could these card backs have a connection with the expansions of year of the dragon ? the only issue is the last one seems to be a bone or a teeth, which could refer to an orc or dragon themes expansion, not machines. 

hope legion expansion doesnt bring broken cards as kof did

Not sure, but they do seem connected ( the cardbacks i mean). They all rhyme and each do say " in a future event". The expansions probably don't have that much in common with these " future events". So while the cardbacks are connected, I believe they have little to do with these future expansions

It would be weird that they release stuff dedicated to new releases before those releases kick in.

Thematically, i see no connection either. 

They could be.  Many people are speculating that the first expansion is Dalaran themed.  In WoW, the city was used as a sort of base of operations in the fight against the Legion.

Maybe there would be some in game event where Legion enemies invade regular play modes (or just a Tavern Brawl) and if you defeat enough of them, you get the new card back.

I haven’t seen much discussion about these card backs. I have no idea what they could be for at all. They could be part of a paid event though (or event bundle), going by their past history I don’t see them giving all 3 of these card backs away for free. Maybe a Twitch prime thing also, ugh...

Made a post a while back talking about that here. People told me they're related to the rastakan brawls, but that came and went with no card backs. The first card kinda shares a color with the first expansion teaser, but the other two have nothing to do with each other. Waiting for the expansion announcements before I update it.

Card backs rarely have anything to do with expansions. Sometimes they may but usually not. Like this months.. could it be a pizza themed xpac?Gonna say no. While delicious not a good theme for HS.

The speculation going on about the expansions is pure poppycock.  Remember the 'Year of the Griffon'?  If someone thinks they can predict expansions based on the graphic or the card back, I got a bridge to sell you.
