Yung Woo(HS Developer) said that they are looking for ways to make wild cards more accesible so it would be wise to save up on dust before that definately! Meanwhile you can maybe craft some rares commons etc to play 2 3 wild decks without heavily investing :) !
I would. Standard is bullshit. At least in Wild you have more options than Dragon Priest and Jade Druid and Dragon Priest and Jade Druid and Jade Druid and Dragon Priest and Jade Druid and Dragon Priest.
Most of these are commons and rares so its not that hard to get invested into the main cards. There's only like 5 total epics/legendary that you need to be competitive with all classes.
I´ve switched to Wild in January, hit Rank 5 every season and have no regrets.
I´d suggest you look some wild decklists and craft only a couple of coomons and rares at first, mainlly the non-class cards, such as Belcher, Deathlord and Shredder. Control has a video where he lists all the cards on every Tier-1 deck (before nerf, but thats OK):
Believe it or not wild is much more casual then standard and easier to ladder in. Also your main investments will be buying naxx and then commons and rares, in fact the only non standard legendary card I use in wild is old murk eye besides that the main differences with my wild decks are things like ships cannon antique healbot and deathrattle stuff from GvG and Naxx.

Play a couple of games on wild, maybe try a whole season. You can play your standard decks with a few tweeks, especially before the expansion hits.
