Currently HearthPwn generate a deck's "patch" automatically based on the date a deck is created. It would be nice to allow users to manually edit a deck's "patch". Players like me sometimes need to upload decks valid for previous patches.
This isn't something we're planning on supporting but do appreciate the feedback. I do wonder though, exactly why do you want to add in older decks and require that they're available under a certain patch? In the almost 4 years we've been around, this is the first request of this kind so it doesn't seem like one of those things anyone truly needs.
Agreed that it's not the most urgent or critical of features, but it could be useful to some people in their searches.
Picture this scenario: new-ish player, few cards in general and especially so from newest expansion. Very little dust to craft. But they managed to complete some adventure, say Karazhan, and have the cards from that.
They would have little interest in current patch decks which feature many cards they don't own. But, for starters, they could try some older deck made in that adventure's patch. Maybe some replacements would still be needed but probably less than for new decks.
And if someone still has ideas to improve those older patch decks (either by editing existing ones or by making "new" ones), this feature could make it simpler to find them.
OK, perhaps it's a bit convoluted scenario, but rest assured that such people do exist... I'm one of them! ;)
There are some tricks you can use to help find decks with certain cards you would like to check out.
A good example for the Karazhan scenario would be to look for decks that contain at least a certain number of Kara cards. You can use our "One Night in Karazhan Card Set" Filter for this and set it to a minimum of 1 and max of 30, though you may want to up it to 3 or so if you really want to prioritize the usage of those cards.
That's just a quick and dirty way to eliminate certain card sets yet can give people great power. Works best if you then use the contains field to find decks with certain cards you do own, IMO ;)
You're right, that does work, and TBH I've been using the same tricks so far.
There's still the matter of convenience, though. Setting a patch field value is just one operation, like 2 mouse-clicks. While setting up multiple filters requires several operations, many more clicks, plus some typing and scrolling.
In other words, customising filters may be quick, but selecting patch would be quicker, IMHO. Or maybe I'm just lazy, dunno, lol.

Hope that helps, and sorry for late answer.

And hey, no MSG or BRM cards? Set those filters to 0!
