nah mech hunter is trash. it's good at lower ranks but has one of the lowest skill ceilings in the game. It's winrate goes down the higher you go up the ladder. It doesn't have a single match win in grandmasters even in matches it's supposed to be favored like mage and warrior. It's an ok ladder deck because it's consistency and highrolls will keep you above 50% but it's certainly not one of the best decks.
In all seriousness it's a solid deck but there is no reason to nerf it. I guess the popularity is something to consider but that is just because it's the cheapest most brainless deck.
You have the weirdest criteria for what you consider a good deck. There are many, many decision points as you play it, so it's certainly not brainless.
Grandmasters is completely irrelevant because fewer than 50 people in the world are involved.
It's not just "okay" on ladder. It's actually one of the highest win rate decks out there, over 59 percent. That means one of three things:
It truly is brainless, meaning even a bad player can win with it; therefore it is actually a very strong deck, or
It is just an okay deck that many players are somehow using to beat all the other, better decks, which means it's not brainless, or
It is neither brainless nor "just okay."
In any case, there's something wrong with your argument.
(I'm not saying there's reason to nerf it. I'm just saying it's strong and not brainless, and fine as it is.)
Strong yes? Overpowered? No of course not. Agreed with all points... but skillful? ANY College/HS dropout that slobbers at the mouth and was dropped on their noggin repeatedly as a child can pilot mech hunter. It's ENTIRE purpose is to net welfare wins for those people who are too lazy in life to work hard for anything. No one with a high IQ finds IM GUNNA GO FACE GUYZYZYYZYZ appealing.
Aggro CAN be skill intensive. It is possible, but this not one of those examples. This rewards you for board pressure which takes next to no effort to establish. Half your wins are because your opponent simply drew the wrong answers and unrelated to any individual decisions you're making. You can play like dog shit and still win 50+% of the time.

It's pretty brainless in the context of hearthstone, obviously it's a hyperbole because no deck could truly be brainless but it's the lowest skill ceiling in the meta, very linear gameplan, and there really isn't that much decision making. I don't really see the "many decisions points". All you need is basic hearthstone fundamentals for playing any aggressive deck. You curve out, trade when you can be punished, and build a board resilient to opponents removal. You usually don't even have that many lines available because it's a very curvestone deck.
Where is the 59% from? if you mean from the hsreplay overall then that isn't any more relevant than grandmasters because you're including lower ranks. Other "okay" decks like Zoo and Token druid also have 59%ish winrates there because they're linear gameplan and counterplay isn't optimal at lower ranks.

These past few tournaments I’ve watched have shown me that just because a deck has favorable match ups against certain arch types, doesn’t mean they are an auto win. Hunters win rate in them can attest to that.
I won’t call Mech Hunter trash, but it’s apparent that people with great skill can overcome their decks shortcomings against Hunter.

Grammar is the difference between knowing your crap, and knowing you’re crap.
Hunter's classic/basic cards are powerful! They have a core to build around every expansion/meta... like (besides mech hunter), when was the last time kill command, Savannah Highmane, animal companion, etc. weren't in decks? all you gotta do is HOF one of the core hunter cards (which i would be strongly against it though bc hunter is a f2p friendly class).

Its just an embarrassment.
Play like a fucking retard and mess up...ow wait.I saw someone play missile launcher+the poison mech thing...apparantly that is good..
a deck that requires nothing more than play anything that lights up green and go face, should note be that succesful.
