I ran into a bunch of tempo warriors and N'Zoth priests which really wrecked me. It's good to know priest still dominates paladin in almost every match up (except maybe Anyfin paladin).

I actually have all the cards in the list, so that's no issue. It'll give me a reason to keep playing with my newly acquired golden paladin! If I tweak any of the cards, I'll report on some of my results.

That's fair. I guess Cairne is at least a high priority for non-dragon N'Zoth paladins, if not a must-have. Your list looks interesting, though, so I'll probably try it out and let you know how it fares.

I do not understand why people are saying that Cairne is such a must have in this deck, I really am. You guys are considering the incorrect archetype! There needs to be dragon synergy, so you have access to two of the best deathrattle minions in the game : Chillmaw and Deathwing, Dragonlord

I am telling y'all, though it is quite apparent nobody reads previous posts in this thread, control DRAGodin is the best way to go with this N'Zoth archetype.

It's fine to suggest different possibilities for an archetype, but you won't get many receptive listeners by telling everyone else they're wrong. Dragon/N'Zoth paladin may be a legitimate, competitive take on the deck, but that doesn't discredit the success others have had with the non-dragon version.

Tuskarr Jouster is certainly worth considering; however, most of the popular decks curve out as high as N'Zoth paladin does (C'Thun being the obvious offender, as well as other N'Zoth paladins, as the deck becomes more popular). Even zoolock uses Sea Giant, which skews the success of jousts. For reliable healing, Forbidden healing is the best option, hands down. It seems, then, the 5 mana slot is a flex spot.

Regarding Corrupted Healbot, I am also conflicted about its place in the deck. The one match-up it really shines in is against C'Thun Druid. Anywhere else, it tends to soak up some minion damage, or some cheap removal. But the OP is right about the lack of strong turn 5 plays before the heavy-hitting deathrattles (Cairne and Sylvanas). For taunts, I'd rather have Psych-o-Tron than Infested Tauren, since the four-mana slot is generally pretty crowded with higher value cards than a weak 2/3 body.

The possible outcome of 1 spell out of about 300 versus 20 out of 300 is a pretty big difference on average. More spells cast allows for more opportunities to find AOE, secrets, direct damage (regardless of the target). You also won't play Yogg when you're ahead. Instead, you'd probably cast him when you're about to die anyway to give yourself an out where one did not exist before.

It's not meant to be a deck's only win condition. If you've played enough spells throughout the game and you're about to lose, it gives you a potential out you otherwise wouldn't have had.

posted a message on Shadowcaster Master!

I've played a handful of games with Nox's triple old gods deck, and Shadowcaster is definitely one of my favorite cards. There aren't many targets you wouldn't want to hit with the battlecry. I got to Brann into Shadowcaster on a Blade of C'Thun to destroy two minions while doubling the stats from them.

Actually, the more spells you cast, the more your results will be overall consistent (most spells are ok or null for the caster depending on the situation). Less than 5 spells would have way more variance.

Anyone having good results with this? I wanted to enchant him for mage but then I realized mage sucks right now.

Generally, you get better results the more spells you cast. If nothing else, he's worth crafting for the hilarity that ensues (unless you're short on dust, that is, and you just hate fun).

I am now a firm believer in Yogg-Saron (who Vanished a rogue's full board of N'Zoth'd minions) and his disciple Shifter Zerus (who transformed into Ragnaros the Lightlord against a face shaman).
