The whining is totally BS. Why not creating a deck that breaks the meta for you? There are tons of archetype right there to choose from. In wild, Secret Mage is tier 1 and it is dominating the Wild scene. Just get your ass up and build a good deck. That's all.
I still play Dragon Mage with Khadgar and CC. Yes its quite a bit weaker now and it wasnt even in the Tierlists after Uldum but i still get a 55%+ wr with it.
I enjoy the strawmanning as much as the next guy, but the word "unplayable" is not to be taken literally.
Reno Mage is heavily unfavored against most of the prevalent decks right now.
The nerfs have swung win rates to the point where ladder gains are slow, and in particular, the legend climb is very difficult.
Pros who I've seen comment on it feel that mage has dropped out of their conquest lineups altogether.
That is the state of things, regardless of how you want to deliberately misconstrue words.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

This feels right.
When ApxVoid gets done with goofing around with Arena, we will start to see where Mage stands. In the meantime, I will feel free to goof around with newly opened Shaman Quest.
Though i've heard 'bout some homebrew setups allegedly fine for ranking, but massively mage has the worst win rate statistics at this moment. They might find some tier 2 setup i bet, but i doubt we see any mage tier 1 at least untill next expansion.

Rogue is DEFINITELY better off (relative to mage) at this point, but it involves playing the ultra-aggro variety.
People will continue to screw up with rogue by trying to play the board for a while. That is not the object of that deck. The object of that deck is to do 12-16 pts of damage to face via weapons, grab a few attacks off charge minions, and Evis for the win.
Warlock has been completely off the radar since the year's rotation. There is absolutely nothing that class can do that someone else can't do better. I think Warlock has been added to the "punished" class list, after the year and a third of domination of cube lock. Priest still seems on that list as well. Druid and shaman are just now being forgiven.

Re: Rogue = cool plan, but so many decks have some healing and/or taunts.
This is sitting at a 56.6% win rate right now, but I've run into opponents playing it 4 times in the last two days, and ALL of them have played it incorrectly. This is mislabeled "tempo rogue". It's not a tempo rogue. It's played as pure aggro.
Don't take my word for it if you aren't inclined to do so. Decks very similar to this were fairly popular in GM league BEFORE THE NERFS last week, and they were all played as a pure face deck. With the considerable slowing of the meta this week, this will be even more imperative now.
I do like this version in particular because of the second Sap and the single Shadowstep. You are trying to race down to Leeroy range, and having access to the potential to triple Leeroy with a Pick and Step over the course of two turns will win more games than you think.
Make no mistake, this deck is not particularly fun and doesn't present a particularly diverse set of play experiences. It does, however, win games.

Ironically, in sporting terms - since eSports are technically a sport - the term "unplayable" usually means someone (or some team / some "thing") cannot be beaten in their current run of form.
So, one could take the title of this thread to mean that after the nerfs, Mage is now the most unbeatable class in the game. :-D
(It's not, obviously, but I liked the fact that the word could easily mean the opposite to what the OP intended it to mean)
Well. OP is right. Mage is so bad atm that you can't even see decks for mage on hsreplay between rank 1 and 5.
I'm glad I crafted highlander mage :) Well... That's what happens when just 1 card grants additional 5% WR. GJ BLIZZARD! Thanks for letting me spend my dust on mage for nothing! Should have stood away from this class, it was fucking worthless.
It's natural that the winrate of Mage decreased a lot after the patch. Their two most powerful cards got nerfed and now the class is undergoing more experiments (which results in more losses and thus a lower overall winrate).
Give it time for the Mage pros to come up with some new refined lists for the class.

Lets see. You crafted the best deck which happens to have a ton of legendaries in it right before a balance patch was going to hit it.
Doesn't have to be rank 10, mind you.
I'm playing it at rank 3-1 currently. :-)
Would probably also be good at 10 or 20 though.

If u think Mage is unplayable, then u suck at HS. If u need to play a broken card like 5 mana Luna'sto win, thenI feel sorry for you.
use some creativity and some imagination.

Tier 3 and unplayable is not the same thing.
OP means not competitively playable.

Rot in hell conjurers calling skilless noobs - well deserved!

Just recently finished beating a Highlander hunter. I played Galaxy on 7, he play Bran, then conceded two turns later. I believe it was two.
Im sure this doesn’t prove much. But I did play an unplayable card in an unplayable deck against an unfavorable matchup, and won.
Lets see. You crafted the best deck which happens to have a ton of legendaries in it right before a balance patch was going to hit it.
Whose fault is that?
GJ Champ.
Yesterday I won 4 of 5 games in legend with old cyclone mage with quest.
Reno mage is still good, tier 3 but still, the most fun deck to play and it's very good against certain matchups.
So, you are all just noobs, learn how to play.
I'm sorry for my bad english :D
