Nah, NZoth is fine. It's Reno Jackson that limits design space because he is the ultimate mid range deck killer. So tired of that damned card and its reset effect. Busted beyond belief. Always has been. Now that it gets combined with kazakus and various other cards to heal, clear boards, etc, it's hopeless out there for any classic mid range style deck. Aggro doesn't suffer because of Reno, mid range decks do. This is a fact. I'm glad Reno is OUT of standard....at least the giant tumor has been removed from there. But now in wild, every ass monkey out there will play stupid renolock and mage Reno decks. Fucking sucks. Ugh.
N'zoth will probably keep his power creep in wild for a long long time. But, N'zoth isn't the real issue here. The problem was that in GvG + Naxx they released a lot of too strong neutral cards (shredder, beltcher, mad scientist, haunted creeper, nerubian egg), and all of them was played in different types of decks. They realized the mistake and nowadays the power of neutral cards (at least non-legendary ones) is limited.
About N'zoth itself. It can't be too OP in wild, as he is easily counter with combo decks, which are naturally more viable in wild (freeze mage, mill rogue for example).
Moreover, the wild meta isn't so n'zoth focused. It is also dominated by pirate warriors.
Everyone thinks control needs to be N'zoth or Jade, but i play a successful midrange/control priest WITHOUT N'zoth in Wild. A bit weaker, since the meta is full of Pirate Warriors, but devastating against either N'zoth and Jade and most other control i play. Heck, even against Renolock it's good, so no, you definitively don't need N'zoth. Personally i think he's often simply too slow.

reno ought to cost 8 mana. Period.
I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D
