It's not that I'm saying its OP. I'm just saying i'm tired of seeing it...
Like when the freak is Handlock going to be out of Standard??? It's beyond terrible game experience. It's been around since the dawn of time. It has to go. Good riddance....

Geez man, Allclassic and basic cards have been around since the beginning. Saying that Mountain Giant has to go because it's been around since the dawn of time is a dumb argument. This belongs to the salt thread and you belong to the ranch.
What are the tech cards that could punish your opponent for having too many cards in hand? Since the coldlight is imprisoned in HOF I can't recall an effective one.

HandLock hasn't been a thing for 3 years or more. Now that Gul'dan has been rotated the only card that resembles it is the mighty Lord J. And I have no problem with that. Just be thankful that Molten Giant has been HoF'd already, otherwise you'd have a stroke.
These things are cyclical anyway. And yes, I was a huge fan of the OG HandLock waaaay back but haven't tried the current version as I'm missing some key cards.

Azure Drake is a well balanced card for mid-game and I still dunno why they HOFed it.
Azure Drake was OP, and would still see play in every deck even everything has been powercreep'd.
Tell me if there any good statted minion with drawing card. Who is it again? That's right, Azure Drake, nobody else who can draws a card without its condition.

Handlock exists in standard only when strong healing options are available, mountan giants play a part on its success, but without any consistent healing i doubt it's here to stay
While I may or may not agree to the HOF of Mountain Giant, it is very unfun to play against if the Mage hits the perfect turns. Turn 4 Mountain Giant, then turn 5, turn them into 2 big minions with the Calling spell.
There is no counter play to this unless you are certain decks. Like Rogue will just Sap one or both of them. Brawl doesn't feel too good either because, they just Calling the minion that was remaining to create 2 more.
Shaman can't even Scheme because it hasn't had enough turns to build up.
The Giants deck reward greedy hands and greedy mulligans. And since there is no way to punish this style of play, it feels like you are at the mercy of 'did they draw the Giant and Calling spell'? If they did, they win. That is not a skill testing deck to play or play against.
Shaman has the best counter to giants other than Rogue...
Hex works but if you dont have it on turn 4, then they have 2 more more Giants on turn 5. Hex doesnt work too well after they already have these big minions in multiples.
I said Scheme, because that card can at least deal with a very wide board, especially if you don't draw the Hex in time. Scheme is your back up plan. The issue is that it takes a few extra turns to work as intended.
Literally...whenever this card gets played I just roll my eyes in disgust.
Handlock is STILL around?? Really??
Big Mage minions...cool...
Why does this game get old so quickly? Because i've been seeing the same decks since the dawn of Hearthstone...
Yawn...
Spoiled kids get bored of everything...
Go drugs man. Much better.
do you even know how HoF works???
Dead but dreaming
mountain giant isn't the problem. the create random bs cards are the problem.
They are not random. It's either a 7/8 Taunt or another Mountain Giant. That's not Random. At worst it's 50/50.
And no OP. This Thread is almost as stupid as that one that called for The Coin to be Nerfed. Almost.

Just play Warrior like everyone else and use Supercollider.

Besides, it doesn't feel the same without Azure Drake and Sylvanas Windrunner 🙄

I like elementals and totems.
To kill a tier 4 deck and the card that holds the one viable mage deck together?
No.

Zentimo and Hex is even better of course.
