Hearthstone's Seventh Expansion is Kobolds & Catacombs!
Expansion Information
- The expansion releases December 7th 2017 in the Americas. December 8th for Europe.
- 135 new cards are being added to the game.
- All classes are getting a new weapon, and it's Legendary!
- A new mechanic is being added to the game called Recruit.
- A new type of single player content is being added called Dungeon Runs.
- The usual pre-order is available which contains 50 packs for the price of 40 ($50 USD). It comes with an exclusive card back.
Freebies
- All players will receive a Marin the Fox card before the expansion launches.
- A Golden version of Marin the Fox is available for BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket Holders.
- Everyone will get one free Legendary weapon.
Dungeon Runs
A new type of Single Player content is being added to the game!
- Tread carefully, because losing just one match will end your Dungeon Run!
- Tons of content! 48 unique encounters and a huge assortment of new cards were created just for this mode.
- It's Free! No purchase required; build a deck worthy of a hero with cards you find along your run.

New Keyword: Recruit
Cards with the Recruit keyword immediately summon minions from your deck and put them into play. Some cards recruit minions that match certain conditions; others recruit randomly chosen minions.
Spellstones
Spellstones are a new type of card which can be upgraded during play! Once you fulfill a listed condition, such as playing two Elemental minions, the card upgrades into a more powerful version.
Unidentified Items
Unidentified Items are cards which when put into your deck don't have a predetermined effect. When the card is put into your hand, the effect of the card will become known. Each item has its own pool of effects that it can randomly choose from.

Jade Shaman is back now that you can bring the weapon back twice and it will be really strong with the DK and dopple for burst and bounce backs to essentially get unlimited jades
i feel like they forcing new mechanics, legendary weapons meeh! hey kids remember the hype around quests? you know, the cool new mechanics from ungoro? its all feel more forced then ever especially now without new adventures and 3 expansions a year.
yeah, wouldn't feel bad if they release one exp with 1 legend per class at some point in the year.
I don't get this, how can you 'force' a mechanic? They're introducing new things... how is it bad? Isn't this what we want? A more varied and complex game?
What's forced about this? There's new things, yes, but you don't have to use them. This is why Wild exists.
Deck building skills dont really matter when people optimize the best decks in the first 2 days of the expansion
Nerfing of Oozes and Jones in 3... 2... 1...
That would be very stupid considering how some weapon happy pirate warriors and oil rogues will have even less trouble, not to mention Atiesh didn't receive special VIP treatment like that so why should some clunky weapons too XD. Considering there's a neutral card that returns a weapon you used this game back to your hand, they shouldn't touch the oozes or Jones, which would be unfair to begin with considering they'd be removing all counter-play and that's just counterproductive, like removing taunts due to aggro decks not being able to blow up your face properly.

Which common are you referring to? Because the only card I can think of that brings back weapons is, rummaging kobold, and he is an epic.
After looking at mythrill spellstone for warrior it makes me think that blizzard nerfed fiery war axe partly so that mythril spellstone would be less powerful, because with less people running war axe then it getting to be at max value is less likely.
You do not get to choose like Discover, it's random, but recruit cards can limit which sort of cards it pulls. For example Guild Recruiter which will pull a random costing 4 or less only.
This should probably be specified in the guide aboveActually it is, but the Recruit keyword works in a similar way to Y'Shaarj or Finja. It summons a random minion in your deck, although varying effects can restrict the summoned minion.I actually do not think Harrison Jones will see much play after this expansion, because I thought people would run that one guy who disables hero powers to counter death knights, but he saw no play. These weapons may look good but I do not think they will be playable enough for Harrison to be a good card.
hmm, i like all those legend weapons, this means I am going to use Blingtron 3000 again.

What is with people bitching and complaining this expansion will suck? I think its a pretty good one up till now, I dont dislike it at all.
After the card reveal stream my hope for this expansion being hope has been damaged....
