First of all, let me say I'm not really complaining here. I think the buffs are an awesome experiment. And it's a clever way to test out the concept without affecting standard forever...
..But it will affect Wild forever. As odd Paladin is already a strong deck in Wild, do you think the new Crystology might be too strong?
Or is big Priest so strong that it won't even matter?
Crystology will be an auto-include in wild Odd Paly, and honestly in any paly with some 1-attack minions. Just too good as a card. Will it carry Paly through its current status in standard? I can't say for sure.
As good as 1 Mana draw 2 is, I feel that odd paladin would much rather play a minion turn 1 just because the deck is so reliant on just beating the everloving shit out of people before they are able to react.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.

No one said anything about playing Crystology turn 1, that's not a good play, as you said you much rather play a minion on that turn but still I do think that the card is not good on Odd Paladin, the standart version used to run a lot of 1 attack minion cause there was nothing better so in that case the card would've been solid enough to tech at least one as extra draw but if you check the current wild version it only runs 3 1-attack minions which are 2 Righteous Protector and then Patches the Pirate (Which obviously you don't want to draw, so running even 1 Crystology seems like a waste of a slot specially cause of the other poweful cards available in wild.
I don't really think so? You would rather play a one drop than draw two one drops. Against aggro where you won't hero power on two you might drop two one drops on two instead, but ehh missing the one drop isn't good.
As far as refill later on in the game, divine favor is just better. It might be a card played in odd pally because one mana draw two is strong but I don't think it's strong enough to push the deck to new heights or anything.

Oh yes the autoinclude, that’s a Hearthstone mastermind right here.
Drawing your Patches on t1 seems like a brilliant idea
IMO, this card was perfectly balanced at 2 mana and they should have given it more time to work before buffing. The only reason it hasn't seen much play is because Call to Arms, which is similar but superior, existed for most of its lifetime. For the remainder of the time, paladin as a class has been down in the dumps and this card has not had a chance to be played
Yeah this is the only buff that immediately strikes me as being likely to get reverted. They literally just nerfed a rogue card because "3 mana draw 3 was above the power curve" and 1 mana draw 2 is way better than that. It's insane in any otk paladin as it draws more draw, it's insane in aggro paladin as a very cheap refill, likewise for odd pally now, it's good in secret paladin for hitting secretkeeper, midrange paladin can use it to thin hit value cards like stonehill or pull Kangor to save themself (or even just thin early game out the deck).
There's just a lot of ways, in any play mode, that 1 mana draw 2 is going to be good. Not only that but they have to even more careful of printing powerful paldin minions with 1 attack. It would have been better to throw an extra hp on annoy-o-module in place of this buff imo.
The only real use for the buffed Crystology i can see is in an Odd Aladdin Paladin with Magic Carpet. Or similar stuff, with a specific target in the deck.
For sheer draw, Divine Favor is still much better.
I think that an odd mech paladin might appear from this (there are a lot of odd-cost mechs, some of which have 1-attack). Stonehill Defender can be run there as well. But even if this isn't the case, Exodia became stronger in wild and I worry how it will succeed once big priest gets nerfed one day.
Well I already use it in standard with Glowstone Technician for a Handbuff Mech Paladin and have about 50% on rank 5 in EU, I think that this deck will much stronger after the buffs

I fully agree with everything you said. I always thought Crystology was a good card and wonder why it got a buff.
And, guys, I don't mean to disregard the devs' decision of doing something new for their game and making old cards stronger, but most of the enhanced ones are the wrong candidates imho. Like, why would you reduce the cost of a perfectly designed card and make it problematic (Crystology)? Why would you reduce the cost of an underwhelming card like Violet Haze, if still not going to see any play because rogues have better value generators in both formats (Heistbaron Togwaggle, Academic Espionage)? Or Flark's Boom-Zooka? What card in the past made it problematic, that it deserve a cost increase to 8 mana and now it can be reverted to 7?
Underused cards should be buffed imho, but you have to put some time to decide which of those deserve this treatment. For example I like the changes to Necromechanic, Dr. Morrigan or Extra Arms (the latter being in wild), because those can enable powerful synergies, which weren't explored before, while still being fair. Spirit Bomb is the card, that I really want to try once warlock gets more healing tools in standard. People didn't want to run it, because it wasn't that rewarding in comparison to Shadow Bolt, but with the cost decrease this card becomes a really interesting inclusion in a control/suicide deck.
Yeah and don't add Baku either because it's a useless 9-drop. You're a genius.
LOL so ppl are now complaining this will draw patches but they still wanna put it in.
1 mana draw 2 minions is broken enough. so ppl are worried if it will draw the once-broken Patches. Genius.
OP's concern was about odd paladin. Odd paladin cares far more about patches than a 1 mana draw 2 1drops. ESPECIALLY because it has divine favor already. Genius.

Why play this when you have divine favor ??

When you read people actually believing that Crystology will be bad because "muh Patches".... lol
Ah, Hearthstone.....
OP's concern was about odd paladin. Odd paladin cares far more about patches than a 1 mana draw 2 1drops. ESPECIALLY because it has divine favor already. Genius.
Play 2x this and 1x divine favor, guaranteed this will happen. Divine favor isn't very good against aggro decks.
Neither is this lol. Do you think paladin has a single mana to spare the first 5 turns to draw two argent protectors and patches? No.
