Lord Jaraxxus sucks and there's no question about that. This is not really a new issue, but it has become even more apparent in this expansion due to new interaction with Zephrys the Great. For those who don't know, he will always give you Sacrificial Pact if your opponent has become Lord J, which obiously means instant win for you.
Even apart from Lord's other weaknesses (mostly: high mana cost and very low health pool), I think this interaction should be removed, because it's inconsistent and illogical. Why does this interaction works in the first place? Because Jaraxxus is not a hero, but rather a minion, and he - unlike hero cards - may belong to a tribe (in this case, demons).
Ok then, but If he is from demons tribe, why can't he benefit from that and use effects like "your demons have +1 attack"? It says demons, not demonic minions or whatever (same as Sacrificial Pact and that's why Jaraxxus can be targeted with it). If he's a minion (is he?), why can't he be buffed as any other mionon? I mean he can, but his statistics does not transfer into life pool and attack of your hero after transformation. Why is that? After all, the description clearly indicates that you are becoming Jaraxxus, so his statistics should transfer.
It simply turns out that the beneficial interaction that should work, doesn't work, and the unfavorable interaction, which for many is not even obvious and natural, works and ensures you an immediate loss.
However, it's obvious that even this change would not make Jaraxxus playable, so I believe, that he should recieve a buff. What would you say if he became a full-fledged hero card? The same cost, gets 5 armor points instead of setting the life pool to a fixed 15, but also the hero power instead of 6/6 would summon 5/5 or even 5/4. This does not seem to be OP, especially if we compare it to Hack the System, which gives pretty much the same effect, but much faster, as it may be achieved on turn 5-6, without paying additional costs (so you can use it immediately after getting it).

I mean...most decks don't even play mister j, so any deck with zephrys doesn't want to just keep the card just in case in a warlock matchup, that's pretty ridiculous, mister j is the same as he always is, get to a good spot where you can play him and then you're golden, now you just need to play around a 2 mana minion, that most people just play without thinking.

Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!
I totally agree with your point, I used to love Warlock and Handlock but Jaraxxus is totally useless right now. Moreover, I really like your way of thinking, It is true indeed that if Jaraxus is treated as a minion by a card It should be the same with all other minion-targeting cards. Very interesting point in my opinion, I never thought about it that way!
Your other Demons doesn't include you, because you are Jaraxxus, meaning your other Demons refers to Jaraxxus other Demons.
The other Demons of Jaraxxus doesn't include him, he is not one of his Demons, he is himself.
Sorry but I doubt so. Please note that the Jaraxxus card says: "destroy your hero", which clearly means, that it addresses you as a player (who possess hero), not a Warlock (Gul'Dan) himself. Otherwise it would say "destroy you". That's why "your demons" means "player's demons", not "Warlock's demons". Jaraxxus obviously belongs to player's demons, so it should interact with him.
Yep jarraxus should become a real hero like dr.boom/hagatha so not a demon/can't be killed with a simple sac pact. +X armor and no modification of life total
Just turn him into a hero card with no armor gain like the others, the hero power and battlecry: Set your life total to 15 and equip a 3/7 weapon.
Everything will be ok.
How 9 mana "do nothing" and be in constant danger of OTK (due to 15 HP limit) could be "OK" in nowadays Hearthstone? Or maybe by "OK" you mean: be cute but unplayable meme card?
Lord Jaraxxus has been my favourite card in the game since the very first time we could ever see Hearthstone gameplay when he won the game for the person who played him. The unique way the card worked, his voice lines, everything about him was just awesome.
And it's true. They are doing him dirty. Last month I still played a STANDARD Handlock deck with him in it, and he managed to win me a game on ladder, but that's probably the last time I'll be able to play him for the time being.
I understand that Classic cards should have more limited scope and powerlevel because they never rotate, but picking on 1 card specifically like this with Sacrificial Pact through Zephrys is just rude.

