I like the fact that with all the achievements (decks, hero powers, the crowns on top of your hero) if you are a perfectionist (which I am) you can be busy for ages. 9 heros * 5 wings * 2 level of difficulty is gonna take 90 complete runs to have full crowns.
I also like a lot the Barista feature.
But I still miss the good old fashion adventures where yours deck building abilities were being challenged
I'm enjoying it and will be buying it as soon as I finish work. Its £16. That's less than an hours work for me.
I still think it's not terrible value, an Adventure, a Golden Legendary, a Golden Classic Pack and 15 RoS Packs sounds OK.
Not only that but it'll provide a good few hours of play time. If you'd spent £16 on a game for your PS4 or Xbone and it gave you around 20-30 hours of play, that's a good deal.
seriously i don't get complains about content you don't need to buy to stay competitive, You know buying is not obligatory? blizzard will not ban you from the game if you don't want to spend money/gold on it. There are ZERO reasons to buy it apart of having fun.
1) you don't like solo content - don't buy it.
2) if you think solo content is not enough value for the price - don't buy it
3) you cant afford - don't buy it
4) you think golden packs and golden legendary are bait - don't buy it
5) any other reason you don't feel like buying it - you guessed right. Just don't buy it.
If you feel like playing it, can afford it, and think it is a lot of fun. Just go and buy it and enjoy.
Just to make sure - there's no way to obtain the golden Zayle, Shadow Cloak for HS gold just yet, right? I've bought the 2nd wing but I'm unable to unlock the further ones. I'm not missing anything, am I?
buy with money or wait until the last wing is open and buy it with gold, there is no more.
Man i constantly forget how many trolls are on this site. OP has an opinion, all the comments are in the camp of " you are wrong, your opinion is stupid, Here is my clearly superior opinion expressing why you have no business having an opinion,". Like chill if the OP doesn't like it that's fine.

This is a forum, buddy. People express their opinions here. If you don't want to know if the community share your point of view or is against it, don't open a thread about it.
The content is still an improvement from last "dungeon runs" but that's not the point of the discussion. AbusingKel said all the things that I wanted to say.
Regarding all the people saying "if you don't want it don't buy it" etc. etc. What you say is true but what I'm complaining about is that Blizzard's business model makes no sense at all. They are trying to sell something that was free before and I haven't seen anyone point this out, so I thought I'd share my opinion. As more and more people are essentially agreeing with me I think Blizzard really missed and opportunity with the Dalaran Heist and I hope they won't keep on doing this in future expansions.
Adding a bartender and some hero powers is not new content, it's lazy design. Putting a price tag on this sad thing is even worse.
"Trying to sell something that was free before" is one of the most effective business models in existence, and one of the most common. Most consumers actually appreciate it.
Do you sneer at the old lady in the supermarket who is handing out free samples? Do you yell at the car salesman for not giving you the car for free after a test drive? How can anyone honestly find this practice upsetting?
"They are trying to sell something that was free before" is completely false, though. This product has never existed before. Similar products have existed in the past, and they were free. That doesn't mean Blizzard is obligated to give away all PvE content for free until the end of time.
This is a new product, and people at Blizzard put a lot of effort into it. Calling it "lazy design" is a massive, immature insult. They improved on a formula people had responded positively to in the past. That's not lazy; that's progress. And it's immature as hell for you to call it lazy while in the same breath complaining that you don't have it for free. If it's such a bed product, why do you seem to want it so much?
You think they "missed an opportunity" to get nothing from the development time and money they put into this? Really? Are you talking about an opportunity to attract more freeloaders to the game? That is the exact opposite of what Hearthstone needs.
On the contrary, this sets better expectation for new players -- you get a piece of the game for free, but if you want the full experience, you need to pay up. Just like regular Hearthstone.

It's perfectly appropriate and acceptable to criticize vapid posts. It's also worthwhile recognizing that the OP wasn't simply "expressing his opinions," but intentionally misrepresenting the cost of the new adventure - nothing is "hidden behind a paywall" as he pretended.
It is actually funny to see that some people buying every move that blizzard makes to make more money. You sure are the perfect customers for this company.

