I'm theorycrafting a highlander/discover/big spell mage deck for Uldum and I'm wondering if the card you choose from Zephrys the Great counts as 'discovering' a card and would therefore be reduced in cost by Dwarven Archaeologist's effect.
Does anyone know if the 'wish' wording, which does offer you to pick from 3 options but from any class, would be affected by the discover discount?
Interestingly, Zephyrs can give you card from other classes, whereas the discover mechanic has always been limited to neutral cards and cards from the class you're playing.

Was clarified that it can't. You get 4 choices when you play the card. The 3 regular discover choices(from your class). 4th option is the "mystery choice" which is a random spell from your class. Basically you take this if the other 3 options suck.

He will offer you 3 cards limited to the Basic and Classic sets. They can be from any class. There's supposedly some AI involved allowing to him to give you choices you might want for the position you're in.
As for whether they will be considered Discovered cards, I'm not sure that's been clarified.

Tracking doesn't even though it's kinda like discover. Typically Blizzard would argue that "If it's not on the card then it's not", but then again Potion of Madness/Shadow Madness both grant Charge - unmentioned.
Fairly safe bet that it won't be considered a discover card. Seems like another one of the cards which basically displays the characteristics of the mechanic but isn't classed as having the mechanic. Blizzard following its MO of simplifying the game for new players :)

No one can know until we try it.

You are mistaking Zephrys the Great with Vulpera Scoundrel
