slow and basically a dead card for, what.. 80% of the game? It was fun while i was trying it out, even going as far as adding it to my dragon hunter control deck but obv that was a very slow deck.

I am currently using poisoned blade in my malygos/reno deck.
Its set up is pretty important and most of the time, your not gonna wanna use it unless you can discount it, 4 cost card 2-1'ing with ooze is a disaster.
Overall, it does have power with it but Harrison is a thing and a 3 card draw/weapon destroy is even more devastating than ooze. I only include it in my deck for when i am against freeze mages, its a nice little tool to handle the doomsayers.
WIth all this being said, i think assassins blade is far superior at the moment.
I was thinking about the card today while i was playing with it and its just short. I think if they added the effect to the card that made using your hero power considered a combo for the duration of the weapons life, along with its current effects, it could have a little more justification for seeing play.

Honestly not that impressed but good for you either way, keep it up homie.

See, the main thing with the argument here is the whole "Value" part of the card and in all posts, once they state the value, they STOP talking about the game itself, as if its over. "Oh, hes got more value now!.. Im doomed!"
Yes, MC does bring value. So does Dr. Boom.. But the argument does not end with the value they bring, it ends with how you deal with the value they bring and once you've determined that there is no way to deal with that value, THEN the card should be deemed OP.
Now, we also have to take into account the scenario of your shitty aggro deck getting bad draws, while the MC player getting good draws. That is going to happen. You are not going to win every game. NOBODY wins every game and if you did, you would be the best in the world. I can tell you right now, if you are unable to play around MC AT ALL, you are not the best player in the world and in fact, are far from it.
There are MC players who are going to be able to play around your Big Game Hunter. You have to anticipate that and if you don't and have no answers, then of course you are going to lose.. That is why the player is playing that deck, that player is relying on you being a "Weak" player. There are also a multitude of players who are going to follow up their MC with a Dr. Boom. That is a LOAD of value that is probably going to take a turn or 2 to get rid of. It happens.
I personally have seen MC 3x on the ladder so far, no more games then that. All 3 games went, MC, Dr. Boom, Tirion. Thats how they went. Did i rage? Of course. Did i lose? No. Their massive value play did fuck up my combo and i was unable to attain lethal through the way i normally do, but simply through board control and removals, i was able to handle it. (WITH NO BIG GAME HUNTER)
If i can do that without a big game hunter, i am pretty sure you can deal with a fucking single MC play. By the way, i run a paladin aggro divine shield deck that is probably the most cancerous thing to ever exist in hearthstone to date.. I don't even run Tirion or a single legendary or any secrets, its just pure fucking cancer and i love it.
You can do it, you just gotta git' gud' bro.

FYI, i have played over 1,000 games of hearthstone and have only been harrisoned twice. The card is so situational that it is often just sitting dead in your hand, awaiting its glorious moment to shine. The body is not attuned to the mana cost and so the board you get from the minion alone is just not valuable.
The only reason quartermaster would be sitting in your hand dead, is because your not using your hero power and as another poster said, Justicar is a great card, simply because she gives you TWO recruits instead of one, making your quartermaster's light up with anticipation.
Harrison is a decent card, but i think your winrate would argue with you over its usefulness. Justicar has endless value.. Harrison will maybe draw u 3 cards with a shit body if your lucky.

GP is over.. Find a new deck to net.
2
Nublets cannot win without their precious net decks, lol.
1
People be like "All you have to do is learn to play around GP!"
And then, they like "GP only thing stopping aggro!, aggro=king now!"
lol...
1
People who play decks like this and think they are being competitive make me laugh. "Oh welp, looks like im playing secret paladin now!" or even "Warrior is my 'main' class" give me a break, your main is to netdeck and hope for the best and i can't help but laugh when players with that attitude get shit on.
Cheers! This is just one less crutch for these folk to prop themselves up with and if the removal of that crutch makes standing on your own two hard, maybe you should find another game to play or build up your collection.
I am a little sad to see the deck go, but only because it gave beginner players a way to get some half decent winrates for some easy gold farming with minimal investment, in context to most other meta decks that have a high dust cost.
But yeah, GP deck was clearly a marketing tactic to sell the adventure and when the next one comes out, you can bet your ass there will be another card to fill that role and with the GP nerf happening now, i think it is safe to say the next adventure will be coming sooner than later.
