Hi everyone, I'm sick of the Jade Druid/Pirate meta too, so I've been running Ooze/Harrison, Golakka Crawler, and Geist in my Kazakus Warlock deck. What frustrates me the most is seeing Druid outdraw me as Warlock in nearly every game, and although Geist has definitely won me some games, it's often buried about 20 cards deep, which is too late. The best counter I have is useless because you simply can't outdraw Druids now.
This is just a big ramble about one of my favourite classes in the game, and should probably be ignored because it makes no sense.
Deathknight Anduin is bullshit. Priest is bullshit.
Now let me just put this out, Priest is my favourite class in the game. I adore the control matchups where I have to use my brain. I loved being the underdog class, because when I did beat a Face Hunter or something meta I could say "Yeah, I beat him with Priest I am awesome".
But then Gadgetzan came and pumped the class full of steroids. Oh shit, everyone is playing Dragons. I just played Reno Priest because why not? Then Un'Goro came out. I ended up using the free dust from golden Ragnaros and Sylvanas to craft a Golden N'Zoth and Quest. It's fun. It's not OP.
Then Frozen Throne came out. Crafted the Golden Anduin and Benedictus (No regrets on Benedictus, awesome, FUN card). So I go make a wild deck, since wild is what I prefer to play now. Make a Quest Priest, turn it into a Really Bad Reno Quest Priest. Hop on the ladder thinking "Ohh this is going to go shit, I'm playing Priest". Turns out the Deathknight is actually awesome and I can summon massive boards of bullshit and heal to full health twice and everything is awesome. It's pretty fun seeing a bunch of golden Deathrattles unleashed thanks to N'Zoth.
Now everyone is whining about Priest. "Ohhh N'Zoth Priest is bullshit, DK Anduin is broken". Makes me feel like shit. Because one of the reasons I played Priest was because it was awful (I started playing Karazhan, while Priest was the biggest joke of them all) just got flipped. Now Priest is full of steroids, and everyone complains about it. It's not Druid OP, but it seems to be one of the three classes everyone hates. Now I feel sad because my favourite underdog class just got scooped to tier 1. I feel like kinda a hipster, "Oh I don't play mindless decks like Face Hunter or Pirate Warrior, I play Priest, a class that takes skill, a class that isn't broken". I'm not an underdog who needs to use their brain to win anymore, I'm just a Face Hunter whose games last a while. Victories don't feel good anymore, just empty.
Basically, there always has to be a bad class. For the longest time, that class was Priest. And I wish it could be Priest again. Because the best feeling in the game is overcoming all odds and using your brain to win. But playing Priest doesn't feel like overcoming all odds anymore because there's nothing to overcome, it's being compared to shit like Druid and Exodia Mage.
Well that was my stupid ramble that doesn't make any sense and should promptly be ignored. I'd also ask a question for you guys? What is the hardest class to play? What's the hardest deck to play? What can I play to re-ignite that spark that you get from overcoming all odds? What can I do to not feel like a Pirate Warrior or meta-slave anymore?

Your best bet then is to look at holes in the meta and try and make the classes not seeing much play viable. Just one example, but I've not played against a single Shaman using any of the new Freeze cards, or even the overstatted taunt. They just want straight to Token/Evolve because it was already good. Try and make a Rogue deck that isn't just Miracle, try and get a control Hunter to work. That's what I enjoy, but you'll have to compromise on ladder to realise you'll often be at a disadvantage against highly refined netdecks.

My dude. I must thank you. I'll just invest in some Freeze Shaman cards, and I'll be doing this! Who needs Evolve anyway when you're Freeze Mage 2.0! LET'S DO THIS!

You could do like me, (I totally agree with your mindset btw), and play a secret/control hunter. Nothing more satisfying than watching the retarded druid and priest netdeckers fail gloriously, when they play right into my putricide. Jesus some of these guys are horrible players. Hearthstone has turned into "netdeck this op deck and win for free, without thinking or skill involved".
Trying hunter in casual for the sole reason of having fun with Zombeasts, after numerous of matches where the DK is among the last 7 cards i finally get to play him turn 7 vs a priest with no board ( im at 28 health and things were looking fresh ), the MF priest counters with MY DK ( which he got from Draconic Operative). I just concede and go to bed....FU priest craft your own DK if you wanna make Zombeasts!!!

