I was really excited to play this new game mode but I was really let down. The game mode is just a dungeon run 2.0 with very little innovation.
The money/gold requirement to buy the whole thing is not worth at all, it's essentially a dungeon run but with the cash grab.
I hope Blizzard will never do another adventure like this cause it sucks so hard, first we had the adventures but we got all the cards and it was actually great, then they made adventures free but without cards and I accepted it. Now you have to pay too to play this shit mode...
Instead of increasing the playable game modes they have been essentially spamming the same mode for the last 3 expansions or so and now behind a "paywall" too. A really bad mode imo.
Dungeon ? The Dalaran Heist ? It Boring. Old minnion old spell card. What a excited story ? What a new card for ur deck ? Fun ? See medivh dungeon so excited for this , sir medivh cool man , Story interesting it joke party hahaha , U love dalaran ?
I don't think it's bad. In fact, up to now I like it more than Rastakan's Rumble or the other two PvE contents.
However, I am a little bit disappointed that it is again a Dungeon run that is essentially the same what we already had trice. I am pretty certain I will get bored once the new feel wears off. But I guess it also is difficult to come up with a cmpletely new take on the rogue likes. I personally would have preferred that they made some boss encounters in which you can use your collection again.
Gratitude for what? 90% of people will play this once and never play it again. That Legendary card is trash, expected, and some fights are bullshit. They should have worked on new multiplayer mode, not this thing.
If I buy with cash do I get all wings now or still have to wait? That would be a bummer
I am pretty certain that you can only play the next wings once they get released for everybdy. All old adventures came out a wing per week and you had to wait regardless whether you paid money or gold.
edit: apparently I was wrong. I read somewhere in the forum that you get the whole content immediately. But I don’t know for sure.
Why don't you make it clear? The dalaran heist is a scam.
So correct me if i am wrong but this content is somewhat very similar to kobold and catacombs and witchwood dungeon runs... well, tbh is the exact same thing but extended. And now you have to pay for the same i got for free to obtain 15 packs and useless legendary? fucking scam.
15 packs is already the price of the solo content. So you are getting a Free Legendary, a free Golden Classic Pack and the Solo Content for free. Scam?
The nay-sayers are of course entitled to their opinion, but..... There are a lot of user names on here, that I, month after month, year after year, only see salty posts from. I think it is time you guys re-evaluate how you spent your time. You know who you are, do yourselves a favor :)
I enjoyed the first wing. Purchased the 2nd one, got bored. If there is something really exciting on any of the other ones, I'll consider getting it. Otherwise, if the other 3 are like the 1st and 2nd ones... absolutely not. Cheers ! :)

Little innovation? Cash grab? Lets take a look at what your $20 gets you:
- 15 card packs - 1 Golden Legendary - 5 chapters of exclusive content - New deck-building feature (Tavern visits) - 9 Henchmen to play as. - Each of the henchmen have 4 different decks to choose from, and 4 different hero powers. - Dozens of unique bosses. - Even more new treasures added throughout each run.
Learn some gratitude, or go complain elsewhere.
Wow. What does Blizzard's ass taste like?
We can play as nine different guys? Two extra hero powers to choose from? New bosses? New treasures on top of mostly the same old played out ones? Cards that would have helped me a month ago but are just dust now?
Gee whiz I'm SO GRATEFUL!
This is just Dungeon Rumble reheated and served up again. How long do think it'll take for this to get boring? I'm done with Dungeon Runs and the other two that came after. Why? Because I've played the shit out of them already! Like everyone else! New bosses and a few tweaks isn't gonna change the fact that it's just another Dungeon Run.
This is fresh and new like Daenerys losing her shit was well built up to. Enjoy smooching this lipstick slathered pig.
I kinda like it so far (first chapter was easy and enjoyable) though I somewhat agree with OP. You simply can't ignore the fact, that it's still nothing more than Dungeon Run 4.0. Everything here is much more polished (even RNG seems to favor player more often), but I'd say, it's not that exciting anymore. Even worse, that this time, we have to pay for it. If you love Dungeon Run gameplay style - go for it, you'll have tons of fun. If you feel bored of it, don't bother.
I prefer old adventures. I dont like the run mechanic. It sucks when you won 6 games, then your enemy has a sick opener and the game is over so quick and you have to start from the beginning again and go through all that easy shit, the animations, etc.
The value (or lack of) doesn't bother me as much as this is now the forth Dungeon Run, and I didn't care for the other three. So I'm out based on that alone.
That said, the defenders of this content as good value for money really need to take a look at what we used to get from single player adventures. League of Explorers is the same price as this.
On one hand, i can understand it can backlash and be considered as a scam by new players, who could waste their gold without considering the card value they get, and regret it badly afterwards.
Besides that tho, the Adventure is nice and well-themed. Dalaran helps a lot with that, but the Adventure itself is cool.
Surely if we look just at the dust/gold value it's terrible, but it's not like you can't make your own calculations and decide accordingly. Even as a new player.
Either way, definitely no bummer. Easily the best quality PvE content we had so far.
I haven't bought the adventure yet, but having played the first chapter, I think it's very well made and fun. It is definitely not a "dungeon run 2.0", lol.
It brings some new cool stuff to the table, like having a chance to edit your deck in the tavern which we haven't seen before. Saying that there is little innovation is absurd! The things that have been added, do justify the cost of the adventure in my opinion. With the stuff that were added to this adventure, putting it out for free would be charity...
What's the point of complaining about this adventure? It is just plain silly. You don't have to buy it or play it. You can just skip it and forget that it has ever been released and you will not find yourself in a disadvantage on ladder, like it was the case with Blackrock Mountain or Naxxramas.
Lastly, you guys must know that not everything the developers make should satisfy the neckbeards that only care about the competitive side of the game. There are plenty of players who play this game for fun and don't put as many hours into the game. That being said, the legendary is great for many players who want to try the competitive decks, so don't call it trash because youdon't find it useful.
Anyway, I think this content is an improvement on all sides to everything else we've had thus far.
You saw 2 wings and already you’re bashing it.
This is the most fun I've had playing Hearthstone in ages and that's only the first two chapters since the final 3 aren't even out yet.

I don't think it means what you think it means...
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
I’m having an absolute blast with this adventure.

This lazy rehash for cash deserves the full Artifact treatment.

Free dungeon run: 9 heroes, 1 hero power each, 1 starter deck each = a background that you will never really use.
Free dalran heist: 9 heroes, 3 hero powers each, 4 starter decks each = 3 packs with value and cool cards.
I can totally understand why you think the new content is why worse than dungeon run 🙄🤦🏻♂️
On one hand, i can understand it can backlash and be considered as a scam by new players, who could waste their gold without considering the card value they get, and regret it badly afterwards.
