This stream in particular was terrible. It takes MAYBE 2 hours to play a few games on a non-developers computer to test new card interactions to assure they work properly.
Didn't they say they were playing on a presentation client with all sorts of limitations in place to prevent unwanted leaks?
That doesn't make it ok to not test the interactions they want to show but would mean the interactions work as intended but were not unlocked on that client.
Fuck i didn't even know that there was a stream tonight. If it was so terrible i will definetaly watch right now!I enjoy dumpsterfires!
It was really painful to watch, are you a masochist? :D
Holy shit you are right, just 5 minutes in and i skipped 35minutes...damm this is unfapp..eh unwatchable indeed. I hoped it would be hilarious because bugs and missplays but this is fucking boring as well! It's so bad and the unenjoyable kind of bad!Shame!
Lol, i wish i could have skipped as well. I mean i don't mind a streamer taking his time, but 45 minutes for 2 games and like 10 new cards is just the wrong time to card ratio. I personally muted the stream and just peaked in every 5 minutes to see the new cards. I don't even care about missplays or buggy stuff, but the speed was just so agonizing xD
1- Cards not adding lackeys to the player's hand when they should (super embarrassing).
2- Cora Georgiou is a terrible Hearthstone player.
3- Super annoying talk (much more than usual), especially thanks to this lady, Cora Georgiou.
4- Not even a funny moment (at least none yet).
5- Roping almost every single turn.
Ok, the stream hasn't ended yet, but it is so bad I'm feeling sorry for Peter Whelen. :P It is really hard to continue watching it, feels like torture...
What are your thoughts, people?
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! I didn't know who Cora was before this stream, and I have zero clue why she was choosen, she is a DOG SHIT player! They should of gotten Hafu or Alliestraza! I've been saying for ever, get a good female player that's easy on the eyes! It should only be 2 people talking about cards the most. I hate Peter Whalen with a burning passion, he's this frail little geek who sucks his teeth when he laughs, I just can't stand him and looking at him talk makes me wanna barf. That community manager couldn't speak and was tripping over his words, it really breaks my heart and I miss the days of Ben Brode! We didn't even know how great we had it with him being behind the scenes at Hearthstone.
I had a feeling things were buggy because this expansion feels kinda out of sorts with how long the tease was lasting. I liked the decks they showed off, and some cards got me really excited! I just wish they would of got a player who knew her ass from a hole in the ground!
It was defenitely not the best stream but Cora is actually a very good player who gets high Legend if she wants.
She even won almost the female only tournament coupple months ago. Maybe she was just nervous .
I did actually liked the girl but they ropes every turn and missed a lot of attacks and such because of unnecessary talking. Also that lacky thing was embarrasing
It's like they sat down and planned how to make the stream as annoying as humanly possiible. Long outdrawn unfunny jokes, roping every turn, misplays almost every turn, mechanics not working. Why not just give us 10 minutes of pre-recorded footage of the new cards in play? What an absolute mess.
I won't complain about the people in the stream. The bad part, the really bad part, of the stream was that it take 2 hours for showing 12 cards and play 5 games but not 5 decks. Also the bugs were kind of a shame for a company that big and experienced.
For the future I would prefer to see a 30 minutes showcase of 10-15 cards (1 per class and some neutrals) with a bit of gameplay (entrance and interactions of the cards).
Big reminder that the people that watch this streams know well what do the new mechanics, casuals won't ever see a sowcase stream, so pls scape the explanation part next time, blizz.
I feel like Blizzard doesn't know how to replace the popular community figures that have left the company or moved on to other games. They are trying to use devs and other people to plug the gaps, but it isn't working. Cora is a reasonable B tier caster, but she is not right for a preview stream.
I am missing the emotions! Cora tried her best but she is not a professional. Day9/Kibler/Kripp/AMAZ would be a lot better I liked the Showmatches Amaz with those Guys because AMAZ reaally wanted to win and that created emotions (He was a bad winner in those matches).

if Cora is not a professional then I don't know what your definition of professional is
she's been a caster for years and has to be up to date with everything that happens in the meta as otherwise they would just get rid of her and hire someone who can keep up

She is a nice girl and she tried her best but i think other people would be better for the job. My impression is she didnt aquire yet the skills to present things interestingly.

I didn't hear anything about a presentation client, but honestly, I was blanking out half the time waiting for them to play a card....
But even if it was, they could have tested on the client computer and then, seeing that it didn't work, PREPARE themselves and have Chakki load a Lackey into their hand as he started doing anyway! I mean for a billion dollar company this was pretty pathetic!
I couldn't care less about the lackeys not working, given (1) they were able to add lackeys when appropriate, and (2) they're playing on a dev build. Should that mechanic have been working? Of course, but not really that big of a deal.
Peter is pretty awesome. His excitement for the game is contagious imo. That said, they're still clearly looking for a card reveal stream format that works. This one didn't. Way too few cards revealed given the length of the stream. Chris added literally nothing. Cora was fine but I think they can do better.

We knew in advance that they were going to reveal 12 cards, and the stream has always lasted about an hour, so I don't know what else people could reasonably expect as far as time to card ratio.

As a developer, I laugh and give them a pass on the Lackey bug. Having dealt with that throughout my life, I can just give a knowing smile.
But yeah, it was rough. Day9 roped and made bad plays, but at least he was funny. I understand having to talk about the cards when a new one comes up, but stop roping on turns when there's nothing of note on the board or in the hand. Cora's personality was fine, but having to ask the developer what she should do each turn was frustrating.
They need to have someone who's good at the game make quick plays when there's not anything in hand to talk about, and be entertaining and interesting to listen to when there is something of note. Stick to a pro who can communicate, and keep it moving.
I understand they are trying new formats and people for the stream, so hopefully they'll get it right eventually. Sometimes I wonder if playing live games is the right way to do this.

What a joke... If you are going to talk about something, at least check your facts. Stream lasted almost two hours.
Worst Hearthpwner ever? ;)

probably the worst but definitely the most annoying to watch
this community manager guy was horrendous (can't stand cora either), more pathetic was some cards not working
what are they even doing with a whole year of development?
counting money i guess...
She is a nice girl and she tried her best but i think other people would be better for the job.

It was bad from a purely technical perspective alone, but the dumb plays and uninteresting dialogue didnt help.
I hope they learn to not do reveal streams on early on Monday after this.

It was over two hours long. Not one hour.
