As a Reno Mage main in Wild I have had to craft shit like Tinkmaster Overspark just to have some chance. If my Kazakus Potion is lucky and I pull him on Turn 4 I just hope for Polymorph all Minions and An Other effect.
Honestly, I've seen a lot of people on these boards complain about Archmage Vargoth in big priest. But to this day I have not lost a game against big priest because of that card. I just don't see why people think he's the main culprit among other things.
Turn 3/4 Barnes losses on the other hand... hoo boy.
When Archmage gets resurrected... then resurrects himself (and depending on the spell, a bunch of his buddies) at the end of the turn, you might feel differently.
But that's the thing. I have been on the receiving end of that, multiple times actually. But that's way too slow to beat my aggro mage or kingsbane rogue. Barnes on the other hand has royally screwed me over countless times.
Lots of good suggestions, and I’ll second Mill Rogue. The combo of mills with saps and vanishes wreck their game plan. Sooooo satisfying. You have to make some hard choices about killing minions vs letting them live and taking damage. Ideally you keep their res pool empty, at least from Rags and such. You can also do he NZoth variant that can spam boards of taunts at the end and finish in fatigue.
I beat it with quest priest all the time. Entomb, psychic scream, mass dispel, shadow visions for extra copies. Don't kill their vargoth if you can't entomb/scream it, instead silence and leave it on board.
Lightbomb and mass hysteria for clears when they resurrect. Using the 2 mana lackey deathrattle you often get the "summon a random 2 drop", scream that into their deck along with some of your other low cost minions to ruin their 5/5 summons.
I include yogg in my deck for a final "last chance" if everything goes wrong. He's saved me a surprising number of times.
When I posted this tread I was stuck at rank 7-8, kept loosing to Big Priest (while they were swarming the meta).
Since I posted this thread, I decided to change my deck a little bit to a stronger early game strategy (as one of the first comments suggested), and also mulligan hard for Cat Trick.
I haven't lost to a single Big Priest since than, and that includes a turn 4 Barnes with Ragnaros the Firelord. I soared to rank 5 with a 100% win rate O_O

Spellbreaker became my friend for this job.... and a stronger opening with Cat Trick in opening hand.
You don’t. You wait for the nerfs OMEGALUL
You play til turn 4 optimally, and if they get Barnes, you start to rope. Every turn afterward.

either win or lose, both actually lose. Lose time, cause playing a match with big priest involved kills ur sanity.
PS: Play rogue with sap. big rogue and pirate kingbsane rogue is ez. also mill rogue
I do too

Quest combo priest is one deck I hope to craft one day....

Thanks for your help and thoughts!
Easy. Race them down with a face deck.
Always expect the unexpectable!
