Think Blizzard seriously underrated piratesReno Jackson or they just didn't care that both Wild and Standard would be wrecked by them.
Fixed for you. Kabal decks together make for te 20% of played decks. Pirates are barely above 15%, and that's counting Aggro Shaman as a Pirate deck (which is not ofc).
Also, the fact that decks are played is just a factor of how effective they are. In wild I don't see the meta being wrecked by Pirates as if they were cutting into butter. They are played and they are effective, but then again, just look at Reno.
in wild , pirates are 32% of the meta at legend, you cant argue that isnt borken.
What I wanted to point out is that it's Aggro Warrior being broken, NOT Pirates on their own. This is important, because Pirates is shared by other classes too. And conceiving them as broken on the whole is wrong. Their interaction with Warrior is broken. ie. look at how Rogue uses Pirates. Shares some cards with Warrior, namely Small-Time Buccaneer, yet I dare you call Rogue broken.
In other words, Pirate Warrior ravaging the meta => Pirates are broken, is wrong reasoning. Pirate Warrior ravaging the meta => (Pirate) Warrior being broken, is the correct one.

i actually typed in "pirate warrior" there, my spell check is crap.
pirates are good to boost decks like rogue i agree, but pirate warrior is broken and needs a nerf. this, one cannot argue
if you looked at the stats provided in the description you would have seen that pirate warrior is 32 percent of the meta at legend.
as for pirates overall % the number is even higher than 32 percent, showing just how impactful they have been on the game.( namely; buccaneer and patches)
What rank are you playing it, and what is your stats?
Playing egg druid and hit the (my) wall at rank 9. Looking for a deck to take further. Am getting my ass kicked by warlocks (control and reno). Can Pirate warrior do bette against warlock than egg druid?
You could at least write the name of the deck's creator, a list of Control Warrior you posted is mine, and no credits are given.
And I've seen other examples like that. so pay credits to us creators which spent hours to check. build and test a competitive decklist for the community.
You must be very talented indeed, to have come up with a deck that not one of the the other millions of people who play hearthstone have ever queued with. Hats off to you sir.
This kind of macro stats should be banned from the forum. Creation of tier lists polarize the meta into an handful of decks, increasing staleness. Especially, the equation of "decks most played = decks most powerful" is so wrong on so many levels that simply hurts the game as a whole. Standard ladder in particular suffers a lot from this, so please leave this bullshit out at least from wild.
That said, the fact that the meta on Wild was resembling so much the meta from Standard was something i already pinpointed in another recent thread in this section, and i think is really negative for the format. I hope this will change drastically in a couple of months with the rotation and maybe with some nerfs to the pirates.
Yes, let's ban information on what is being played on a forum about a strategy card game.
It was a serious problem from week 1, people are just too slow to realize the implications of releasing an aggro deck that increases the fundamental turn of the game to turn 5 or even turn 2 in the case of Ship's Cannon.
On the one hand, I think it's possible that all control decks in the game will evolve into Reno Jackson control decks as the card pool continues to expand, especially if you consider Kazakus as well, but on the other hand the popularity of Reno Jackson is push back vs the abundance of Pirate Warrior as well.
It was a problem in standard but to see it being dominant in wild which has so many anti aggro tools is astonishing
It was dominant in Wild from week 1, look at the number of people who took Pirate Warrior to Rank 1 Legend in Wild as soon as it was released. The problem is no one listens to Wild players, pays any attention to the health of the format. bothers to host tournaments for it or streams it. I had a long running thread on the front page "Pirates are ruining the game" and everyone just brushed it off and told us to adjust while Ship's Cannon + Coin wrecked everything.

The strategy should be inherent to the puzzle of the game itself, not about a website that suggests you what to play with a bunch of macrodata. This kind of reports only increase staleness of the meta and are bad for the game.
Which is why we shouldn't allow people to discuss strategies in chess? Or point out the stats on good party compositions for WoW? While I agree that figuring out the strategy of the game is enjoyable, if someone is looking for information, denying them access to it does not make it more fun. And since this sort of data can't be discovered on the micro scale (because of the MoE), presenting it from a macro scale is incredibly useful.
And as with all data, the interpretation is completely up to the player. Will I tech in an Ooze when I'm playing Wild? Perhaps. Will I start playing Pirate Warrior? Absolutely not.
EDIT: bah, this is getting off topic. I'm going to stop with this discussion now.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
You should reconsider how you classify decks OP. You labeled "Murloc Paladin" as a single archetype yet 2 of the featured decks are Anyfin decks and the last one is a Murloc Aggro one. Both archetypes are very different and can"t be grouped under the same name.

Can you elaborate on insane?

Pirates are the reason I leave Standard to play Wild, and I found this...
Its not they are broken but the annoying playstyle... cant handle it.
PIRATES EVEYWHERE !! srsly !! on every rang !! pirates fkn everywhere! great idea blizzard, thank you !!
