Grand Widow Faerlina Boss Guide

Grand Widow Faerlina is the second boss in the Curse of Naxxramas adventure. She resides in the Arachnid Quarter.

Heroic Difficulty Strategy

Play a rush style deck.
Keep the number of cards in your hand low at all times.
If you need to, mulligan your hand to get lower cost minions or spells.
Taunt minions are especially helpful at keeping her minions away from your face and are a great additional target for missiles.

Upon defeating Grand Widow Faerlina for the first time, you will receive Nerub'ar Weblord. Additionally, you will also gain the ability to craft a Golden version of the card.

One thing to notice, when you have deathrattle cards it's less likey that faerlina is going to use rain of fire. I tried keeping nerubian eggs on board often, and clearing her board. my deck here, nothing fancy:

I thought Faelina would be my number 1 hate boss but I made it as a priest with a very basic deck.

Just keep your hand empty and your (cheap) minions alive!

How about a warrior deck with on damage minions like the acolyte of pain, frothing berserker, gurubashi berserker, armoursmith? I read that avenging wrath may backfire if used on such a deck so this deck may counter her hero power too.

I had this idea. Used this to kill her on Heroic in one try. She for some reason ignored the 20 ATK Frothing Berserker for my face.

Never drew it, but in hindsight Warsong Commander was kind of useless in this. Replace it, and probably Upgrade with whatever you want.

Used the Zoo deck listed on this page and one shot it pretty easily. It is mostly just going for the face but also being smart about certain board clears (kill the Necroknight at the right time for instance). Keep your hand close to empty and its no problem.

Ramp Druid with SR+FoN nails this one. Get off a early wild growth and youre safe. I even had a lucky turn 5 nourish for 2 crystals, though I still would have won w/o it.

Little clarification for the Hero Power, each missile does (1) damage.

EDIT: It seems that the Hero Power can "choose" which minions to attack with missiles, if It kills a minion before the missiles are all used.
