Monster Hunt
- Works like Dungeon Run in that you play a hero against bosses and build a deck as you progress.
- Does not use normal Hearthstone heroes, this has four unique characters.
- The final boss at the end of Monster Hunt is different for each of the four classes.
Below are pictures of the Cannoneer, Houndmaster, Time Tinkerer, and Tracker heroes from Monster Hunt.
New Keyword: Echo
Echo cards can be played multiple times on the turn you play them. Each time, it’ll add a ghostly copy of the card back to your hand that disappears at the end of your turn.
New Keyword: Rush
Minions with the Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately after they hit the board, either by being played or summoned. They cannot attack heroes until the turn after they enter play, however.
Hagatha the Witch
The only new playable hero card being added to the game, Hagatha has unique emotes and a special passive Hero Power.

Card Backs
There are two new card backs. The first is available with the expansion pre-order and the second is a reward from Monster Hunt.
New Gameboard
As always, Hearthstone is getting a new game board with the expansion.
Bruh, have you ever made a shaman deck without 3 cost cards. it's not possible.
Not possible with the cards we know at the moment, yes. But we aren't the game designers, are we?
If the game designers want to make an even-cost Shaman playable, they will make it playable. Maybe not after this set, only after the next one, but they can do that, if they want to :)
Devolve is from Mean Street of Gadgetzan....so the fact that the bosses from mean streets are on there is not thinking ahead...its thinking presently lol
I'm glad you guys used the Monster Hunt cardback, much better than the pre-order imo.
It's probably silly to discuss art preferences, but I like discussing too much :)
You should evaluate animated cardbacks, not the static pictures. The pre-order cardback has great animation that absolutely corresponds to the expansion theme. A haunted forest, full of horrors and dark natural magic. Evil treants, malignant growth, vicious curses, etc. etc.
Monster Hunt cardback completely misses the set theme, it reminds me of a shooting range :) Besides, there are bullets! Guns are the latest Dwarven invention in Azeroth, and they aren't widespread, are they?
Its cool that odd/even cost decks are getting some support and its not just Baku and genn, I wish he had this kind of stuff for highlander decks instead of just 1 or 2 cards with that affect.
I would love to see then support Highlander decks like this. Reno is the only card that can be used by all the classes... that's stupid (granted his effect is pretty good), then only 3 classes can use the other 4 cards and whats worse is that all these cards are legendaries. Really hope that in a future expansion we get some Highlander support for all the classes.
Really all I want is cards like, "if your deck has no duplicates, draw a card" or "if your deck has no duplicates deal 2 damage" as like commons or rares,
(I realize that these are the same effects as the even/odd cost cards, I had these cards in mind before I saw this exp)
You know, it would be pretty cool if they printed a couple Odd/Even neutral minions that could discover other minions of the opposite mana cost. For example, what if there was a 1 mana minion with a battlecry that specifically discovered a choice of three 2 mana minions? Or a 2-drop that discovered a 3-drop?
This wouldn't be as crazy as Kabal Courier or Stonehill Defender because the card pool is at a set mana number, but it would help even out turns for those with deck restrictions.
Well, maybe we'll get more cards like Jeweled Scarab
Holy crap I completely forgot that was a card! XDDD LoE feels so long ago, good times^^.
Our usual visual format for the guide is finally up!
Some possible cards teased in the Battle.net app
That treant looks awesome. Most likely a Druid card.
that girl look like warlcok legendary
I would honestly be surprised if it isn't a Warlock card.
So Charge is now rush. Oh the irony...
No it isn't, Charge still gets the buff from Warsong Commander (RIP).
Yeah they should really change the name of the card to Rush, and text to "Give a friendly minion Rush."
