I have only played with summon mage day 1 until now, many builds (giants, best x aggro, dragon, etc) got like 40-50 wins with the deck.
If u are looking for a fun deck, mage is really cool but in this actual meta (rogue, warrior, shaman murloc), summon mage is really garbage, mage dont have decent AOE, until turn 7 u are dead, blizzard is ok but for clear the bord is shit, u can use totem for heroic power but for that u need 2 cards and 5 mana, can use freeze + doomsayer (again 2 cards, and very slow).
Mage can be good in the next exp, but summon mage will be crap in this exp.
Ps: Mage now dont have a good heal for be control, (shaman got heal, dragon paladin have many, warrior have armor up)
I think what is annoying people about Bomb warrior is that it is not so much OP, but it is the most irritating deck to lose to because the game takes forever and you just inevitably get blown up by the bombs at the end. Playing against it with a slower deck is absolutely painful.
The mechs are pretty strong against slow decks because they can snowball with magnetic so you end up eating a lot of face damage as well as worrying about the bombs. Even with Archivist Elysiana its usually not enough and Bomb warriors are also running the archivist to counter other bomb warriors.
Fast decks are very good at rushing down bomb warrior which is why when the meta stabiliizes, it may turn into a SMORCfest.
I think Warrior is a fun deck but most likely to slow for the evolving aggro meta that I forsee on its way. The expansion just came out and experiments are still happening. I dont think that "bomb" warrior will be tier 1 bc remember.. you need to draw the bombs first. Maybe other warrior decks can take over but I havent tested any other than bomb. I'd give it another week before I assume what the best decks are. But, remember in order to win.. face is the place.. token druid, mech hunter, murloc shaman.. once the decks are refined we shall see
And just like that apxvoid builds a top tier dragon khadgar mage deck. You have to wait long enough for the really good deck builders to figure out the meta.
yeah, this thread really shows how first day meta doesn't mean a lot long term. Khadgar mage absolutely destroys any kind of warrior. It's looking like the strongest midrange deck in the game and anything that doesn't kill it quickly is going to get completely rolled over.

I trying to play mage since release and I can say all games vs anything else than aggro is decided for the outcome from spells like Creation and Twin, the new 2/2 legendary helps a lot too.
Warrior have everything he need now, strong 1 mana minions, exceptionally good mass removal and single removal and the hero card.
The hero card need to be HoFed or nerfed or anything, it is just too powerful when many classes don't have a hero card, it is unfair.

The mage decks don't have a change without him, by far the best card in deck, just run x2 raven to increase the odds to have him, your best bet to win vs warrior is massive board he enable, if you can do the trick twice the warrior can't handle sometimes.

the deck seems to have freeze mage level of polarisation (but opposite of freeze mage) , with high winrate vs control and very low winrate vs aggro, it's your call just be warned and don't expect blasting through everything.

My personal opinion is yes but I can't say that is a fact. It might fall out of favor but to me it seems like it should stay. It gives deathrattle hunter levels of explosive board generation, in a meta that is much less equip to deal with it. Slow/midrange decks just can't deal with that.

You can easily beat warriors without Khadgar in my experience Khadgar is great for sure but Conjurer's Calling is the real MVP. them being twinspell means you just keep making boards that they can't deal with. I'ts cube levels of power, imo. Control warrior has a chance if you don't get your key cards and they do but bomb warriors are free wins.
Give it time. Mages will find a tier 1 or a deck that can at least compete with Warrior
I am having success with my Big Hand Mage right now 7-5 against Bomb Warriors (the times I have lost is when I don't get Earth Elementals early enough and/or die to bombs lol)
Well it does a great job of tracking matches and is pretty spot on with stats so don't see why you would 'lawl' someone referring to something that is pretty valid.
>Posts a pick of average class win rates >Claims Mages are dead without looking at individual decks
IMO once the meta settles again and the early expansion aggro dies down Mage will be solid. Sticking a Giant on turn 5 and then playing khadgar and conjurers calling on turn 6 pretty much ends the game most of the time

Control Mage is dead this expansion "no healing", some form of aggro Mage probably works however with the new low cost spells.
Mage is garbage now. Rot in hell 😡😡👹👹👹

*top 3 classes are the ones with hero cards*
WHAT A SURPRISE.
Your knowledge of hearthstone resembles that of your punctuation.
how many days are we into the expansions again?
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Also: people who use HSReplay as gospel

I picked mage as my get 500 wins class before this expansion. I think I chose poorly...
Fun decks, terrible win rates.
As bad as bomb warrior is, infinite/fatigue warrior is worse. Just had 35+ minute game. Blech.

So Khadgar is worth crafting then?