You MUST pay for wings 2-5 to play it. How is that not a paywall? Whether it's in-game gold or IRL money, the content cannot be accessed without payment.

I don't think there's been a single complaint in this thread that even tangentially mentions the desire to "stay competitive" but there are some that are unhappy with a previously free PvE content model now being a for-purchase-only content model. The cost of the game just went up $20 USD per expac in order to play PvE content that cost $ 0 USD in the last few sets.
Hopefully that clears up what you don't understand about the complaints.
Let me put it this way, if you'd spent £16 ($20 whatever) on 15 card packs, then got a Golden Classic Pack, a Golden Legendary and this Adventure for free would you be complaining?
It is actually funny to see that some people buying every move that blizzard makes to make more money. You sure are the perfect customers for this company.

When did honest opinion become a troll thing? Your passive-sarcasm wont win you an argument on internet lol.
It does feel like a let down not saying it sucks though I just have a different feel than others. Before it was either thats how you got new cards or it was free with a card pack expansion. I decided to fork up my gold and the concept is nice. I love the way they kept this dungeon run style interesting however it does feel too easy at times. I prefered a bit more of a challenge. While I enjoy the mode as it is, just the fact that after im done using my gold im not really getting anything. I already own all the cards. Guess I just pay 2800G for packs of dust. Still I'm going to keep playing it. Improvement by all means.

I was really excited to play this new game mode but I was really let down. The game mode is just a dungeon run 2.0 with very little innovation.
The money/gold requirement to buy the whole thing is not worth at all, it's essentially a dungeon run but with the cash grab.
Little innovation? Cash grab? Lets take a look at what your $20 gets you:
- 15 card packs - 1 Golden Legendary - 5 chapters of exclusive content - New deck-building feature (Tavern visits) - 9 Henchmen to play as. - Each of the henchmen have 4 different decks to choose from, and 4 different hero powers. - Dozens of unique bosses. - Even more new treasures added throughout each run.
Learn some gratitude, or go complain elsewhere.
Wow. What does Blizzard's ass taste like?
We can play as nine different guys? Two extra hero powers to choose from? New bosses? New treasures on top of mostly the same old played out ones? Cards that would have helped me a month ago but are just dust now?
Gee whiz I'm SO GRATEFUL!
This is just Dungeon Rumble reheated and served up again. How long do think it'll take for this to get boring? I'm done with Dungeon Runs and the other two that came after. Why? Because I've played the shit out of them already! Like everyone else! New bosses and a few tweaks isn't gonna change the fact that it's just another Dungeon Run.
This is fresh and new like Daenerys losing her shit was well built up to. Enjoy smooching this lipstick slathered pig.
It's a bummer that you have to live so negatively and unhappy that you can't just let people enjoy things. I personally didn't mind that it's in the same structure as Dungeon Run was, and from my original comment it seems that most people feel its worth the $20 dollar value. If you don't think so, you can just use gold. Or, go play something else. I'm sure your entitled attitude can get you to take your time and spend it elsewhere so we don't have to listen to you complain. Keep it up!

It is a lot of interesting content with a LOT of new features AND a free demo. It's a $20 video game with a ton of replayability.
If it weren't attached to Hearthstone, you would consider it a fantastic value.
If you just don't like this kind of content, you probably shouldn't buy it. That's why the first wing is free.
There is absolutely no room for disappointment here because this content has no impact on your life in any way if you decide not to get it.

FWIW I think it's great, and also free enough (gold).

This is why you should never give away things for free, customers then feel entitled and will complain when you charge a fair price.

I don't get what people are complaining about. It's loads of fun and that'S coming from someone who hated both DUngeon Run and Monster HUnt.
It's clearly an improvement over Rumble Run and the replayability has been greatly improved
Most of the bosses are actually entertaining to fight and the final bosses don't feel like utter bullshit to fight against
They finally prioritized the fun aspect and I commend them for that
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
