Nomi is not a card you can just build a deck around. Playing Nomi once your deck is empty does not guarantee a win. So that leaves it as a last ditch effort in a control deck, something you have to try and finish off the game in long games that go down to fatique. That means that in all other games it's a pretty dead card or at best an inferiorly statted card.
You can shuffle this into your deck with banker or other shuffle cards,
I dont like this card, I dont want to get this card, I dont want to build a deck with this card BUT I am 100% sure I will either get it as a golden legendary from the preorder bundle or within my first 10 packs. Just like I got Cho, Nat, Mukkla on all 3 regions.
because you either build a deck around it and get dicked by AoE or you just throw it into a control deck as a lategame win condition and end up with a dead card in a lot of matchups.
Maybe it will see play in Rogue just because of Unstable Element, but even then it'S probably not that great.
Nomi is kinda boardcontrol alternative to Mecha'tun, not a part of the archetype. Just never believe streamers, they are allways bad in preexp analytics.
I think this might just be a great card for a shuffle rogue deck. With the new spell(Toggwagle scheme), combined with Lab Recruiter, Augmented Elekk and Myra's unstable element it could prove to be worth it. But lets first wait to announce all the new cards...

might be good in Holy Wrath Paladin?
And how will you shuffle it ?
You can't use baleful banker or any other minion because Nomi will fill the board and you can't play another minion. If you use Togwaggle's Scheme then you will have multiple Nomis in the deck which means they are inactive when you draw them.

Agree, but sometimes you can banker it if you had minion on board which you could trade. In rogue you can use shadowstep
If your opponent is strange enough to play Mass Hysteria or Hagatha's Scheme then the Naomi player can just emote angerily and concede at least.
Edit: We will see Naomi and Shudderwock few times from Arch-Villian Rafaam. Though it's not the win condition to rely on that RNG combo to go off, someone will make a video of it working.
Technically you can run it in control deck in control vs control matchup but it depends on the meta and I doubt that it'll be heavy control meta especially if hunter will be as good as he is right now.
I think there's a chance Chef Nomi could end up really strong actually. Probably in a Myra's Unstable Element rogue deck. A rogue that can cast Chef Nomi and then shadowstep x2 to cast it two additional times for just 5 mana each time will be extremely powerful. Think about it, what spells that will still be in standard can deal with a board of 6/6's? The only ones I see are Twisting Nether for warlock, Mass Hysteria for priest, equality combos for paladin, Hagatha's Scheme if it's been upgraded enough, and brawl for warrior. So, to be fair, that is five answers for five different classes. But even if you clear the first wave there will be two more incoming, and a single wave left unanswered will most likely spell defeat as that's a lot of damage on board. The key will be in if there's a way for rogue to reach that state of the game reliably.
I was thinking the same everyone at the minute doesn’t realise how dangerous a board like that is once we take out AOE after rotation ( Dragon’s fury, Vulcano, Scream Meteor ecc) so even shadow stepping Nomi one time could leave your opponent without an answer..
If you have empty deck you want to play Mecha'Thun and kill him and not fill your board! It's counterproductive to play him when you need to clear your hand and your board.
I also think that this card might be good,we have to take in consideration that the meta we know, will have a huge change,No ungoro kotft and no knc. So yea, try to think about it that way. :D

That is basically it, this just speculation. Nobody knows what blizzard is going to print, Id say the card has potential but will most likely not meta defining.
Easy board removal, won't last, fatigue will kill you.
Yep easily removed, now how many aoe can clean this board, psychic scream rotates, etc. Dragon's fury, twisting nether, mass hysteria stays but your opponent has to keep one of his aoe for your nomi and maybe lose to all your previous threats. How many classes can play until fatigue, warrior & druid thanks to armor, mage and warlock with lifesteal thanks to dk jaina and guldan, they all rotate, after the rotation not a lot of classes will be able to handle the fatigue damage. So yes, nomi will be very niche. Here comes myra's. When you play myra you don't care about fatigue since your goal will be to close the game the turn you cast it or in the next 2 turns.
If you don't have nomi in your hand and 15 cards in your deck, instead of having 1/15 the chance to draw nomi, myra's increases your chances to draw nomi, 1/2 or even 2/3 the chance to draw nomi if your hand is empty, insane.
Agreed. The 2 suggested decks in this thread are not where this card will be played.
For myacle rogue. Drawing myra's is already the highroll situation. And Nomi is a dead card otherwise.
The only place I can see this card being useful is control vs control fatigue battles. Honestly it looks too niche to see real play.
myra's doesn't give you the win, it highly increases the chance to draw the card you need, a sap, eviscerate or a leeroy for example. So if you put myra's in your deck you also need to include some cards that can close a game. That's why myra's sucks so much in odd rogue :
Odd rogue only has leeroy to close the game while pirate rogue has more cards sap, eviscerate, southsea deck hand, leeroy, faldorei, spiders etc. Hence nomi will be insane in this deck, bringing you a huge board with only one card.
Because everyone thinks this card as a slot in a control deck. If your goal is to empty your deck or reach fatigue better build your deck around mechathun => empty deck => win instead of waiting 1 turn to hit face with nomi.
However nomi will be insane in an aggro rogue deck, you hit face, your opponent will spend all his removals on your threats, then when you don't have any card left, myra's => nomi => game over Even if you don't have nomi in your hand, in most cases myra's will pull it from your deck Rogue is the only class to have a reliable way to empty its deck every game thanks to myra's
How does the Rouge reliably draw Myra's? How bad is Nomi if Myra's is not drawn? You should spend a bit of time pondering these questions.

Mecha'thun was also considered trash, but it ended up being a serious threat in the meta.
Nomi is not necessarily OTK, but his condition is also much weaker.
Surely one does not build a deck with Nomi as main wincondition.
But i bet he will be played as secondary wincondition in some draw-heavy non-OTK decks.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

Feel like Mechathun, Hakkar,Toggwaggle, Dragoncaller Alanna or Boommaster Flark + Feign Death does it better. But of course most of those combos are going to WIld so who knows...
Many of the Counters are going to Wild. Dragon's Fury and Psychic Scream are in any case.

Not sure if hyped yet.
What if Blizzard release a card with the ability to retrigger battlecries?
Technically you can run it in control deck in control vs control matchup but it depends on the meta and I doubt that it'll be heavy control meta especially if hunter will be as good as he is right now.
Thats what Inspire is for, too bad they stopped making it.

People seem not to know how myra's works.
