This is so over the top. Why would you ever do anything that you find 'insanely boring' ? I'm sure you're exaggerating for dramatic efge t but still... There is nothing I would find insanely boring that I would ever do by choice. If I did then I'm just being a complete cretin. Things I might have to do that are 'insanely boring' can be things like putting up furniture, re-grouting the bathroom, being in stand still traffic for hours.
I understand if people find ladder a bit repetitive at the moment, the card pool is low due to rotation so the choice isn't as varied. You may even not particularly enjoy playing against decks that are effective at the moment.
But to refer to it as insanely boring, or even boring, why are you choosing to play then? You know what I find boring? Farming simulator. You know what I don't do? Play farming simulator. I also then don't go on a farming simulator fan site and complaining over and over that it's boring.
Will someone please explain why, when you find something so bad and boring that you continue to play and discuss it? No one has ever answered this, I genuinely want to know. Its such an easy game to put down and go back to 3, 4 or 5+ months later, there's no excuse, you're causing your own misery which is just stupid.
I don't think I've ever agreed with a post on this site more than this one. Most of the time Threads like this are just created for people seeking like minded replies.

I do understand that and I obviously exeggerated, when i said, it is "insanely" boring. I do not hate the game, because then i would never ever post on a forum. :P
The thing is, that i see so much potential, so much cool stuff that could go on this game. I know not every card is meant to be op, but in my eyes it is sad to see, that interesting mechanics and synergies get washed away douzens of times, just because one or two decks are so prominent. It has come to a point, where the last 5 legendaries i got from packs did not make me feel excited, because i knew i can't even play them on ladder. 3 days ago, i played with a friend of mine and we just played homebrews vs each other, they weren't super strong but they also didn't suck. The gameplay was so interesting and fun.

It's not the worst meta ever, but it is definitely in need of a shake up so some other decks can have a chance to shine. Rogue has polarized the meta too much. Hopefully the nerf bat comes down soon to shake things up.
Eh, I'm all for releasing actual new content to shake things up as opposed to nerfing what we already have just to appease players who have short attention spans. CCGs by nature were never meant to have constant rotating metas frequently (Look towards Yu-Gi-Oh's reign of some variation of Chaos Control for over a year (Chaos Control, Chaos Goat Control, Chaos Phoenix Control).
If the purpose of nerfs is to create a rotating door system for every class to be a special snowflake for each meta then all you'll end up with after half of a year is a ton of jank Warsong Commander-esque cards.

Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion and if you prefer to play a certain way, that's your choice.
However, this isn't home brew stone. The main reason people complain about not being able to play their wild and wacky decks is that they aren't very good decks. Or they don't pilot them well. It's that simple. The very best deck in the game is a 'home brew' deck. I hate the phrase home brew, it translates to 'something I personally like the idea of and therefore feel I should be able to play with it' It's no different to the 10 highest performing decks. Someone created them, maybe multiple people had the exact same deck idea but it doesn't stop them being 'home brew' decks either. The difference is just those decks are good so people copy them.
What you're unhappy about is you not being able to play your way or have the choice you want in a competitive sense but that's the same for every other game, pretty much. I like to compare things with fifa because it's such a different game with such a different audience but complaints and issues still translate.
The 'home brew' complaints are the same as someone wanting to play ultimate team and use players they like the look of or build a team with players with the most outrageous hair styles but then complaining because that team isn't very good and they can't use it. But they play matches against their friends, who also use a team that's made using wacky requirements and sure, they have a blast. That isn't the game's fault though. You're wanting it to play how you personally like but it isn't designed for you as an individual. It's designed with a large amount of people in mind.
Fifa players also complain that the 'meta is boring' that there is a number of players that you just see over and over again because they are over powered or the most effective. They will also say things like 'it's not that I don't win, I do, it's boring though' 'I have no trouble competing but it's boring, I want it to play as I want'
Different game, different play bases, different devs, same complaints. Why? The people complaining all share the same logic in common. It isn't Blizzard, it isn't EA, sometimes the player has to accept that what they want just isn't what the game is about.
Yes, and this has been the biggest problem in this game for ages. The interesting cards always suck, the interesting decks always suck. Why? Because Aggro decks are way overpowered in this game, and have been almost since the beginning, and that is what most people are going to play, because they have the quickest games and the highest win rate (and the cheapest dust cost most times).
