Every video contains clues to what the next expansion is going to be and part of the fun is figuring out what it is, making a bet with some friends, and then cashing out on it because you won.
Would I love to see a trailer and cards? Hell yeah I would. This is just a part of the process though and it's a hell of a lot better than having no news at all. Remember, if these teasers didn't exist you would just have a couple of weeks of emptiness, it doesn't meant they'd release all the info earlier.
If it's not your thing though, it's pretty easy to just not watch them ^^
All we really learned here is that Flux has a gambling problem ;)
I know it's hard to please everyone, but except for the inevitable trolls, I don't think it's impossible. Maybe Blizzard should have done something else than just showing us some teasers. Yeah, I understand why they are interesting and fun for many, but the truth is they are not for everyone.
I’m 100% with you op, this whole thing sucks. Still no actual trailer or any card reveal, just some cringy teaser videos with recycled characters that are not even 1 year old. If they are appearing in new expansion then oh boy.. this exp is going to suck so much.
Man, we are seriously running out of things to complain about - if you can't watch a 30 second teaser for an expansion reveal without feeling like Blizzard has somehow betrayed you, I just don't know where to go from there, lol.
Yes, they can't just put the actual announcement in since, ,well, otherwise they would.
But the idea is that they could've teased something more about the expansion. Like how for GvG we had articles about some portal that was being played with and people were getting diagrams of some machine.
The trailers hinted at a return of the evil folks we met in the past few expansions. That's interesting. But perhaps they could've hinted at the mechanic involved or something about the plot itself or a hint at where it's happening. Basically differnet hints about different aspects of the expansion/adventure.
That I think is what many are talking about, and it's a valid issue.
The folks who "just want to release already" have the mistaken impression that Blizzard is delaying the announcement in order to give these teasers. To THEM "its' this or nothing" applies.
Alternative would be longer gaps with no communication. They aren't delaying the release info and doing these instead, they are doing these in addition and it gives people a fun chance to speculate. If you don't like the teasers then don't watch them.
Definitely don't think that if they didn't have these trailers they would announce cards earlier, because they wouldn't.
They hype train isn't for everyone, feel free to get off at any station.
One can always rely on the hearthpwn community to denegrate the poster rather than to argue the point.
I happen to agree with the OP that these teasers are largely a waste of time. They don't really give me any reason to be excited about the expansion exactly because they say so little about it.
Anyone who thinks these teasers are stupid is a savage and an idiot.....idiot savages. but in all seriousness these teasers have been great I've never been more hyped for an expansion/rotation.
Second teaser. "Okay, nice to see a lot of people theorycrafting. It's still getting me hyped. The next update better be the new expansion announcement"
I am like you, I am not hyped at all. But I can understand that others are excited about them...the anticipation....the build up till the climax...I get it. Just let them enjoy it...no use spoiling it. I am just patiently waiting to see the cards. All this announcement/teaser ritual is a well oiled blizzard machine that pushes you to rush for the pre-purchase. It's a good marketing strategy, probably worked well for them in the past and they are, understandably, going for it again. Once we see all the cards, I will be able to theorycraft some decks...now this is something that could be exciting...depends on how good the cards will be.

This. No point in getting interested/excited before full release of cards for me but, if someone else is, well, I certainly don't wanna ruin it for him...

I'm not a fan of my own posts
I have to agree with the OP.
One teaser is cool. The 1st one with the Fortune Teller from Old Gods was really intriguing.
But each subsequent teaser should add something interesting about the subject.
Introducing random characters that we already know adds nothing new.
There is no incremental hint here, hence we are not really teased about anything. These are mockers more than teasers.
One teaser and then silence would have been brutal, but less boring.
Or at least, the whole thing should have been built upon new characters.
Yesterday you wrote the following:
It seems to me you gotta make your mind up, pal.
I think I get it.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Vulgar fun for the vulgar crowd for a mindless target audience. It promises yet another year of skill insulting aggressive/OTK with different cards.
We make our world significant through the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers.

Dont worry, soon we we will get to see the release schedule and then we will all guess what the card is by looking at tiny little pictures
Whoa whoa whoa now, that's not correct!
There's just some fantastic opportunities out there to make some dolla.

Cool story bro
First teaser. "Wow, this is nce. I'm hyped".
Second teaser. "Okay, nice to see a lot of people theorycrafting. It's still getting me hyped. The next update better be the new expansion announcement"
Third teaser "How long can this go on?"
Blizzard, you tease.
There isnt much unique flavor to them so far, I get that. I believe they are doing it to not completely spoil the theme while reusing some animatics.
Im sure the full announcement will be back to the normal "drenched in theme" business.
