I'm a dedicated control player, as such i despise netdecking aggro scum and love long games where you have to manage your ressources, fatigue ect. The darkest days for control - at least for me - where the good old Shudderwock times, where you just couldn't win as a control player against that very popular deck. Now, with the addition of Archivist Elysiana, we once again face a Shudderwock deck that under "normal" circumstances simply can't lose against control and has still plenty of tools against aggro. Elysiana is a great addition for many controlling decks and for a more balanced meta overall, but Shudderwock and his mechanic are and have been extremely unhealthy for balance so I wanted to create this post to draw a little bit more attention to this rather poorly designed Legendary that will obviously become even more obnoxious as the year of the dragon further expands the Standard set.
I also do not want to just whine about it, but instead try and find a way of sorta fixing the issue. The easiest solution would be the Hall of Fame, putting Shudderwock and his pretty "wild" effect in his fitting format, but that's very unlikely to happen. Anyone got any ideas or am I in fact the only one bothered by this already pretty long lived imbalance - we control players are in the minority after all :3

It doesn't matter. Every deck can do it with Youthful Brewmaster or Baleful Banker.
While Shudderwock can be insane, it was has been subtly nerfed by the change in Saronite Chain Gang or the rotation of Grumble, Worldshaker and the fact that there are now clear and easy ways to go infinite with it.

he despises net-decking aggro scum.....I guess everyone who plays aggro net-decks? I despise people who can't deal with the game and whine about it. Go play kickball son.
It doesn’t matter what kind of Control deck you choose, there will always be something that has an insane winrate against you. Be it Herocards that outvalue any other Control deck, burgleRouge with infinite lifesteal weapon,or Gepetto/Malygos shenanigans.
As long Blizzard gives certain classes tools to beat a normal Control deck with limited resources, you have to play these, or something else.

Well I dislike aggro players who just copy the deck they see and mindlessly go face and either win or concede by turn 7ish - sadly pretty much 70 % of players rank 5 upwards. It requires hardly any skill and also takes away the deckbuilding part of HS, which I personally both value a lot. I'm not saying that EVERY aggro player netdecks, there are rare cases of good tech cards and such. Being pretty successfull on ladder every month I can also "deal" with the game quite fine, I hope I'm still allowed to voice my opinion from a control players perspective because we are as mentioned kind of in the minority. Also - the fact that you immediately revolt and interpret my entire post as an attack on aggro players, finishing with a "savage diss" instead of maybe adding to the conversation or being constructive kinda proves my point towards aggro players (such as yourself ?) :^)
Ehm ... Control Warrior seems to be much more OP tbh, the bombless version with Hecklebot can win the game on the spot by pulling the Archivist and usually runs a Baleful Banker
Good aggro decks have to manage resources or they get worn out by control, so....????
Every aggro deck gets worn out by control if they can't decide the game at a certain (rather early) point, there aren't many valuable ressources to manage there pal - it's an aggro deck after all. For example playing around a boardclear to fill it again isn't exactly ressource management, it's common sense.
Aggro decks are some of the hardest decks to play in Hearsthone
That's flat out not true :D Aggro is the easiest to play if you take the 3 general archetypes of aggro, combo and control.
I was opening an argument about shudderwock, yet plenty of butthurt aggro players keep coming because of a little side note in my introduction. Guess you don't just play that despiseable style, you also live it^^ The argument itself was resolved 2 hours ago folks

You did start out by saying,

You have a very skewed (and wrong) view of what aggro is.

Ehr... I'm a bit confused, here. No issues with the first part (subtle nerf...), but then the last part (easy to go infinite) seems to contrast the first?

If you play face I don't respect you.
playing baleful banker for your own archivist is a solution
It doesn't matter. Every deck can do it with Youthful Brewmaster or Baleful Banker.
Huh yeah that actually kinda settles it :D
If you play face I don't respect you.
TL;DR - Another control player mad at actually having to play the game.
Solitaire is --------> that way.
Deck list? I haven't met any.

You should try aggro before you say such harsh and untrue things about it.
Shudderwock is just a good and versatile card.

Let’s face the truth here.

You already whined about it though....and here's the thing about your signature: no one really cares
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

Ohhhh so you're incapable of seeing the value in aggro as an archetype. I get it. Anything not control is dumb, lazy, etc.
I get the sense that you can't appreciate anything you don't ascribe any value, even though without aggro, control auto-loses to combo/OTK.
