Most likely the next expansion and the first expansion of 2019 will be called "Villains of the Violet Hold" or something along those lines. With all the teaser videos it almost feels like torture waiting for any information about the cards or themes about this expansion. Why though? Well, I think because they are selling single player content again along with card packs they are trying a new marketing strategy to get this expansion so hyped and anticipated, that when they start to really tell us info about it we just lose our minds and our wallets! This however, is a grave mistake.
Any time a game is over hyped, it almost always never lives up to the expectations. Unless your name is Nintendo, or a very small group of dev's you aren't living up to your own hype. Activision Blizzard always disappoints, and this over hyping is going to leave a very sour taste in lots of people's mouths. Let's think back to last Blizz-con where the big Blizzard reveal was a Diablo mobile game, that level of hatred and anger burned my finger tips off my keyboard!
All I'm saying friends is have some reasonable levels of cynicism about this next expansion and don't expect the holy grail of expansions. This expansion will also probably cost us more money than ever before as well as a whole. Thoughts and comments below please.
Personally, no more hype for this than any other expansion. The hype might start to build once we actually know something, but right now I'm just curious what they are going to do next since it's a new rotation.
Besides, I find these teasers kinda boring tbh. Show me a real trailer!
I mean the teasers are just that, teasers. We don't even know the name of the expansion yet, so before saying it's overhyped I need to view something connected to the exp itself. These teasers are for the story that will be told in the next 3 expansions and solo adventure, not the first one only.
I honestly haven't seen over-hype for this. They're certainly laying out more information than ever before about the solo content, including its depth of not just replayability, but the lore they're creating that will span the entirety of 2019's solo content.
The only people I've seen overhyping this are fans who are speculating on things like "What will Dr. Boom's new card be?" We don't even know if any of these villains will have cards in this expansion; these have been solo content trailers/teasers.
The PvP content of the expansion has yet to be teased at all. I think that's where we'll see the typical hype train, but for now, everyone is excited about the PvE adventure, that's all.

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
How can you feel hate and anger over a game dude?? Chill out little bit...
I don't feel any of those things, it's just the trickle of info is driving me crazy with anxiety because I just want to know already!
Christ. Read your post. "Grave mistake," "sour taste," "hatred and anger," "everyone should be cynical." If you didn't mean any of it, delete your post.
It is being over-teased, without giving us anything to be hyped about. they should have shown the name and main thematics is they wanted us to be hyped about it.
Tsk Tsk Tsk, My friend, people are not "overhyping" it. This has been a part of HS for a long time ( not the teasers, but the cards that get revealed). These teasers hype people like leaks in the past would. And please understand that people always hype cards before they get revealed, ALWAYS. I was once a young fledgling who also hyped every card, but since K&C i have resigned myself to evaluate cards based on reality. Overall this post of yours is anything but helpful. Fledglings ( new players) and enthusiast will always hype up expansions and cards, they like to do it, leave them be. Meanwhile veterans ( since beta or wotog) know all of this. The teasers themselves are nothing more than novelty. Something to have us theorize potential things before the real reveal. How you consider this "overhyping" is well beyond me. After all, we did ask for such teasers in the past.
TLDR; New players will always hype up new stuff ( hs related), and they enjoy it, so why bother them. And veterans know all of this already. So dont worry, no one will be overly dissapointed in the end.
What is the point of this thread? It's up to you if you let hype ruin your perception of the next expansion and I've personally felt 0 hype whatsoever. This expansion hasn't been hyped up more then other expansions and when you've been playing long enough each expansion doesn't feel that hype. Only a new game mode or whatnot would actually generate hype for me.
Omegalul, zero cards announced, even no announce about Addon only teasers about singleplayer and already salty post about overhype.
Maybe, we will wait what it will be and not posting sh*t about: "you all overhype something" that's not 100% sure, it s maybe not Dalaran (it is, but it's just theory!)
No way! More content comes out and the game gets more expensive?! OP you are a visionary. Dude you are so angry over something that you just made a random rage post and reached for the most barely feasible argument. The solo content is OPTIONAL, there is way more to gain by just spending money on packs if you don't care about solo content. God forbid a company decides to spread their focus more than just the competitive scene. Hearthstone's new content will likely create a nice reprieve from spamming "play" every five minutes and going up and down 3-5 stars. Why don't you just sit back and relax and let the trailers and reveals do the talking? Make a decision in 3 weeks not before anything even gets announced...

They've released one single multi-part trailer for the expansion. And it's not even finished yet either.
If that's your idea of "over -hype"....

My fanmade expansion! (Click on pack to open packs with my cards)
It would be only overhyped if they release two cards and people start saying best expansion ever.
Why

So your arguments can be summed up as follows:
Never once did you talk about Hearthstone.
Kaladin's RoS Set Review
Join me at Out of Cards!
Reveal/hype season is my absolute jam, so I'm right there with you. I can't wait until they start the card reveal schedule up in a week or two!

Next thing you know they will make HS for mobile too ;/

Why are people so impatient ? it is just two weeks, do something else till they release the expansion.
