I run this deck as a clear the board at turn 4 deck. Then I start to gain control going into the end of the game where this deck excels.
For my opening cards I love a spellbreaker, blademaster, aucheni, (and with the previous 2: circle of healing), abomination, or a sw:p
I am relatively new to hearthstone and extremely new to the forum. Didn't check any forum rules or search at all to see if this deck existed, I just thought I would share my shadowdeck that I have had some success with since it seems to be a harder deck to build.
I haven't acheived any particular rank with the deck. In fact I imagine at high rank it might not hold up, but i have no idea. I was simply stating I have been winning with the deck. (7/10 wins over the past 10 games.)
You could drop Mindcontrol for another Holy Fire. Both are situational cards, but the extra damage and heal usually comes in handy for shadow priests. Switching Ragnaros for Malygos might be another good idea to have one more card affecting your blasts, making them even better finishers.

as shadow you have to turtle till round 9, then play malygos, in round 10 you have to play faceless on malygos, after that nuke him from 30 to 0 with your two mind blast
I tried 3 or 4 games with the holy fire and the deck just didn't womp in the end game as much.
I guess I'm not so much trying to burn him for massive spell damage as I am just chunk him whenever I can (I will mindblast on turn 2 if im full health because in my opinion its never too early for priest to open with damage.) Early damage also gives me a better chance of being able to Alexstraza for defensive health instead of burning. I dont like Alex for burning because you can't do enough in one turn (she's 9 cost).
With mind control in the deck, I was able to clear the board turns 4-6 while hoarding high cost cards. Catching a holy fire on that streak didn't help me much in the turns 7-10+. Once I get to turns 7-10 I need my big minions out and playing a holy fire won't let you do that. I also found that playing big minions through turns 7-10+ helped me draw out one of their own good cards, to which I would mind control. I even save my coin for turns 7-9 if possible. If possible make sure to thank them as u coin out MC and they rage quit.
In my opinion, one holy fire works (Ill take the chance at one card doing 10 dmg/10 health), but velen gets picked off too easily to rely on this approach. Plus, I believe that the +5 health that one time is greatly beneficial, but possibly that twice is a little too much late game stalling for this deck.
After playing this deck for about 50 or so games, the gameplan holds up. Susceptible to rush decks if you don't catch the abom, however, I think I will add another abom and toss an argus. I have found one argus useful per game, but hardly ever two. I had difficulty using it effectively in the mid game.
Hey guys, have been playing this deck for a bit longer than a week and have made some minor tweeks that really help catch some more wins by early game clearing in addition to the already mid game stall plan.
If I were you, I would buy forty decks and disenchant all the dupe cards, then create Ragnaros. He's in a league of his own past legendary. The others you could do without. I might replace Velen with another holy fire and Alex with a giant, or both possibly with larger minions of your choosing. Alternatively, If you have two faceless manipulators you could go that way for one of the replacements of Alex or Velen, but like I said earlier, I think Rag is a must.
Theres arguments to be made for adding a mass dispel or another pw:s, especially if you need your minions around longer with no boosted magic damage.
Just top of the head ideas^ I would mess around and try these and maybe make your own alteration after you see what feels weak/unnecessary.
Winrate means nothing if you don't post rank. 80% winrate below rank 10 doesn't really say much about the deck. This deck seems to lack consistency and I have a hard time believing you could climb to the upper ranks like 5 and above with this and with a 80% winrate.
I really like the aucheni because it offers me a chance to clear < 3 health minions with hero ability while staying on the board a turn or two. For 4 cost, it is also a great clear combined with circle of healing, which harmonizes with having injured blademaster in there.

What exactly do you call "some success"? What rank did you gain with the deck?
I like the idea of this deck, but it doesn't seem entirely consistent. How well does it actually work?

I like the idea of switching holy fire in for mindcontrol, i will try it tonight.
I would throw malygnos in there to try, just dont have the card
lol this would be the funniest way to win
This would be the kind of deck I'd try out, just fooling around. I think it would be fun!

The major edits were to add a holy nova and wild pyromancer for some extra clear.
Currently winning about 80% of my games
I want to make a Shadow Priest deck work so badly.
Once I get enough dust, even though I don't have any viable decks for constructed, this will be the first thing I try out.
Can anyone suggest what I could replace the legendaries with? I am currently only r14.
I kinda hate how legendary dependent all the good decks are, because of the RNG involved in most legendaries.

Not viable at rank 5 or above.
I just don't like the Auchenai Soulpriest play for some reason. I'm thinking something along the lines of this for control and late game punch.

Rank 15 right now and I pretty much play this deck exclusively. I'll let you know when I hit the wall with it.
