Why people want more dragons? We had like 2 years of dragon cards realeased like in like 4 different sets, and after that there is more added (recently Rasthakan if i remember) so if you really want play dragons, just play wild lol
This just made me feel bad for paladin. Their deck types are all half asses. The 1 health theme consist of just 3 cards, reborn quest with 2 mediocre reborn minions and the hint of dragon synergy last expansion... it’s rough out here for warriors of light
Year of ___________ does not signify the theme of the year nor of the expansions. Completely irrelevant to the theme or card printing for that year. In no way does YEAR OF _____________ tell you anything about expansions or what cards will be printed. You will not get Krakens. You will not get Dragons. You will not get mammoths. It is not the theme. Just arbitrary name for a Hearthstone year.
Year of __________ is just a way to designate a title to a Hearthstone year NOT a theme or expansions for that year.

Are we clear?
Dragons are not the same as mammoths nor krakens. It is a designated tag that was a utilized as an archetype last expansion. Not including them is a mistake regardless of your opinion of how yearly titles work.
It is interesting (regardless of the year) that there were no dragons this expansion since there are often at least one or two in most new sets.
That said however, are there dragons ever normally in Uldum from a lore / flavour perspective? Perhaps thats not the direction they wanted to go for this expansion.

Regardless of whether a mammoth is an archtype or not the point still stands. The name is thematic and doesn't state an abundance of a certain archetype.
I like dragons too but objectively it is not a mistake to neglect a certain archetype. You might think it is a mistake but that's your opinion.

Flavor-wise, they could have added some bronze dragons of Tanaris (a desert which neighbors Uldum).

actually the name of the year does hint at one of the sets in the expansion
examples
Year of the kraken gave us Old Gods, Old Gods have tentacles like a kraken
Year of the mammoth gave us old beasts (dinosaurs) and cold (knights of the frozen throne)
year of the raven gave us the witchwood which has birds

This is supposedly the second expansion of The Year of the Dragon. So what the heck!? No dragons!
Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
yep. not even 1
Sure, there weren't all that many mammoths or ravens during those years; but dragon is a Hearthstone minion type.

They can't give it to you every expansion, there is wild mode to consider
Next expansion is most likely going to be Warlords of Draenor themed, so expect atleast 1 bronze drake.
Chemically neutered dog.
why? it kills priest and warrior archetypes based on dragons. 2-3 good one`s would be enough to refresh it

Why we want more dragons? As a paladin player it would be nice to use my epic cards; cathedral gargoyle and dragon speaker..
Why does blizzard release cards with dragon synergy, but no dragons? That's the real question man..
I found this to be quite odd as well. It really makes no sense at all to me to not release a couple dragons every expansion this year.

Wtb dragons and to hell with all those murlocs. Dev team must be loving those ugly, gibberish speaking, fish smelling, annoying creatures.

no dragons possibly because a dragon expansion is coming
Flavor-wise, they could have added some bronze dragons of Tanaris (a desert which neighbors Uldum).
They actually used a few ogres (Bazaar Mugger, Armored Goon, Sunstruck Henchman) and sand trolls (Whirlkick Master, Crystal Merchant) of Tanaris for this expansion.
Next expansion will be full on dragons. Don't worry.
That would be golden.
