Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! If you’re looking for something exciting, then you’ve come to the right place! On June 23rd beginning at 3PDT, we are pleased to present the First Hearthstone Buy-In Tournament! Featuring a variety of legendary teams and solo players, the tournament is sure to have a great deal of excitement as 16 players duke it out for a buy in prize pool each week! Featuring well-known teams DKMR,TempoStorm,MYM, GG, ManaGrind, vVv and Ferus, along with some top legendary ladder players, the event is sure to showcase some of the biggest decks and plays for Hearthstone. Two players of each team will be invited to face off in the tournament for the chance to take home prizes in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place!

Prize Pool: Here at HearthWars, we’re looking at doing something different from the standard prize pool bit! We’re tired of the same old tournament hosted prize pool, in which players simply compete for a tournament sponsored prize pool. In order to make things a little more competitive and make it a bit more personal for each player, there will be a buy in amount for each contestant! This week, we’ll be starting off with a $10 buy-in. After our first week, we want to continue increasing the buy-in, thus making it more competitive and exciting for players and teams.

Structure: The play will consist of a round robin matchup, each game being played best of three. From that point, the top 4 players will move on to a single-elimination Bo5 semi-final and final! Best of all, games from each round will be live-streamed and casted by Reynad and another co-host! All production and streaming will be done in-house and is focused to bring you the best show possible!

Decklists: Decks are submitted a day in advance to the administrators of the tournament. From there, players have a few options for what to do in a particular match. In the Best of 3, players may use any deck, but can not use it again that match once it’s lost. The winner will be keeping the same deck until it is defeated in that match. For the Best of 5 players are allowed to select 4 of their 5 decks to have as a pool for use. Like the Best of 3, you can’t use the same deck if it’s defeated and you must use the same deck if it is victorious!

Our goal by hosting this tournament isn't to make money. In fact, the entire staff is doing this on a volunteer basis, putting in endless hours to make sure that we can put on the best show possible.