Velen is actually used in combo and otk decks, King krush is indirectly used now by hunters. So yeah, jaraxxus is really the most horrible one (at least in my opinion, but everyone has its own!)
I definitely feel like he should be fixed to not die to sac pact. that has always been a weird interaction to me but I'm actually happy that Zephrys gives you the pact if your opponent is Jaraxxus, that means that this card really evaluates as much info from the game as possible and gives you the perfect card you need for each situation. I also like the skill behind using Zephrys, like the difference of playing him on curve, or with low mana or at the beggining or end of the turn or before/ after trading and small details like that.
I disagree with "buffing" him. I think Jaraxxus is still fine on paper and while Standard hasn't been too kind to him the last few years, this could always change. There have been time periods where Jaraxxus was strong and frequently played and game-winning, and I want to believe that we might get back to that point someday. Maybe a new mini-Mal'Ganis will get released, maybe Warlock gets armor somehow... we'll see.
However, I agree that the interaction between Jaraxxus and Sacrificial Pact should get fixed. While it was a quirky yet rarely occuring event in the past that you'd be able to instantly destroy Jaraxxus, it was always unintuitive, and now Zephrys guarantees that you can pull this off regardless of class, which honestly feels cheap. Jaraxxus is already a very risky card, and now becomes pretty much unplayable for the next two years in Standard, and forever in Wild (where he's already too weak).
When he becomes your hero, he should just lose to the demon tag. How silly would it be if Morgl could die to a Hungry Crab?!
I understand that Classic cards should have more limited scope and powerlevel because they never rotate
It's 100% true! Yet we must remember about so called "identity". Every class needs it and as we all know, it's provided by some powerful key class cards, available in classic or basic set. Thanks to such cards, each class has its unique direction, which allows players - regardless of rotation - to create playable and viable archetypes (or at least that was until recently, now blizzard messes with basic and classic cards, weakening some classes heavily and leaving other classes intact, like Druid who lost Naturalize or Warlock who lost Power Overwhelming and Doomguard). The thing is, Warlock is one of those classes that has always had a problem with identity. So why can't we have Lord J as such card? Card that determines his identity and sets direction for entire class? Something like Brawl for Warrior Bloodlust for Shaman or Kill Command for Hunter.

Please compare Chillwind Yeti to Neferset Thrasher. While the second one is very good, first one seen play maybe 3 years ago. This is called "Power Creep" and thanks to this process, Jaraxxus - without buff - won't be viable like... ever. 9 mana battlecry: "do nothing" and HP pool fixed on 15 was decent trade off in the past, now it's just bad.
Warlock is fine. Stop crying here. Lord J is pretty balanced. First of all, not all people play highlander decks, non-highlander decks dont have access to the pact. Also Lord J isnt popular for a loooooong time. I dont think buffing him would be a good idea, Warlock heropower is already very strong, giving warlock then the ability to replace its heropower with something more control-ish? Nah fam. No. Other (class) legendaries from the Classic set arent popular, but ofcourse it changes, but as Lord J being a Classic card: dont touch the powerlevel.
I dont understand what you mean, Warlock doesnt have an identity? Same for the examples, Brawl determines Warrior identity?

What OTK deck ? play Velen on 7 and hope opponent doesn't kill it, so you can Holy Smite or Holy Fire next turn ? Velen is literally the least played classic class legendary in the game.
King Krush only saw play during the Cube Hunter days, even then he wasn't particularly good, he was just good enough to be included so Kathrena Winterwisp is consistent. If you drew him early game with an average opener, you were basically fucked.
Niche Classic legendaries - Velen, KK and Al Akir - had their heydays and they don't see any play whatsoever now. Just as Jaraxxus had his when Emperor Thaurissan was in Standard, now he is trash. Either buff all of the niche Classic legendaries or none of them.
i found jaraxus in a pack and everytime i played him i lost the turn after :D

pretty lame to put i hate warlock in the poll... you can say hes fine + like warlock...

That's because I don't believe it's possible to like Warlock and to think, that the Lord J is fine...

If I had to rate Classic class legendaries
Edwin > Antonidas > Grommash = Tirion = Cenarius > Al Akir > Jaraxxus > Velen > King Krush
If Jaraxxus deserved to get buffed, then so does Velen and KK.

Most part of cards in HS are underpowered, huge part of them is largely underpowered. It is justmuch one of them.
Though i'd like as well for them to be buffed.
