Boss Overview

The Crone is the third and final boss in The Opera wing of the One Night in Karazhan adventure.

Pro Tips and Strategy

You must keep Dorothee alive at all costs! If she dies, you lose.
Turn 8 for The Crone can be pretty nasty. Expect Twisting Nether. This means you lose.
Play Aggro. Aggro decks will beat The Crone quickly which gives her less chances to get to turn 8 and since you'l have plenty of minions on the field she won't be attacking Dorothee.
Ancestral Spirit from Shaman gives you an extra chance should you fail to protect Dorothee.
Loatheb can delay Twisting Nether by a turn if you need it.
Inner Fire is an interesting card for the fight since Dorothee has 10 health. Works well with Divine Spirit.

I tried to play around twisting nether with a mage deck: Ice Block, Animated Armor, Counterspell

She used Twisting Nether three times from turn 8 to turn 13..

I find Dreadsteed to be hilariously OP in this fight. He can act as a Board Clear on the left or Infinte Taunt on the right.

First try with cancer shaman. Seems like blizzard AI bugged again, cause The Crone was put Blessing of Kings on my Healing Totem 2 times. It really helps to race her before turn 8 aoe clear. It not works always and you need to be pretty lucky. Good luck with that stuff!

Interesting: so she topdecked twisting nether turn 8, and then I dropped loatheb and she didn't play the next card she drew.

That combined with her having double twisting nether the first 3 games I tried it within the first 15 cards tells me that she likely auto-draws twisting nether if she hasn't already.

Still managed to beat it though. Ancestral Spirit FTW!

So far she ALWAYS uses Twisting Nether on turn 8.

EDIT: Beat her after a few times with tempo mage deck, but i'll be honest i got crazy lucky by getting hogger through an unstable portal who put up endless 2/2 taunts for me all game.

Note - That time she didn't twisting nether on turn 8, so it seems the boss got unlucky with her cards... :P
