I hope other communities are less bitchy about streams. I mean, wtf guys. Padge has right too. Someone below said "Every reveal stream is the worst ever" and with so many people in this community is also so true. It's always bad. When I read some people on chat it was horrible. Even before they started. Most ppl want some games not only revela few cards. When they said they will play 5 games many ppl was boring. Man, wish this community would be more adult.
Well 'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that reveal streams have been getting worse and worse over time.... C'mon it's not hard! People want less talk and more cards,it's as easy as that... All you need to do is get someone like Kibler that will overreact to anything involving new cards and that's it... If you add some flashy cards like Yogg or Kazakus it's even better... Is it really that hard to understand?
I mean, it wasn't great, and the lackey situation (plus the freeze because of it) were very embarrassing.
But to be honest, they are a video game and not a video production company. The technical issues to me are much more worrying than the quality of the stream otherwise.
Also, I thought Whalen is getting more comfortable in front of the camera, songbird was ok, not as (awkwardly) funny as Day9, not as chatty as Regis, all in all, decent. I guess I'd prefer someone like Trump or Dane, but that's just my taste. The other guy seems like a nice dude, actually reminds me a lot of my old room mate, but he has not stage presence. Also just my personal opinion.
About the cards, I like most of what I see, and more importantly, I like what they are trying to do with this expansion. We just celebrated five years of Hearthstone, they reached 100 million accounts, so I think a little throw back, a little nostalgia as a not towards the players who remember the original Dr 7 is more than ok. And, in my opinion, they are doing a decent job to not reprint, but put a subtle twist on those old cards.
The big questions, as always, are a) is the quality going to be ok (and that's where the reveal has me worried, just from a technical point of view), and b) is it going to be balanced. So far, Rogue looks strong, the rest more meh, but we'll see. Too early to judge.
All in all I like what I see content wise, and I am willing to forgive awkwardness in advertisement, as long as it isn't obvious that marketing was not the only department they tried to save money on.
I only saw 3 of the kick off streams and all of them were bad in their own way. This one was the horrible. They should of just kept it to 2 people playing so the conversations were shorter and the introduction to a minimum. For most of all us, we just want to see more cards. The bugs were annoying too.
Fuck i didn't even know that there was a stream tonight. If it was so terrible i will definetaly watch right now!I enjoy dumpsterfires!
Even with such a positive attitude, jainaishot, believe me, you're not going to enjoy it. But I'm not going to stop you, just watch it and tell me later about how terrible it was for you. ;)
Fuck i didn't even know that there was a stream tonight. If it was so terrible i will definetaly watch right now!I enjoy dumpsterfires!
It was really painful to watch, are you a masochist? :D
Holy shit you are right, just 5 minutes in and i skipped 35minutes...damm this is unfapp..eh unwatchable indeed. I hoped it would be hilarious because bugs and missplays but this is fucking boring as well! It's so bad and the unenjoyable kind of bad!Shame!

it's so much less painful when you can just skip huh.. I watched it live :(
Well the people presenting the reveal stream aren't good entertainers and imo, feeling bad for Peter Whalen because filling Ben's shoes is impossible. Cora is kinda boring never heard of her, when they spoke about Tournament commentary i still didnt know her, i think most people watch other streamers than commenters. Why doesn't Blizz solve this with a survey which Content Creator we want to see to present the reveal stream in advance. I personally love the Omnislash guys (emphasis on guys here LUL) but that's just me and the irony bashing on Kibler for burning one card gets her a shitstorm from the community.
Technical issues with the lackeys is embarrassing but it happens , fortunately there is the cheat codes to add the lackeys to the hand.
Well played Hearthstone i hope the "Remaining Card Dump Stream" will be better.
Kibler, ike, firebat, zalae, even frodan is ok, if they did it with any of then it would be great! (yeah laugh about kibler, korra! you aren't even a good avatar)
They don't know their audience too well it seems we want content fast.. great fun games without bugs
Oh Brode.... why did you have to leave us, it hurts my soul, his laugh made us all watch the stream even if the games were boring(but they did not, not always like this one god damn). I still like hs team, our expectation with the streams are high cuz we had brode by our side, last time we had kibler (I think..??) and this time we just had 1 decent guy(the one next to the girl forgot his name* on the couch) and the other 2....meh but that girl, she was ok but talked waaay to much. 1 Up Vote = 1 second of Brode laughing XDD
Look all, this is a BILLION dollar company. I understand that they are a video game company and not a production company, but give me a break!
This stream in particular was terrible. It takes MAYBE 2 hours to play a few games on a non-developers computer to test new card interactions to assure they work properly.
In all honesty, if you can't have your production up to snuff or at least MINIMALLY test your product before showing it to your customers then just show us the cards. I would have been absolutely fine just seeing the cards and not wasting an hour watching this epic fail of a stream.
Sorry about being harsh here, but again, a BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY!!!
100% aweful, and ppl thought day9 was bad ! she roped, misplayed, jammed some shit without thinking and the 5 games were useless. Paladin and warlock didnt show anything. A reveal for 12 cards which none are amazing for my personal taste.
1- Cards not adding lackeys to the player's hand when they should (super embarrassing).
2- Cora Georgiou is a terrible Hearthstone player.
3- Super annoying talk (much more than usual), especially thanks to this lady, Cora Georgiou.
4- Not even a funny moment (at least none yet).
Ok, the stream hasn't ended yet, but it is so bad I'm feeling sorry for Peter Whelen. :P It is really hard to continue watching it, feels like torture...
What are your thoughts, people?
OMG you totally misspelled "indie"!
Worst forum post ever? Small indie commenter confirmed.
Actually, OP just has small brain.
Maybe, who knows, but mr. TardisGreen, do you realise the size of your brain doesn't make you stupid or intelligent?
Your comment is so full of ignorance... C'mon, bro, please, stop with this!!! LOL. XD
According to your reasoning, kids with very high IQ (more than that of an average grown up person) don't exist, LOL. XD
I completely agree with these points. To people saying that you can just 'not watch the stream' I say, that's true - but consider the fact that people are excited to get home and see new cards being revealed by the people who should be most passionate about them. People really look forward to these, they're allowed to feel disappointed by things.
Peter Whalen was the only remotely good thing about an otherwise incredibly poor reveal stream - and I agree, I think this is by far the worst Hearthstone reveal stream ever. I am excited for the Rise of Shadows expansion but I feel this reveal stream was one of the worst things to show the fans. Now I understand that technical problems arise, and I think they all did a good job of calmly dealing with the bugs involving the Lackey mechanic, but the main problem was just how boring it was to watch. I loved seeing the new cards, but I should be feeling excited after watching the stream. The constant roping was just unbearable, I felt like shouting at my screen 'just play your f**king cards!'. It was incredibly frustrating to watch two people I've never seen before, boring me to death and I even decided to skip forward a few seconds every once in a while just to keep the pacing pleasant to watch.
One of them at the start made the excellent point that this expansion is a brilliant time for new players to get into Hearthstone, but I can't help but imagine how awful their first experience with the game must be if it's this stream.
I'm not even going to bother talking about how Cora was generally a poor choice for this stream, but she was also one of the contributing problems I had with the stream.

How do you have a stream for only 3 classes WTF??

Missing lethal since February 2014.
Good thing that I missed it lol. That's what happens, when you don't invite some charismatic community-oriented people like Kibler/Brode/Day7.