And this is a bad thing ? C'mon, it makes the game more f2p friendly and lets f2p players also win.
Do you prefer a game which you can only win with a 15k+ dust-costed deck ?
The discussion isn't about aggro vs. control or how much dust a deck cost, it is about the meta being stale / boring.
PS
Most (if not all) current meta decks are over 5k+ dust anyways. At the moment i almost enjoy playing low ranks 25-15 the most. This is where you see more budget decks and where skill actual matters and not who high-rolls first.
I know the discussion is not about deck costs but I just answered a guy who thinks the problem is only about aggro. That's all.
In another thread I already wrote what I feel and what some players feel like playing hearthstone. I guess we feel same thing already. :)
It's fine to say you don't like the new expansion, but your supporting arguments carry no weight at all. Nothing new in the game? Mech hunter, control shaman, bomb warrior, togwaggle rogue, new token druid, they're new and classesplay very differently from the previous expansion. Next to that, rotation means the game feels so fresh. Not having to play around psychcic scream, fungalmancer, or know that I lose my chance to close the game due to a Frostlich Jaina or Bloodreaver Guldan feels sooo good.
Sometimes it's the responsibility of the player to try something new, not just for the game to add it. Go try some new decks. You may enjoy them.
Indeed. It is amazing to see how little concern people have for whether or not the words they type are even remotely tethered to reality.
No new decks? You're an idiot.
Bomb Warrior OP? Provably false
Uninteractive? Words mean meanings regardless of what euphemism you want to use for "deck I don't like"
Man check the votes you will see how is right.
after less than one week:
12,8% Bad
60,4% Good
26,8% So and so
What do you think that will be the result after 1 month or even worst 2 or 3? The disappointment for this expansion like now is really high. Nearly half of the people, after less than one week thinks that this expansion is not good. So, probably you the the idiot. And yes. It is full of bomb warrior.
12.8% is nearly half of 'the people' ?
You seem desperate to convince people to be unhappy and drag as many as you can into your little hole of sadness. Why? Why are you pushing and pushing for people to not like it? It's pathetic mate.
12.8% will be higher than it actually is as well. Forums traditionally have a higher portion of bitches on it, people are more busy enjoying a game than going and writing about it but the sad lot who are unhappy seem to prefer camping out and trying to convince others of the same. It's not just hearthstone, same with every game forum I've been part of. Pretty much all of those have been called bad, boring, dying etc and yet are still going, still being enjoyed but the forums are still flooded with the same, asinine cretins that haunt the Internet.
What do you like, man? What makes you happy? What game do you enjoy? Is this the ONLY game you play? Can't you play something else whilst this period you're not enjoying is going on?
There's plenty of new games, sekiro could keep you busy for hours, play warcraft, maybe try out something like black desert online play magic the gathering or take up a sport or hobby. The world is your oyster.
What problems do you have man? 12,8%+ 26,8%. If you have issues in understanding data thinks the contrary.
60,4% of the people like the new expansion after one week. DO you think that this is a good result? What do you think that is the acceptance of the people after a new game expansion? 80%/90% when it is good. 60,4% after one week will be after 2/3 month less than 40% of acceptance.
Ah by the way: Why should I convince people to dislike the expansion? I really don't care. I hope that people like it. I like Hearthstone and I want people to play it. I am disappointed. THat's it.
I think someone else have problems handling the data of the poll. Why you count the 26,8% between unhappies? I 12% people don't like chocolate, 60% likes chocolate and 28% are indifferent, you cannot say nearly half of the people dislike chocolate.
BTW, even with your "statistics skills" 39.6% is closer to one third than to one half.
because it is statistics. All can conjure a benefit from some kind of weird numbers.
and for whom said that "there are only 3 decks in rank 1 - 3 " What do you expect ?
I mean it was always like that. Nothing ever changed for 6 years. My friends are refusing to play netdecks and they are losing on purpose at rank 16 because they don't want to play against same decks. I am also doing that after 1st season I mean for my checkpoints like if i am at 8 i am losing on purpose if i climb to 6 because casual is full of those "whiners" with their hyper aggro decks to farm golds on us. Ranked 20-15 has best variety of decks for standard. Wild is different. Wild casual is playable.
