Are people blind or what?
Reno isn't really a mage, Finley isn't really a PALADIN, elise isn't really a druid... It's about the item they are wearing in this expansion. That's is their temporary "class" identity.
Reno has a crystal canon -> Arcane mage stuff
Finley has a Golden fish -> gold, shiny, paladin, you know
Elise has a lunar staff -> balance druid stuff
Brann has a dinosaur and a rifle -> hunter thing.
They are just neutral explorers infused with the power of some items.

I'm not sure they're directly associated with Hagatha. If nothing else, Hench-Clan Burglar is a Kobold and much more likely to be affiliated with Togwaggle.
Instead I think it is just a group, or clan, happy to be hired out as henchmen, and that is exactly what the League of EVIL has done: hired them.
It is notable the clan is a diverse group of the half-intelligent races: murlocs,
gnolls, kobolds and quilboars (so far). I'm not sure if much can be inferred from that but I find it interesting.2
That's what they did with Kalecgos. The amount of text on a card is a limitation though; for better or for worse HS cards never go beyond 4 lines of text, and I don't think it would all fit on Tak. Perhaps a card with only the battlecry you suggest will exist one day.

That's not a bug. Genn doesn't change your hero power, just its cost. So if you don't have a golden hero power to begin with, of course Genn won't make it golden.

This looks like a blend of Rafaam and Hagatha's schemes. Yes it has a few synergies that would distinguish it from them but it is probably too similar.
I too suspect Boom's scheme got changed at the eleventh hour, but it is possible it is overcosted because of major synergy further down the line. After all, some cards have been called dreadful during their own expansion but been important parts of the meta later on (e.g. Leeching Poison), so I am always reluctant to write off cards until they rotate out.

Spectral Cutlass doesn't suck...
Anyway, I like that they're continuing to make rogue weapons with deathrattle. You often won't want to with a 4 attack one but it opens up some interesting decisions with the hero power.

Well TGT gave warrior a 2 mana 3/3 with charge and an easier condition to satisfy on turn 2 (Alexstrasza's Champion), and no one really complained. Why? Because it was a dragon deck, and wasn't given complete freedom to build a deck to break it.
The same applies here. Yes a 2 mana 3/4 with rush is beyond broken, but you can only use it reliably if a significant part of the deck is value focused. It may lead to a tempo-burgle hybrid (which is already possible in Wild), the power of which is difficult to comment on, but certainly it won't break the game in the traditional slow burgle decks.

HS doesn't follow WoW lore very closely, and certainly not chronologically so there is no sense of being 'behind'. Rastkhan's Rumble has ties to the most recent events in WoW (Princess Talanji is a major new character there) for what that's worth.

There's a distinction between the card type 'spell' and the concept of magic. It is pretty obvious few of the hunter/warrior/rogue spells actually represent anything magical.
Meanwhile conjuring minions out of thin air is pretty magical, although I agree it does feel weird to have so many archmages focused solely on this branch of magic.

Avoiding plagiarism is a must, but where there's no infringement on laws game designers should make whatever cards are best for their respective game. If that means having cards that share essentially the same mechanics, then so be it.
BTW, all these card games use the same basic mechanics of having a deck, drawing cards, and having minions and spells (insert appropriate names as required). It is inevitable some card effects look the same too since they are working with the same fundamentals.
So yes, it's A-OK.

Ranks don't mean anything to me. I normally hover between ranks 15 an 9 in both standard and wild (the gap between 9 and 5 is not friendly to the casual decks I play), but I don't really care where I end up at the end of each season.
I have more than enough of a collection to not be worried about grinding out every last bit of gold and dust, so I prefer not to spend any time trying to climb when I can have plenty of fun where I already am.
