Cards like this just break the game. If this card stays on the board for a couple of turns you just straight up lose the game. That might not seem like a big deal but it means that control becomes even less viable than it is now because they have to run enough removal that they will always have something in hand to deal with these broken 2 drops.
WHAT? A 2/4 for 3 mana that also HEALS is the perfect answer for aggro, even more than a taunt. It trades with at LEAST 2 minions AND heals you if you have a trap card active.
Trades with 2 minions? Yeah, if they're both knife jugglers maybe, other than that there are very few plain 2 health minions out there even in aggro. And the problem is, it takes you 2 turns to trade with those minions, while they drop 2 minions every turn and hit you in the face in the meantime. Or you know, they just remove your 2/4 in a variety of efficient ways.
This card is pretty meaningless against aggro. Board control is the antidote to aggro, not healing, so a 2/4 minion isn't really going to help there. Maybe it'll be good against hunter but even then it might be too slow to be more effective than something else.
What this card does do is put us in serious danger of going back to the dark days of freeze mage.
Not quite sure why Blizzard is getting cold feet with adding new cards or buffing weaker cards in closed beta.
Their aim is to leave beta at some stage, and to do that the game has to be relatively sensible. Things like gorestrasza are not sensible, and buffing cards just because they don't see much play is also not how you reach a releasable state quickly.
She was being played in every single deck because she was so overpowered
No she was played in every deck because she's versatile and an easy two-for-one. It's not like Sylv is the only card that is a two-for-one. She's like a truesilver which can occasionally do better than that, but at 6 mana vs 4 that's just not good enough for a legendary.
Actually she was often a 3 for 1. Trades with one, kills a second one (the minion that you steal), and summons a new minion for you (the minion you stole). I do think the nerf was warranted.
If she is often a 3 for 1, you're doing it wrong. For her to 3 for 1 she has to be played onto a board where either there are 2 minions and neither of them has less than 5 damage, or more than 2 minions and you can't silence or remove her somehow and you she isn't next to any other minions you can sac your minions into without losing value. Sure, those things can happen, but to say they often happen is ridiculous. And when those things do happen, it's probably late game so you should either be able to deal with it easier or just ignore sylv and kill the opponent.
As for Sylvanas vs Truesilver: If you can't see that Weapons and minions aren't comparable, I'm not even going to bother explaining it any further lol.
ALL cards are comparable. The fact that you can't compare them is your problem.
Herp derp, she is only used in every deck, because she is so good, but she isn't OP!
Used in every deck (not every deck btw, just most) doesn't mean OP, it just means that she is good in a lot of deck styles (hint: this is what the word versatile means, which is why I used the word versatile).
If a card would be good in your deck and you have the card, you should put it in your deck. It just happens that Sylv is good in a lot of decks just like harvest golem is good in a lot of decks. Does that make harvest golem OP? Or does it make murloc warleader a terrible card because it is used in only a few decks?
Don't compare her to truesilver, they are incomparable. Truesilver can only kill minions with four HP or lower, Truesilver doesn't punish playing additional minions, truesilver only gets 2 hits no matter what, ooze punishes Truesilver more than sIlence punishes sylvanas, and weapons trade HP for effeciency. Sylvanas trades nothing for her efficiency
Just plain incorrect. There are a lot more ways to remove a minion without losing out to their deathrattle than there are ways to get rid of a weapon. A weapon is also an immediate effect, ie. you play it and get to decide what to do with it straight away, most of the time with sylvanas the other guy gets to choose what to do about it before you use her. Because of these reasons it's rare that sylvanas kills more than 2 four HP minions anyway.
When sylvanas gets a 3 or 4 for 1 it's almost always because the person on the receiving end played badly or was already in a bad place and couldn't play around her.
Also, being a legendary isn't supposed to make minions better. Legendaries are supposed to be especially high risk, flashy, or situational. There are many weak/mediocre/strong legendaries and there are many weak/mediocre/strong commons, epics and rares.
According to who? Did blizzard say that? Because if so that's not how it is in the game. Sylvanas is a great card sure, but for a legendary she is only average. If you look at say nat pagle, he will often pan out to be almost identical to a novice engineer, but he has the potential to be more than that, just as with sylvanas and her potential to be amazing or gruul or geddon or thalnos. Most legendaries are the same as a good common card, which will sometimes be better. There are only a few legendaries that can situationally be worse (milhouse, greenskin, vancleef, the beast) and there are several that are just always better (tirion, ysera, onyxia, jaraxxus, cairne, cenarius). Your idea of what legendaries are "supposed to be" doesn't mesh with reality.

Thus proving my point. Control suffers greatly if you have to run those cards.
Yeah, let's out-minion zoo. Against a class that has enough early game removal to flick away any minions you dare drop.
Just run a hunter deck that has only spells (including call pet) and weapons, and this card with 2 tundra rhinos. Easy game every time. Like this:

"Summon" means to put a minion on the battlefield by any means.
"Play" means to put a minion on the battlefield from your hand using mana in the usual way.
"Battlecry" does something when you play it from your hand.
Voidcaller does not say play it says "Deathrattle: Put a random Demon from your hand into the battlefield."

Considering it's worse than Cairne and even he isn't seeing much play, it seems highly unlikely this will find a place in decks.
Definitely looking forward to HS expansion news, game needs many more cards!
Is this the slowest card in the game (other than ice block)?
