What do you all do when you get bored with hearthstone? I've played several different decks to legend and finished both of the adventures on heroic. It seems like there's not a lot else to do. I personally don't enjoy arena too much and most fun decks I build get crushed on ladder and casual. Tavern brawl has certainly helped, but this week's is really bad.
Work on making your own legendworthy deck. Seems like the next logical step, certainly a lot harder than playing a netdeck to legend (not saying that's easy).
I agree, there's no FUN deck to ladder...just retard face crap...the only thing left to do is try what's been left behind, making tweaks to old decks and trying to build new synergies. You'll probably loose quite often, but I find it much more of a challenge than facetard laddering.
I've been playing Heroes of the Storm (check out heroesnexus.com for more information) instead of playing Hearthstone. I started playing HotS so that I could get the special Hearthstone card back, and I grew to like the game. I've been playing that almost daily in place of Hearthstone, and I've been letting my Hearthstone daily quests lapse.
Don't get me wrong: I still love the game, and I check in at Heathpwn daily, but as with anything I binge upon: I need so time away from it before binging upon it again.

Couldn't agree more. Well. not on the HotS side but on generally just playing something else. Hearthstone is best to enjoy in small doses. I always only played a few games, took a break, played a few more of hearthstone because honestly, it can be a quite annoying game.
I only bing game if I wanted something. The last few days when pushing to legend, if I wanted to complete a deck or even just if I have 3 big quests open. But I greatly reduced my day to day gaming time in HS and every once in a while I just stop playing and it feels much more enjoyable if you play HS if you feel like playing HS and not treating it as a "main game" in one situation. Surely some people are much more competitive about on regular basis but I only get that once in a while.

HS seems to be designed with 'small doses' in mind. Other than getting to legend, there's just no reason to feel forced to grind. While it hurts those that want a game to stuff 5 hours at a time in, it helps those who don't want to feel like they are behind because they can't fit 5 hours into it. I've quit games due to playing for about 30 minutes, needing to leave after, then realizing that I'm wasting half of my stamina or giving up a 'double exp time' or simply realizing it'll be months before I could level again at my rate.
Here, I can jump in, play a few games of Brawl, test a deck and let it fail or do well, then move on. Even the 'dailies' I can leave for 3 days before needing to do at least one of them.
Thus I guess the game 'works' for me.
(that and I'm on a system with an intel card so even SC2 can't be played on it)
This is not a binge game and was never really made to be one. This is the game you slip in in between or when you can't play your binge game, or, like me, you have no time for binging anymore.
If you're bored with it, I suggest doing something else with your free time, not forcing yourself to like the game, or trying to make new decks r any of that ... it'll be a chore. Leave it for a week, or three, if needed. Until you actually get the urge to play some.
There is this ultimate challenge. Take down Kolento on the EU ladder or when he plays his NA account, this will unlock for you the final achievement 'Slayer of the God' as a reward for your triumph against the true god of Hearthstone. Firebat and his Archon team will be easier challenges though.
If you get bored with Hearthstone, try playing something completely different. Another genre, perhaps. Something that involves more than just two people and is more action-ey than Hearthstone, like an FPS or a MOBA. I find it helps to break up the monotony of gaming if you can swap between two separate choices.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Batman!!
If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)