Getting a bit sick of "just learn to play against it" being the default excuse whenever a new deck takes over the meta. Druid is sitting at Tier S, a formerly joke tier Tempostorm only created to have a bit of fun with Thrall, Deathseer. They made the tier real when they saw how 5 different Druid decks took over the current meta. They released a paragraph or two of reasoning, explaining how this entire meta is being shaped into either playing, or playing against, Druid, and yet half the threads on here are full of arrogant twats just going "hur hur play exodia mage or sumfing". Fuck. Off. Congrats that your tier 2 deck manages to beat 1 specific deck and nothing else.
Between this and the whole "just tech against certain cards" bullshit, we're approaching the point where if you don't automatically run 10 different tech cards, in a completely 105% competitive meta deck, with every legendary you can fit, a bunch of self righteous tossers will gloat and wave their arms about how you just bring it on yourself.
I mean, I'm still enjoying HS, and have poured tons of money into it, so I'm no F2P newb (maybe a newb still), but goddamnnnn.

One day i will find you all and punsh you in the fucking dickhead face. Do you feel better crushing players with your tier s decks in unranked you fucking bastards? Just get the fuck out and play rankend you fucking shitheads jesus fucking christ or go and play standard. If you need to compensate your little penis i get it. I will rope every fucking pirate warrior in unranked. FUCK YOU CANCER FAGGS!
Well done! druid is now The least skilled class, least interesting class, most broken class and most Stupid class to play against.
Like it stole beasts from hunter, taunts from warriors and killed control decks .....HOW IS THAT OK? WHY CANT WE HAVE SOME QUESTS SUPPORT OR SOME INTERESTING NATURE TREE LIKE CARDS..NOT FUCKING MEN.
How is druid not ok:
Best 10 cost card? Check
Best anti aggro cards? check
best taunts? Check
Ramp? check
heals? check?
kills control decks? check
what does blizzard do??? "We are checking to see if the meta settles".....GOOD JOB...WORTH EVERY PENNY THE COMPANY PAYS THEM....LIKE REALLY? ONE CARD OR TWO CARD CHANGE COULD MAKE THE GAME AT LEAST PLAYABLE REGARDLESS OF THE RNG......LIKE DO THEY HAVE TO SUPPORT A BROKEN CLASS....SHAMAN GOT MORE OF A BACK HANDER THAN DRUID.

Haha, you and I think a like it seems. I'm doing some control hunter too.. Wanna share tips?
Such an impressive thread... To add to it, 8/17 why the meta sucks... Just like when warrior was king, now that jade is king, ive started running into some truly gross greedy jades... jade decks that would never ever work in a real game, but somehow Im the one, the game picks to give these goobers a free win...
Like seriously how do you have 12 minions that cost 7+ and not manage to draw at least 1 of them... Meanwhile I put in a 5 mana minion and there is 100% chance it will be in my opening hand every time...
The pros have complained about the matchmaker since the very beginning, matchmaker and handsize/counters... So HS removes silence and BFG and created Jade... Clearly HS has no intention to fix it, since it has been the soul complaint since the beginning. If they ever did fix it, they would flood their own games with hard counter bots, bet...
And that is why... eSports are a sad marketing scheme.
Fuck priest in their fucking ass. You can steal cards, assassinate for 2-3 mana, steal minions from the board, take control over enemy minions, randomly generate cards, randomly respawn minions, discover and revive dead minions (which random as well). The class is so god damn disgusting, so based on high rolling the rng, bleh. No, not op, just disgusting. I'm sure aggro win most of the time vs priest.
It is again an example of team five's complete lack of foresight. I am guessing priest got shadow word pain/death as a bandage when the class was under performing, but now that plenty good cards have been printed for priest, they are far over tuned and extremely efficient. The 4 attack blind spot is a laughable weakness, which in the light of priest's huge minions and ridiculous board clear, amounts to jack shit.

Well I do have a Putricide, and a basic Hunter deck I play occasionally. So yeah, I'ma do that too!
In general, if you find a deck/class no longer exciting, the obvious answer is to toy out different concepts until you find one you like.
That's how I got to play most of my rogue decks (except for that one time I actually played miracle, one oil rogue I thought I'd like but I did'nt, and another time I played pirates out of despair), Un'Goro handlock with Humongous Razorleaf, most of my hunter decks (besides GvG and BRM face hunter)... in fact most of my decks.
You'll find out many times you lose it's because of serious differences in terms of tempo/value, but if you really like the deck (and specially if it is an original/uncommon concept, every win will worth it).
And you can always make goofy decks when you don't feel like laddering, like, don't know, an entirely RNG oriented deck, or a 30 legends or some other wacky concept.
That's why I dusted him. This card nearly first card of all randomized that can kill pretty decent dude. DUST IT!

Strive for constant improvement and achieve your full potential.

WTF is wrong with you fucking retards playing unranked pirates and jade stuff. I just want to test some cool unique decks and you destroy the fun.
If you can't beat them, join them
Fuck priest in their fucking ass.
