I've noticed that of the cards that have been released, most are susceptible to Shadow Words and Potion of Madness. The amount of 2/6 taunts is crazy, and Pain counters this easy. Now, in conjunction with the Priest quest Awaken the Makers, N'Zoth will have obvious synergy. I don't think enough people are realizing just how potent Priest will be, especially with the broken MsG 3 drop. How are we going to counter our adapted dinos being Deathed, and our taunts from being Pained and/or stolen via Potion? How are we going to compete with a 40 health hero? How are we going to compete with a turn 10 resurgence of deathrattle minions, most of which provide cards for Priest?
Better vs aggro but not vs control. Entomb gone is a huge hit. Discard lock with infinite imp. Hunter will zerg you 40 health is nothign. And jade. Lolz.
Well other classes except paladin got crazy cards aswell we will wait and see, dr priest seems potent, will play it without the quest though, I don't think the priest quest is that good, maybe against midrange but against control hp doesn't matter much, and against aggro you are probably dead before you complete it..
The problem with quests is the -1 card and -1 mana early.
Combo Dragon Reno Priest can put a dent in them too. Red mana wyrm coined out on turn 4. Shadow word tentacles on turn 5. Divine spirit and inner fire on turn 6. Plenty of other combo targets in the deck too.
Agreed, Priest will definitely have fun in wild with the new Un'Goro cards. I think that Spiritsinger Umbra is pretty good, as well. By pretty good, I mean borderline meta-defining.
What does she get you though? Brann got you another dragon from historian, or kazakus potion. Umbra gets you....2 1/2 elementals? +1/+1? 3 murlocs? Not exactly game changers.
Please understand I made this post before the other quests were really shown on the stream. It's not just the quest, it's the conjunction of power. The quest is like a class-specific Reno, except that doesn't have many restrictions in an established deck archetype, N'Zoth Priest.

Consider this: you have Umbra down, and you play, I don't know, Highmane or Chillmaw. That makes Highmane a 6 mana 6/5 with 4 2/2s. It makes Chillmaw practically a neutral Abyssal Enforcer with Taunt, much like the new dragon. In Wild, like the others were saying, Dreadsteed or Sylvanas. You aren't thinking with an open mind. Imagine Umbra into N'Zoth. Hell, imagine Umbra into tentacle of N'Zoth into mortal coil. That's a three mana deal two damage to all minions and draw a card, an alternative to using up a warlock's health in hellfire.

This was originally a "Priest Deathrattle deck will be T1" thread. Any awesome wombo combos for priest?
Well, if you're looking for wombo combos, Priest has access to Umbra as well as the guy that makes a 1/1 copy (which is a better Shadowcaster for Deathrattles). I don't think any of the wombo combos are particularly good, but there are some available and amusingly enough Umbra actually triggers the Deathrattle on something that you've summoned a copy of. Umbra > Crystalline Oracle > Mirage Caller for 8 mana isn't completely awful in a slow matchup and nets you 3 cards; I'd consider that pretty good in slow matchups. Mirage Caller on something like Cairne is just nuts. Mirage Caller on Crystalline Oracle is actually pretty good.
My money is still on some kind of weird Elemental/Deathrattle list that leverages the fact the Quest really isn't making you do anything N'Zoth Priest, an already decent deck, didn't want to do in the first place. If you could run a better Reno at the expense of one card slot in a deck that already doesn't really care about Turn 1, I imagine most people would do so. That's the power of the Priest Quest in a nutshell.
Now I'm not sure what the best approach is. Elemental? All-in on Deathrattle shenanigans? N'Zoth vs no N'Zoth? But the list itself is super promising with the tools we got this expansion and I think it's flexible enough to fight for tempo against faster decks while extracting absurd amounts of value from slower decks.

I don't think a lot of decks care about the late game heal. Warrior burns you for 8 until eternity, Jades become impossible to deal with, Hunter beats you down with Highmanes (no Entomb), Paladin finish their quest on turn 4-5 and threatens to OTK you before you get to the 6 mana Dragonfire Potion (if later they chose Divine Shield or health buff), Discolock bury you in 3/2s and Rogue...well they are Priests natural enemy so they'll figure something out.
I was psyched for Priest at first but now I actually think that Priest will be the worst class post-Un'Goro (a long with Mage). Paladin will be a one trick pony and probably suck too but the combo at least has the possibility of being good.

Easy. Jade golems.
One word: SMOrc
IMO with enough deck stealing effects you can make a jade priest if you're vs jade druid. But all in all I have my plans
How are we going to compete with a 40 health hero? i have the answer, and is jade golems 15/15 16/16 .....40 of health is a joke for jade golems
I think the true counter to Jade Druid will be control C'Thun rogue, but we'll wait and see.

With never ending murlocs, imps, or raptors.

I think it will be unbeatable in wild.

Class Mechanics Distribution List
Are you trolling? Priest is completely unplayable this expansion
Everyone else got a quest that's basically a win condition by itself. The priest quest is a "die slower to everyone else's quest" condition
Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest

I guess I can compete with N'Zoth Priest in Wild....
