With SoU coming, it is time to update the good old Big Priest list. Some options I am considering adding are: Activate the Obelisk, Embalming Ritual, or Colossus of the Moon. What about you guys? How can we make this deck even more cancerous to play against after the new set hits?
Activate the Obelisk is not a solid strategy in big Priest. It's just not relevant. You already have big minions and Big Priest's strength comes from the big boards it can create out of nothing.
Embalming Ritual I can't think of a card I would remove for this card. Ressuract and the 4 mana res spell already does a pretty good job at keeping minions on the board.
Colossus of the Moon could be a good addition and a pain in ass to deal with early on - especially multiple of them. Try it out. The only downside, compared to the other minions in the deck, is that it doesn't do anything which makes it a bad pull against aggro decks.
There's something about the mechanics of Reborn that I'm unsure of and want to see testing done in the next few weeks.
For your example of Colossus of the Moon will it create a death pool of both a minion with Reborn and without it when it dies twice?
Resurrect is probably better than Embalming, not sure if the thread is Standard or Wild though.
Nope. Unfortunately they confirmed somewhere that the "reborn" text on the card is its natural text, so if you lets say played Embalming Ritual on a Ragnaros, the Firelord and you played 0 other minions all game, Mass Resurrection would give you 2 rags, and if only the colossus died, you always get 2 copies with both having reborn. It's really stupid and abusive. Idk why they even bothered with this boring mechanic. They probably spent half the dev team for months working on Zephyrs the Great and were like "shit, what are we going to do with the rest of the set? We still have 40 cards to make and only a week left". That being said though, I'm still looking forward to it and think it'll be a good expac
"Edgy quote about being too smart and suffering for it" - Literally who - 1890 Yes I am better than you, my signature implies it. Annoying Random colours.
Big priest is going to be even more broken and this may finally force a Barnes [/card] nerf to 6 mana. They have cards like [card]blatant decoy to cheat out something big from their hand. They may replace Ragnaros the Firelord with Colossus of the Moon which is far stickier and will just win you the game on the spot on it's own. They also have Plague of Death if two Psychic Scream isn't enough. Penance looks to be replacing shadow word:pain they also have Psychopompfor even more resurrects.
I am playing only wild for 3 years and big priest is not such a problem. It has at best 60% wr in any version or revision and is easily countered by mage or rattle hunter , mecha lock and so on. So why nerf anything?
Because it’s the most widely hated deck in the format?

Naga Sea Witch was considered problematic and unfun and was brutally nerfed. Not because it was unbeatable, but because it forced everyone to have an answer or end the game as quickly as possible, which doesn't make for a fun experience. Big Priest is far worse, and it is by far the most popular deck in the format for a long time already. It singlehandedly forces the metagame to be as aggressive as it is right now, which is the sole reason why the winrate is unremarkable.
I'm not saying it needs to get nerfed, but it definitely needs to get addressed. Jade Idol can be completely negated by Skulking Geist. Big Priest deserves a counter of similar magnitude. If Team5 can't be bothered to nerf anything, they at least should add a card that completely shuts the deck down. And it's an utter shame that they haven't done that in 6 friggin expansions since the release of Eternal Servitude and Shadow Essence. If Big Priest should get nerfed one day, it is 100% justified.

No deck in the history of HS has ever been nerfed because it is "hated". Do you have a valid reason?

To be fair to the guy, that is a perfectly valid reason. The deck creates a negative experience for a large number of players. That may not be a valid reason from a balance standpoint, but from a quality of life standpoint it is absolutely valid. Also if that 60% win rate statistic is true (I have no idea, I've never played Wild in my life but I highly doubt that it is) then it clearly needs nerfing from a balance standpoint as well lmao.

Quest Rogue.
You are suffering from a delusion. Quest Rogue, in the hands of skilled players, was OP, and dominated play in High Legend ladder. The numbers on HSReplay are meaningless because most players are far too inept to even come close to playing it correctly. It wasn't nerfed because it was "polarizing". It wasn't nerfed because a bunch of cry babies made angry posts about it. It was broken.

NO.
People are FREE to play the strategy they want to. Taking that freedom away is not a quality of life improvement - in fact, it is actually the opposite.
The whole idea of Wild is to let players play the decks they want to play but can't anymore because they don't exist in Wild. Nerfing a deck because people don't like playing against it is counter to the Wild philosophy.
There are valid reasons to nerf Big Priest, but quality of life isn't one of them.
Finally, the Wild population NEVER STOPS moaning and groaning. "Just nerf NSW Giants and Wild will be great." But then there was Kingsbane Rogue. "Just nerf Kingsbane Rogue and Wild will be perfect.". Er, Star Aligner Druid. Only a fool believes that nerfing Big Priest out of existence would change that.
Wild is what it is. Its a place where you can make the most degenerate broken decks in the history of HS. So can your opponent. If the latter bothers you that much, Wild is not the place for you.

A reborn that is resurrected comes back with full health.
Not exactly.
I might try it out with the quest first.
Murloc Tinyfin seems good - a little guy to complement the big minions.

Psychopomp is garbage in big priest.
As announced the last time, Team 5 needs more data regarding Barnes. OMEGALUL. Idk why Blizz is trying to push us players out of Wild :(

Yesterday, I had a blast beating 8-10 Big/Res Priests across the evening.
Please add Colossus of the Moon. He'd make the matchup so much more enjoyable.
