For starters I have played this game since beta, I have never complained on forums ever but this new token druid just really get's me. No one likes getting fucked on round 4-6 because there aren't enough good board clears in the game anymore and if you already used 1 or 2 already then well fuck you anyway's he will summon a full board of wisps or have a summon a treant deathrattle effect and then force of nature next turn for around 20 damage to the face. You literally can't keep up unless you are playing something that counters the token druid but no one likes being forced to play a certain deck
I would love to hear from other peoples experience against this deck or even playing it, there have also been a ton of rogues and warriors that I don't mind for the most part I feel like there is actually a card game being played there(unless you get super unlucky against a rogue)
I just think that these fast OTK on round 4-6 decks or super good aggro decks are detrimental to the whole game, they require almost 0 strategy or thought and often shit on decks that actually do need strategy and actual thought.
Anyways just my thoughts on this situation, Currently sitting at rank 4 been a steady climb for the most part this new season but druid really fucking me up and I feel like I have no answer to their deck unless i'm playing control warrior. What are you're guys and girls opinions i'd love to hear them below!
token druid currently keeps me from getting the last 2 stars for legend...
i think its a super boring deck (tried it myself) and has way too much fuel with all the buff and board fill twin spells. also beats every control deck hard unless control warrior draws super nutty and the druid terrible.
This is like the 4th thread of the same thing. Token Druid like bomb warrior has its weaknessss and can be techd against. There’s currently like 3 decks that do pretty well against it. Try playing it first. There’s tough decisions to make with it just like any other deck being played. As someone who plays every archetype I don’t understand why people say one is easier or requires less thought than another. It’s just different
I have played decks that counter them as I also said in the thread "no one likes being forced playing a certain deck". And don't try telling me that face hunter for an example isn't easier than playing midrange hunter
So what nerf every deck that makes you change your tech choices or deck at the moment? This just sounds like salt. If I’m seeing a ton one type of deck and have an answer for it then enjoy your wins.
I know it's really frustrating, it makes it clearing the 1-1 wisps for an example "bad" but if you don't try you get savaged roar next turn anyways for 20 damage.. but I had some success with a really heavy control warrior deck
I don't get how this is salt, salt is just whining without any purpose or relevance. I feel like I have an actual point and I don't feel like this kind of deck is in any shape or form healthy for the game, like odd paladin was for an example look how that went, Hall of famed way early
Played it from 15-5. It's super strong, perhaps too strong. Then again it keeps bomb warrior in check...
On the 3 games I lost it was a combo of taunts and board clears. Just running board clears wasn't enough. Control shaman with a lot of clears + rain of toads seemed the only hard counter.
I honestly stopped caring about your post the moment you tried sugar coating your favorite playstyle by generalizing both OTK and aggro playstyles as being detrimental to the game.
I'll never understand the repeating threads. You could have picked any one of the three other threads, one of which is still on the first page, in which to say this.
That not withstanding, obviously token druid preys on midrange and lesser aggro decks, but what I find most interesting is how well this deck illustrates how gigantic a change this most-recent rotation represents.
The sole reason that Token Druid fell out of favor in Year of the Raven is the priest class. Priest decks were very popular, and they frequently played both Psychic Scream and Mass Dispel. The former auto wins the game if it's cast against a board of 1/1s. The latter, paired with a Duskbreaker or Mass Hysteria, erases the win conditions of the deck.
Now that we're missing these two cards from Standard, priest is arguably the MOST vulnerable class to this deck. And you know what? I love it. I love it because the nature of standard rotation schedules is that the game changes in radical ways every year.
Furthermore, I love it because Blizzard willfully raped Druid last year, and it's karmic justice that the deck many folks complain about is still Druid. If Blizzard nerfs of HoFs any more of Druid's cards, and I remind you all that relatively few of the basic/classic Druid cards haven't been "adjusted" at this point, the class will functionally be dead. Time will tell whether Blizzard will once again bend to the will of the masses.
Because of the utterly pathetic power levels of druid classic cards, they will constantly have to introduce new viable cards, or there will be no druid decks played. Consequently, every year we'll be holding our breath to see whether the devs have broken druid completely, or made it so underpowered, we may as well forget the class exists. I'm sure we'll see some of both over the next few years, but rarely will there be a third state of the class.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Who the fuck said I was a control player, and I didn't generalize OTK decks if you actually read it properly you would have known but ending games in OTK consistently at around round 5-7 is not fun for anyone. And talking about being biased when you start your reply with biased yourself
I wanted to make my own thread and get feedback and opinions at my thread, that out the way.
Just because druid wasn't the best class last year does not mean they should just get S tier deck that beats mostly every deck in the game at the moment and has been sitting at around 60% winrates
Played it from 15-5. It's super strong, perhaps too strong. Then again it keeps bomb warrior in check...

Haven't had a huge problem against bomb warrior but I get that people find it frustrating to play against, but yeah the deck feels to strong in my opinion, token druid that is
Honestly i don't find it that disgusting, never played it and will never, but every time i found one i know it's free win as it is easy to take the board early (with thief rogue)

I agree, it just feels really cheap and almost just kind of stupid to be honest
I’m curious to know which decks can counter it, and how?
Soul of the forest just overcomplicates everything and always leaves you within range of Savage Roar.

Biased control player is biased.

Im good here thanks, talking about being salty, coming here to whine about this thread and nothing else. Quite sad actually
Try tunnel blaster as a tech. Should help

Could work but at 7 mana it could be to late, worth a shot though