People knows how to enjoy but forum whiners don't know it seems. Love or hate, Competitive playing brings that. They are rushing same decks because they want only wins not enjoyement or anything. Their enjoyement stlye lies under winning. They don't care which decks they are facing, They don't care they are playing "cool" synergies or not. They only care for their win. There will be always 3-5 decks on top ladder. Do you want to enjoy the game by playing against different decks ? Don't play for a while and stay at lower ranks.
I'm also climbing first seasons of new expansions and I know how you are climbing to those 1-3 ranks. You are also grinding with those decks and you are doing that since 1st season. Don't try to fool other forum users.

Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
Tempo meta is the most boring meta you can have, the guy who starts wins if he has average better hand. he has very bad hand then maybe 2nd guy can take over, if he can not he loses. Which is the case in roughly 70% of the situations. GOod job HS! you made the game more boring than ever.. i go play something else now.
I think the meta is still good. Not the worst we have seen. (Way better than what we had during MTG).
HS usually becomes the same after 2-3 months of expansion. I think thats why Blizzard tried to keep things fresh this time by adding nerfs and buffs and cards between 2 expansions. Plus the fire festival concept this time seems amazing. Though that wont shake up the meta.
Hope the next expansion keeps the meta fresh and has multiple decks viable per class.
I'm utterly bored of mechs, mountain giants and bombs. I didn't make legend this meta but always make sure I get 5 and below but the last two seasons have been a grind as I find the meta decks dull.
Whilst Plot Twist Warlock and Elemental Dragon Shaman aren't up to scratch, they are fun to play so I've been yoyo-ing back and forth between ranks 2 and 5 with them.
Paladin, warlock and priest need some help to shake things up a bit.
The meta got shaken up a little when the last expansion came out, but at the moment i moslty see Warrior / Hunter / Rogue (like 60+% of the time), followed by Mage, Warlock and Druid ( both zoo). Basicly Hearthstone excist of 3 classes atm. So i kinda agree it bcame the most boring meta.
Also most classes have like one good list.. Other lists just lack the tools to be consistant (more then 40% WL). Heal Druid i.e is just too slow vs aggro and lacks removal vs big Minions.
I also dislike the fact they 'printed' new Elemental and Dragons, but so many (good ones) rotated out as well. So you can't build good 'themed' decks.
Most classe really lost their identity imo. Was waaay better / more clear in the early days; Rogue - Combo, Warrior - Armor / Minion self damage, Warlock - Draw, Priest - Heal, Mage - Burn / Spell(s), Druid - Ramp (this got nerved to the ground), Paladin - Buff, Hunter - Face damage / Secrets, Shaman - Totems / Overload.
I agree 100%. I think Blizzard forces specific deck archetypes for every class in every expansions. They basically create the decks for us instead of letting the players come up with creative ideas like there used to be.
I still enjoy the game but the lack of creativity in the meta has made me so from pre-ordering expansions or buying packs with real currency.
Priest is basically worthless, same oldcombo priest or miracle priest seems to be okay maybe? Warlock is bad as well because Zoo doesn't work anymore. Mage has only 1 deck with some variations. Warrior has bomb and control. Control is very very boring to play against, bomb is almost the same but a little faster. Boring. Rogue has been nerfed to oblivion but the lackey version is still viable and pretty fun to play. Same goes for the thief variant with Nomi, and pogo. Shaman is in the best position I think, with three good different decks (murloc, overload, big). Druid only has token druid which is boring. Hunter has a boring mech deck which is too strong and relies too heavily on a good hand/bad hand opponent. Midrange hunter is a little more fun but the same old shit as we've had for years. Paladin has only mechs which is a okay deck.
So I think rogue and shaman have the most fun times, all other classes are pretty damn boring.
I'm starting to think that the new metaspot involves seeing which popular gamer is streaming, wait half an hour for it to catch on and then roll with whatever fucks it up. I've not mastered the art yet but I shall!
Have you tried oour lord and saviour Tesspionage deck? Im having fun with it around rank 5 with pretty decent success. If you are interested I can post my version of the deck.
This is one of if not the most diverse metas we have seen in hearthstone since old gods tbh. Anyone thinking that this meta is boring is spoiled and clearly didn’t play back in Nax with undertaker hunter or Reno priest during Mean streets. Team 5 has been infinitely better since Witchwood and has only improved, with more patches that alter cards in two months than Brode’s team did in 4 1/2 years. People complaining on the forums about RoS meta have a lack of experience with prior standard rotations to know the difference.
