Well at this point this interview is already "internet old", over a week, so it's probably not news worthy anymore but thank you for posting it. I didn't know about it and it was certainly one of the better interviews. Worth the read even if it's classic blizzard lingua.
"You’ll notice that Face Hunter has only gotten one card basically in the last year or two." Well that is just plain bullshit. Haunted creeper, mad scientist, gazlooka, quickshot and sometimes clockwork gnome.
"YW: You know, we've been getting a lot of feedback on that. Feedback is really important to us, so we've been discussing that a lot. We don’t have anything to announce, but we do intend to look into that."
this comment really annoyed me.. it's SO hard changing the arena reward to be a random pack type?
I am glad I found this interview was interesting, too bad this wasn't posted as news when it was relevant.
Pirates vs Ninjas is what reddit says, and everyone knows Reddit is always right.
I agree with their statement about wanting to push new archetypes for classes that already have solid decks(like combo druid or control warrior)to bring freshness to the class. Sad to see that their answer for shaman was basically "cross your finger and expect that the next set of cards make bad card less bad,if not go play mech shaman".
Really cool information, thanks for sharing. Was a nice read on what are somethings to look forward too. Guess we will have to wait till E3 for more confirmation. :P
"but I did notice a Hunter who Quick Shot-ed his own face last night who I think was probably on phone. I mean he had it coming obviously..."
"Mike Donais: That was a karma thing. We have that built into the game."
10/10
"Have you thought about creating a more friendly mode where there’s nothing to be won or lost, and people will be more inclined to try off-the-wall decks?
MD: Yeah, that’s a really good point. It’s something we have talked about. Like you said, if there were no rewards for playing in one of the formats, then people would be playing it purely for fun and to try stuff out instead of to complete their daily quests. We’ll keep talking about \that and see if we can find a good place to encourage experimentation.

VERY YAY here too and seriously this time. I don' think Ranked in itself is that bad a system (though personally I'd like the idea of having less stars lost) but we really do need a place to just be silly in.
Also noting that they don't seem to have a problem with Dr. Boom. I think that's suitable. Yes he's everywhere, but so was Harvest golem (wht plenty of "NERF HIMMMM" complaints) until more 3 drops showed up. Honestly, I still think Dr. Boom's 'issue' is that he's the only worthwhile 7 drop right now.
On shamans: There's a point there. THere's a lot of overload cards, but only 1 card that abuses overload. Perhaps a few more cards that do evil things when you overload or have the locks are what shaman needs. Something Unfair just for them.
Overall, an interesting interview (and yes, after you translate the buisness speak. Asking a company to not speak in PRese is like asking the Japanese to stop making their Anime in Japanese). Only issue I have is that I wish the matter of heroic was taken up. It seems that that mode was easier to get around and that's supposed to be the 'hard core OMG NEWBIES RUN!" mode.
Mike Donais used to be a big time player in the MTG scene here in the Detroit Windsor area with his brother Jeff. Both really good guys. They ran a lot of Pro Tour Qualifiers back in the early days of the game. Seeing his face just made me a little nostalgic for the days when I used to try to jump on the MTG gravy train.

I read an interview of Yong Woo and Mike Donais about a lot of things and thought maybe it deserves a news here in hearthpwn.
They talk about Boom, Grim Patron, New players, why shaman still sucks, why they can't add good cards to druids...
There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !
Thank you sir! Have a nice day.

Yeah it's old, but i found it covers a lot of subjects and questions we are going thru... doesn't give much answers anyway ^^

Naxx is around a year old. So it's two cards.

On shama
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
