earlier today I downloaded the patch, and I was excited to try out the smart deck helper, but it was exactly the same. I made like 6 decks all from different classes, and it was all the same. the same minion build with Zombie Chow, Mecharoo, Plated Beetle, Lone Champion, Green Jelly, and Violet Wurm. I have heard other people got good, somewhat creative decks.
has anyone else had this problem? and do you know what to do?
Try putting a key minion into your deck first. A person tried it with Druid and put King Togwaggle in one and Mecha'thun in the other. Both decks prepared were almost identical to their net-deck versions.

The reason that happened is because you were trying to make a wild deck.
Here is the official response from blizzard.
Regarding the deck completer in Wild…
This feature is currently disabled in the Wild format, but this was unfortunately left out of the patch notes. (We’re adding it!)
There are plans to add smart deck builder support for Wild in the future, but no ETA to share yet

My deck helper creates something very close to top hsreplays.net decks, considering I don't have part of the cards. So I think it works fine in my case. I performed only couple of test though.

All cards are balanced, but some cards are more balanced than others.
Net decking built into the game. Hmmmm. Well, I suppose it's good for new players. I forgot about this feature as I don't use it. So this is the thing for me. Doing a deck builder that is terrible is pointless, why bother having the feature, if its going to add non synergistic or terrible cards?
On the other end, if its always going to build the latest metagame decks, then the player doesnt get to experiment or play around with new cards either.
So I think I want to see it in action first, but IF all this leads to is Blizzard supporting meta decks in their UI, then I don't think I like it.
I like it for the 'pick a card' and make me a fun deck aspect though.
I literally just hit priest to try out the new hero reskin (yes I shamefully preordered the mega bundle) and made the deck builder whip something up. What I got was an almost identical copy of a netdeck gallery priest.
Lol, now people do not even need to google for decks, great job, Blizzard...
I was thinking about the same thing, but then I got a druid quest (and I don't play druid), put a mecha'chtun in it, auto filled, and got my gold after a couple of tries. Fast and simple.
I think that nothing will beat the lists created by pros or brilliant home-brews, but the risk is that, if the system is designed to analyze and emulate the most-winning decks using Blizzard's own data, this will bring a flatter meta at lower ranks. But at the same time it's the same thing VS and other websites are doing.
So at the end of the day I don't know what my point of view is, but self-learning machines scare me when it comes to deck creation!! :O
My card collection is pretty thin, but I put Oondasta and Akali, the Rhino in a warrior deck and told the game to build something around them. I ended up with a pretty fun tempo deck, and in my first game I managed to beat some scumbag who was playing odd paladin in casual. All in all, I was impressed.
Mostly it seems to work. Got some weird results though.
For example I added captain hooktusk and kelseleth to a deck the got it to autocomplete. The deck included only 1 corpsetaker. Despite including all the cards to make corpsetaker work.

Wonder if they are using decks with small play samples or something. So selecting based partly on luck.
Edit: Just tried a blank deck with hunter and got spell hunter... No way is that better than midrange hunter now spellstone is nerfed.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
I think it's gonna get updated after the expansion hits
They were saying it will need some time to 'learn'.

I found that it doesn't work for the wild format very well. However in Standard, it gives the highest winrate deck.
I did that with barnes, y'shaarj, and masters call. but then it just came out the exact same build.

Haven't you read Bee's post yet?

It made me a pretty good Secret Paladin here. Just from scratch.
Will try other decks later

Doesn't work in Wild. Otherwise works great in standard. Makes you a meta deck each and everytime or as close as it can.
