Remember in Diablo 2 how you could "express hostility" towards another player? Then duel them?
I propose a similar mechanic in Hearthstone.
It would work like this:
1. Player BM's you, making you angry
2. Game ends
3. In the friend menu, "Express hostility!" is available against your most recently played opponent
4. He gets a notification if you click the button: "PlayerName has expressed hostility towards you!"
5. He can accept the challenge, or decline
6. If he accepts, you wait in the main menu until his game is finished (or vice versa)
7. If he declines, who's the bitch now?
8. Once the active game has ended, the client automatically enters you into the duel screen
9. You choose a deck as you normally would and engage in battle
With this mechanic, it would no longer matter if he suggested you enjoy the indulgence of homogeneous fornication, or that your gene pool is diluted by alcohol and incest.
Just beat him in a game.
Side note: You would not be able to add players as friends while they were hostile.
Interesting idea, but I see it as epeen contest that would simply revolve a form of counter-bming by trying to counter queue the deck you opponent beat you with.
There's not much intelligence or skill shown when you just get revenge using a more favorable deck for an easy win.
I like the concept, however it may not be very useful to people who only want to play ranked because you would certainly only be able to play a casual match afterwards. I don't think they would implement a feature that lets you bypass matchmaking.
Having a rematch is a nice idea - however the idea of it being intentionally "hostile" doesn't really sit very well. HS is already struggling with flaming and salty players after a match. I don't think Blizzard would want to encourage that sort of feeling between players.

The "challenged" player would be aware of this tactic and be able to choose any deck from his list, though. The challenger could get counter-countered.
I like the idea. But I would give it a different name. To battle your recent opponent, no matter why (salt or pepper) and off ladder, is nice. Extra button „challange recent opponent“ ?
Good question, if the players are supposed to use the same deck or have a free choice. Good idea OP.
Such a terrible idea, Blizzard would never do something like this. Why? Because they would never admit they promote BMing in any way. Don't you know how people react to this things, OP? Seriously, do you live under a rock or what? This would be one of the worst decisions Team 5 could ever make considering their target audience at the moment.
I think something along the lines of a "rematch" idea could be good. Sometimes you just want to have another shot because of RNG or draw or making a misplay and never recovering.
I'm not sure how it would work out if you're waiting for a rematch and they're playing a fatigue warrior build and take 30 minutes per game on average, but maybe creating a queue in which you can even choose to pony up rank or gold or arcane dust to incentivize your opponent could be a great way to balance out tilt. If you're willing to rematch that person AND put up something of value like 50-100 gold or 200 dust, you can't complain if they win again, because you literally bet that you could win. No blaming random matchmaking for that loss.
Also, obviously I think the mechanic should be limited to losing players. Winners don't need a second chance.
Lastly, I think a wager system between people on your friends list could be great, so long as Blizzard managed to keep players from playing themselves and using dummy accounts to store up gold/dust and purposefully lose it to their main account.

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Talk is cheap.

I like the idea! Blizzard would call it a rematch feature, but I see your point!
It's a really great idea, but I don't think Blizzard wants to associate themselves with Diablo anymore lmao. But seriously, it is a really good idea.
That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
Or just call it rematch and not add in something called "hostility" as that's not fun.
I feel like "rematch" implies you'd be using the same decks, which was not my intention. Thoughts?
Maybe just call it "revenge" or something like Clash of Clans does

I will just decline every challenge and probably opponents will get even more desperate.
This would be a cool feature but you would have to make it at least best of three.
Otherwise both players will just try to hard counter what ever deck you played before and the whole thing will be a rock/paper/scissor emulator :D
If you BM'd you and it made you angry to where you want to duel, (which you just did) where in this duel you will likely get BM'd again?
Am I missing something?
I think being able to add friend your latest opponent is already ridiculous. Interaction between players should be minimized
Haha, good one.
Petition for Jaina's boobs to return please. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
WTF?
Socializing isn't one of your strongest points, isn't it?
This game needs to be more social oriented, not the other way around...

Well i would definately enjoy this feature so i could spamm even more in the rematch!

Same. I reject every salt request.
